All Her Fault S1 E6 Recap: Milo Returns, Ransom Revealed & Carrie Finch Strikes

Man in dark coat holds plush frog in a dimly lit room, appearing thoughtful. Pale wall panels and a doorway visible in the background.

Detective Alcaras tells them that Milo has been found. They rush to the police station, relieved to see Milo happy and healthy. During the interview, Milo explains that he was “on vacation,” that a man blindfolded him and left him in a park, and that he rode in the trunk of a car—but it was only a very short drive. When Milo starts getting tired, Marissa and Peter ask if they can take him home. Marissa can’t shake the feeling that Milo was returned, not found.

Back at home, Marissa tries to ease Milo back into his routine. He tells her that he and Carrie used to play dress-up and play together all the time. But Milo also shows some anger—he dumps flour everywhere and yells at Jacob when Jenny brings him over. Marissa realizes it’s too soon for him to have company.

The detectives later tell Marissa that Milo was likely returned because a ransom was paid. She’s stunned—no one ever contacted her about a ransom. Following a lead to a motel room, the detectives find a body. The cause of death is trauma to the head, and there’s a birthday cake for Milo sitting in the room.

They then inform Marissa they found another dead body they believe was killed by Carrie Finch. Marissa starts to feel unsafe, convinced Carrie is watching them, and she and Peter begin installing cameras and upgrading security around the house.

Soon after, Marissa finds a bag of money hidden in Milo’s room. She confronts Peter. He admits there was a ransom call, and they told him to gather the cash—but the kidnappers never called back, which is why the money is still there. He begs her not to tell the police. Later, the police call Marissa to say the body in the motel was identified as Rob Murphy, who had ties to illegal gambling debts. They ask if she recognizes the name; she says she doesn’t. She also doesn’t tell them about Peter’s ransom call or the money.

Meanwhile, Jenny is in a pitch meeting when she gets a call from Sarah saying she needs to pick Jacob up early from a playdate. When Jenny arrives, Sarah tells her she tried calling Richie first, but he didn’t answer—even though Sarah had seen him sitting in his car earlier and he didn’t look busy. Sarah then suggests that now that Milo is home, Jenny should focus more on her own family. Jenny does not like what she’s implying.

Jenny goes to the park and finds Richie in his car eating and scrolling on his phone. He confesses he’s been lying about working in the afternoons. Jenny realizes she’s been unhappy for a long time and tells him she wants a divorce.

The detectives visit the home of Rob Murphy’s ex-wife, Irene Murphy. She’s reluctant to talk but eventually lets them in. They notice her daughter, Josephine Murphy, in an old photo—and quickly realize Josephine is actually Carrie Finch.

Meanwhile, Marissa is going over some accounts her firm handles and notices several of them are flagged for suspicious activity—including Lia’s. She starts to wonder if Colin has been defrauding the company and whether he might somehow be involved in Milo’s kidnapping. Lia and Colin come by the house, and when Marissa confronts him, he admits he slipped back into gambling and owed money to his bookie—but insists he never thought his bookie would be connected to Milo’s kidnapping.

As they’re talking, Carrie suddenly walks into the living room holding a gun.
