Lives on the line, family betrayals, and a Halloween Salem will not soon forget. This week on Days of Our Lives, Salem was filled with heartbreak, life-changing decisions, and the kind of family drama that makes this soap so compelling. Xander Kiriakis’ (Paul Telfer) fight for survival brought Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) face-to-face with her true feelings, while Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) finally stood up to his father, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). Meanwhile, Kristen D

Salem had no shortage of story developments this week, but the real question is whether Days of Our Lives made those developments as compelling as they should have been. Kristen DiMera faced an emotional reckoning with her daughter, Joy Wesley continued manipulating Alex Kiriakis, Leo Stark and Javi Hernandez confronted their unresolved feelings, and Johnny DiMera's decision to fire George O'Halloran set off a dangerous chain of events. Meanwhile, questions about Dominic's id

Salem was filled with secrets, suspicious behavior, family drama, and emotional reunions this week on Days of Our Lives. Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) tracked down Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) and brought her back to Salem, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) struggled with the accusations against Kristen, and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) became increasingly suspicious of Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins). Meanwhile, Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) found a new purpose, the Kiriakis family

Salem has never been a place where family secrets stay buried, but this week on Days of Our Lives, the past came knocking with a vengeance. Between Johnny DiMera turning against his father, the Kiriakis family resorting to some questionable real estate tactics, and Marlena Evans confronting a potentially devastating revelation, there was plenty of drama to go around. Fortunately, the week wasn't all heartbreak and betrayal. Chanel reached an emotional milestone in her recover

Apparently, death remains more of a suggestion than a permanent condition in Salem. Days of Our Lives is bringing Sophia Choi back from the dead this week, with Rachel Boyd returning to the role after viewers were led to believe the troubled teen had met a very different fate earlier this year. Even better, Sophia’s reappearance puts her directly in the path of the woman who thought she had gotten rid of her for good: Kristen DiMera. Boyd officially returns in the Friday, Oct

Salem is getting a familiar soap face for one day only, and daytime fans are definitely going to recognize him. Former General Hospital star Tajh Bellow is temporarily stepping into the role of Theo Carver on Days of Our Lives, filling in for Tyler Joseph Andrews for a single episode airing Tuesday, October 6 on Peacock. Andrews was unavailable when the episode was filmed, leading to the brief recast rather than any permanent change behind the scenes. Soap fans know Bellow be

Philip returned home with enough money to save Titan only to learn he was too late to save the Kiriakis mansion, Sarah found herself fighting to protect her career, Johnny finally began pushing back against EJ, and Marlena came face-to-face with a shocking piece of her own past. By Friday, the Dominic Marino mystery had taken a turn that coul

Soap fans have plenty to keep an eye on Tuesday, September 22, as confrontations, secrets and relationship drama take center stage across daytime. On General Hospital, Britt and Anna finally come face-to-face, while The Bold and the Beautiful puts Steffy and Finn at the center of another major development. Meanwhile, Claire gets a painful reminder of her past on The Young and the Restless, Sarah finds herself in danger on Days of Our Lives, and Chelsea learns more than she ex

Secrets continued to unravel in Salem this week as Joy’s recovery took a frightening turn, Johnny found himself dangerously close to being exposed, and Belle and Chad’s investigation into Stefano’s mysterious clues took them one step closer to the truth. Meanwhile, Gwen’s plans to purchase the hospital fell apart, Xander struggled with his feelings for Sarah, and Sydney returned to Salem. And, as always, just when it seemed like one mystery was finally making sense, another s

The DiMera Chess Mystery Is Going International! At the Brady Pub, Belle is on the phone with her brother Paul and fills him in on everything she and Chad have uncovered surrounding the mysterious DiMera chess puzzle. She has already sent over all the information they have found, but the deeper they dig, the stranger this mystery becomes. Marlena joins the conversation and gives her daughter a little history lesson because when it comes to the DiMeras and the Brady women, the

Sarah may be trying to build something with Brady, but her feelings for Xander aren't disappearing quite so easily. On the September 3 episode of Days of Our Lives, Sarah finally put those complicated emotions into words, unfortunately, Xander was close enough to hear them. The drama unfolded during the daddy-daughter dance, where several Salem families gathered for what should have been a relatively sweet event. Brady, however, couldn't ignore what he has been noticing betwe

Xander and Victoria Share a Sweet Father-Daughter Moment At Horton Square, Xander talks with Victoria about her upcoming birthday and makes sure they have enough presents for her special day. He sweetly tells her that having him as her father is the greatest present of all. Xander and Victoria later continue exploring Horton Square before settling down together. They spot a nearby keyboard, and Xander encourages Victoria to give it a try. He is completely surprised when she s

Well, Days of Our Lives fans called this one. When the Peacock soap announced last month that Sydney Malakeh was joining the cast but refused to reveal her character, it didn't take long for viewers to notice the rather convenient first name. Now the mystery is officially over: Malakeh has been cast as Sydney DiMera, the daughter of Sami Brady and EJ DiMera. According to Deadline, Malakeh will make her first appearance as Sydney on Wednesday, September 9, bringing the legacy

Maggie and Holly at the Kiriakis Estate Maggie connects with Holly at the Kiriakis Estate. Holly hopes Xander will find a way for them to stay in the house. Maggie admits she wishes that were possible too, but reminds Holly that, as much as they love the Kiriakis mansion, it is still only a house. Maggie then gives Holly a special gift that Daniel once gave her: a matching necklace and ring set. Maggie says she has no idea where the ring is, but Holly is overcome with joy by

Salem has been missing one of its most important residents, but that is finally about to change. Suzanne Rogers is returning to Days of Our Lives as Maggie Horton Kiriakis, with the longtime cast member set to appear again beginning Monday, August 31. And really, Salem needs Maggie back. Between the Kiriakis family drama, Sarah and Xander's never-ending problems and everything else happening around town, leaving all these people unsupervised for this long was probably not the

A new week means a fresh round of bad decisions, buried secrets and people who should probably stop plotting before somebody catches them. From Genoa City to Port Charles, Salem and Fairmont Crest, the soaps are heading into September with plenty already brewing. On The Young and the Restless, Victor gives Victoria the green light to make a move against Jabot while Phyllis once again lands herself in questionable territory. General Hospital has Drew out for vengeance as sever

Well, this is one way to return from the dead without actually returning from the dead. Brandon Butler is headed back to Days of Our Lives, but viewers shouldn't expect to see him playing Zack Brady again. The actor has been cast as a brand-new character named Mason Whitfield, with his first episode set to stream Tuesday, September 1 on Peacock. It's an interesting bit of soap casting considering Butler appeared on Days just last year as the adult version of Bo and Hope Brady

Salem is getting another familiar face from the soap world. General Hospital and The Young and the Restless alum Brytni Sarpy has officially joined the cast of Days of Our Lives. The Peacock soap announced the casting on August 24, sharing a photo of Sarpy outside her dressing room at the show's Burbank studio. There's just one rather important detail DAYS isn't sharing yet: who she's playing. For now, Sarpy's character is being kept under wraps, leaving plenty of room for sp
