Salem has never been a place where family secrets stay buried, but this week on Days of Our Lives, the past came knocking with a vengeance. Apparently, death remains more of a suggestion than a permanent condition in Salem. Days of Our Lives is bringing Sophia Choi back from the dead this week, with Rachel Boyd returning to the role after viewers were led to believe the troubled teen had met a very different fate earlier this year. Even better, Sophia’s reappearance puts her directly in the path of the woman who thought she had gotten rid of her for good: Kristen DiMera. Boyd officially returns in the Friday, Oct

Kelker-Kelly died on Saturday, October 3, in Missouri. His death was confirmed by a medical examiner, while a cause of death has not been publicly announced. Salem spent the week chasing answers, but every answer only seemed to create another question. From the glittering poker tables of Monte Carlo to the DiMera secrets buried in Italy, the past continued reaching into the present. The DiMera Chess Mystery Is Going International! At the Brady Pub, Belle is on the phone with her brother Paul and fills him in on everything she and Chad have uncovered surrounding the mysterious DiMera chess puzzle. Marlena joins the conversation and gives her daughter a little history lesson because when it comes to the DiMeras and the Brady women, the

Sarah may be trying to build something with Brady, but her feelings for Xander aren't disappearing quite so easily. On the September 3 episode of Days of Our Lives, Sarah finally put those complicated emotions into words, unfortunately, Xander was close enough to hear them. The drama unfolded during the daddy-daughter dance, where several Salem families gathered for what should have been a relatively sweet event. Brady, however, couldn't ignore what he has been noticing betwe

Well, Days of Our Lives fans called this one. When the Peacock soap announced last month that Sydney Malakeh was joining the cast but refused to reveal her character, it didn't take long for viewers to notice the rather convenient first name. Now the mystery is officially over: Malakeh has been cast as Sydney DiMera, the daughter of Sami Brady and EJ DiMera. According to Deadline, Malakeh will make her first appearance as Sydney on Wednesday, September 9, bringing the legacy

Maggie then gives Holly a special gift that Daniel once gave her: a matching necklace and ring set. Maggie says she has no idea where the ring is, but Holly is overcome with joy by

Salem has been missing one of its most important residents, but that is finally about to change. Suzanne Rogers is returning to Days of Our Lives as Maggie Horton Kiriakis, with the longtime cast member set to appear again beginning Monday, August 31. And really, Salem needs Maggie back. Between the Kiriakis family drama, Sarah and Xander's never-ending problems and everything else happening around town, leaving all these people unsupervised for this long was probably not the

Well, this is one way to return from the dead without actually returning from the dead. Brandon Butler is headed back to Days of Our Lives, but viewers shouldn't expect to see him playing Zack Brady again. The actor has been cast as a brand-new character named Mason Whitfield, with his first episode set to stream Tuesday, September 1 on Peacock. It's an interesting bit of soap casting considering Butler appeared on Days just last year as the adult version of Bo and Hope Brady
