The final episode opens with Carrie—now revealed to be Josephine—pointing a gun at Marissa, Peter, and their family. Colin rushes her to try to grab the gun, but in the struggle she accidentally shoots him. She allows Lia to call an ambulance and run outside to let it in. She also allows Brian to go upstairs and attend to Milo, wo is now awake and calling out for his mom. The episode opens six years ago with Josie — who we know as Carrie Finch — living in a trailer under a bridge with Kyle. She’s pregnant and wants a crib, so she goes out to buy one. When she returns, Kyle is being arrested. The officer tells her he’s being taken in for selling drugs, and Kyle insists he only did it because he wanted money for the crib.
