The week of August 17 is going to be a busy one in daytime television. General Hospital starts the week with Carly enlisting a new ally on Monday, August 17, while Josslyn turns to Michael for assistance. Lucas and Joe get a chance to bond, Brook Lynn is left floored by something she learns or witnesses and Serena pushes back.

Things get even more interesting Tuesday when Jason delivers news that shocks Britt. Anna and Sonny find some unexpected common ground, while Josslyn inadvertently says too much. Lucy is rattled, and Ava becomes concerned for Lucas.

Whatever Josslyn lets slip could become particularly important considering where the story goes later in the week. By Thursday, Anna will be introducing Tristan to Josslyn, so there are definitely some moving pieces coming together here.

Before that happens, Wednesday brings its own share of developments. Ric gets an eyeful, Sonny offers his blessing and Drew has a tense encounter with Nina. Jordan receives an unexpected offer, while Kai finds himself feeling uneasy.

And poor Ric apparently doesn't handle whatever is happening particularly well because Thursday's spoilers reveal that he spirals. Carly also makes a realization, Anna introduces Tristan to Josslyn, Liz opens up to Dante and Lulu has words with Valentin. There are several conversations happening that day that could have some serious ripple effects in Port Charles.

By Friday, Drew appears ready to change his approach when he offers an olive branch. Ava reassures Portia, Sonny pays someone a surprise visit and Jordan receives a vote of confidence. Over in Salem, Days of Our Lives wastes absolutely no time getting emotional.

Wednesday brings movement for several Salem couples and families. Xander receives an offer on the house, while Brady and Sarah take a big step forward. Marlena gets pulled into the chessboard mystery, Philip makes one final pitch to Gabi and Leo gives Dimitri the hard truth.

Wednesday brings a potentially happier development when Nicole's plan saves the night for Noah. Dani and Andre color outside the lines, while Jacob recruits Grayson and Ashley to surprise Naomi. Vernon also has plans for Anita, although those plans end up being interrupted.

The past becomes a major theme Thursday. Leslie is forced to reckon with hers if she wants to move forward with her future, while Bill and Ted bond over their shared history. An unexpected reaction causes Nicole to examine herself in front of Kial, and Eva and Izaiah exchange some difficult truths.

By Friday, Chelsea is haunted by unresolved trauma at the same time her father reaches his breaking point.
