Soap Spoilers for the Week of August 31: Victor Targets Jabot, Drew Wants Revenge & Philip Shocks Gabi

A new week means a fresh round of bad decisions, buried secrets and people who should probably stop plotting before somebody catches them. From Genoa City to Port Charles, Salem and Fairmont Crest, the soaps are heading into September with plenty already brewing.

On The Young and the Restless, Victor gives Victoria the green light to make a move against Jabot while Phyllis once again lands herself in questionable territory. General Hospital has Drew out for vengeance as several Port Charles residents uncover information that could change everything. Over on Days of Our Lives, Philip catches Gabi completely off guard, while a mystery involving EJ, Chad and Belle deepens. And on Beyond the Gates, Bill and Hayley’s increasingly complicated marriage is only one of several situations threatening to blow up.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victor Gives Victoria the Green Light

Victor Newman apparently looked at the Abbott-Newman rivalry and decided it needed a little more gasoline.

On Monday, Victor gives Victoria his blessing to attack Jabot, while Nick delivers a chilly warning to Phyllis and Stephanie turns on the charm with Nate. Things only get stranger for Phyllis on Tuesday when she seeks advice from an unexpected source. Matt Clark also pays Patty a visit, while Sally grows concerned that Billy isn't paying enough attention to their future.

By Wednesday, Lauren and Michael aren't happy about Phyllis' latest move, Billy delivers shocking news to Lily and Cane, and Audra opens up to Sally about something from her past. Thursday brings Nick face-to-face with his past, while Phyllis agrees to keep a secret for Matt and Daniel clears the air with Mariah.

The week closes with trouble interrupting Jack and Diane's romantic getaway. Nate's loved ones rally around him ahead of his surgery, while Nick somehow manages to end up in a compromising position. Because apparently a normal Friday simply isn't an option in Genoa City.

General Hospital Spoilers: Drew Makes His Move

Drew isn't letting anything go quietly next week, and his desire for revenge could create even more problems in Port Charles.

Monday finds Sonny offering reassurance as Britt and Willow bond, Dante gives Chase some advice, Rocco and Scout discover a secret, and Drew makes his move. On Tuesday, Ava jumps into action, Charlotte becomes alarmed, Carly turns to Jason for help, Dante and Lulu reach an understanding, and Isaiah surprises Portia.

Wednesday brings hesitation from Anna, a romantic surprise from Gio, news from Lucas for Britt and reassurance from Danny for Charlotte. Josslyn also decides to follow a hunch.

Things escalate Thursday when Drew carries out a vengeful act. Valentin and Carly develop a theory, Danny finally comes clean to Jason, Chase and Joe compare notes, and Sonny pitches an idea to Justine.

By Friday, Trina receives shocking information, Anna crosses paths with Jason, Drew is furious and Alexis helps Sonny navigate a legal matter. Ava, meanwhile, needs to think fast — which is rarely a sentence that leads somewhere peaceful on General Hospital.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Philip Has a Question for Gabi

Salem is bringing proposals, secrets and a little mystery into September.

Monday starts with Gwen rejecting an offer from EJ, Cat confessing something to Rafe and Philip stunning Gabi with a proposal. Marlena offers to help Xander, while Leo reaches out to Javi.

Tuesday brings good news for Chanel and Johnny, Paulina opens up to Marlena, Holly introduces Julie to a new classmate, Julie contacts Maggie, and Lani reminds Abe that he'll always be family.

On Wednesday, Philip confronts Joy while Steve and Kayla receive a special opportunity. Sarah and Brady become suspicious, Xander discovers one of Victoria's hidden talents, and Alex and Stephanie manage to find some common ground.

Thursday includes Salem's Daddy-Daughter Dance, a special gift for Rachel from Kristen and a mysterious memory that catches Marlena by surprise. EJ also surprises Belle and Chad.

And that last surprise may be especially important because Friday reveals that someone is watching EJ, Chad and Belle. Chanel questions Johnny's loyalty, Holly opens up to Tate and Rita decides that following orders exactly as given might be overrated.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Bill Puts Hayley to the Test

Things aren't exactly calming down in Fairmont Crest.

Bill puts Hayley to the test Monday as Dani gives Nicole an update, Ted offers Andre some unconventional advice and Grayson turns to Jacob for help. Elon questions Joey, while Heather makes a bold move.

Tuesday gets even busier when Dani hears a heartfelt confession, Nicole counsels her daughter and Hayley is brought to tears. Chelsea and Kat struggle to escape scandal, Carlton has stunning news for Andre, Izaiah surprises Eva and Naomi may have taken on more than she expected.

Wednesday finds Vernon supporting Anita, Leslie receiving an intriguing proposition and Smitty growing increasingly suspicious. Joey comforts Vanessa, Deanna continues dealing with grief and one couple finally manages to make time for romance.

By Thursday, Bill has an unwelcome visitor while Smitty seeks Nicole's expertise. Joey's past decisions continue to bother him, Heather connects with June, Ted goes into damage-control mode, Ashley leans on Naomi, and Elon clashes with Jacob.

Friday brings one last wave of problems. Dani is distracted from her “Seoul-mate,” Andre struggles with paranoia and Bill stuns Hayley. Heather gets into a heated standoff, Vanessa and Deanna uncover something connected to the period before Doug's death, Randy tries to carry out Joey's orders, Chelsea falls out of fashion, and Ted delivers a twisted toast.

Which Soap Has the Biggest Week?

There's actually a little something for everybody here. Y&R has the Newman-Abbott war heating back up, GH has Drew going deeper into revenge territory, DAYS is mixing romance with the EJ/Belle/Chad mystery, and BTG continues making Bill and Hayley's marriage one of the biggest ticking time bombs in Fairmont Crest.

And with September officially beginning Tuesday, these spoilers definitely feel more like setup than payoff. Whatever these shows are planning for fall, several storylines appear ready to move into their next phase.
