All Her Fault Episode 2 Recap: Carrie’s Secret Life and Milo’s Shocking Disappearance Twist

A woman with long blonde hair, wearing a gray coat, gazes thoughtfully to the right. Background shows blurred greenery and a clear sky.

Episode 2 opens with Marissa and Peter settling into their new house, and baby Milo is in full newborn chaos mode. He’s not sleeping, Marisa’s not sleeping, and she’s desperately cycling through every tip, trick, and strategy the internet has ever invented. She begs Peter for help, but he’s far more interested in everything except the baby—or her exhaustion.

Meanwhile, the police head back to interview Jenny and Richie and press them for more details about their nanny, Carrie. The detectives reveal that Carrie’s name, her license, her résumé, and even her references were all fake. Jenny and Richie are stunned. Jenny explains that the only change in Carrie’s schedule was one requested day off, the 25th, and she was out all day.

Billboards about Milo’s disappearance go up around town, and while dropping off her son, Jacob, at school, Jenny gets cornered by Sarah and a few other parents. They want the tea about Carrie—and they warn Jenny that Marissa is probably going to blame her for everything spiraling out of control.

Somewhere else, Peter makes a shady call asking what it would cost to “end this now.” At the same time, Marissa calls Colin, practically spiraling, asking if he thinks Peter is having an affair. Colin says he doesn’t know and says he’s never seen anything to suggest it.

Marissa and Peter then face the media at a press conference about Milo’s kidnapping. The reporters come for Marissa hard, accusing her of staging the kidnapping because her financial firm is in debt and being audited. Afterward, Peter tells her he’d gotten a tip that a story was about to drop claiming they faked the kidnapping. The mysterious financial call we saw Peter make? He says it was him trying to pay someone off so the story wouldn’t run.

Marissa, still suspicious, accuses Peter of having an affair with Carrie Finch. Peter swears he’s never even met Carrie. She pushes further, asking where he was on the 25th—the same day Carrie took off of work. Peter finally admits he was meeting with a neurosurgeon about an experimental (and extremely expensive) treatment for his brother Brian’s spinal condition. He didn’t want to tell her because he didn’t want to add more stress. He reassures her that he has never cheated, loves her deeply, and loves Milo.

Later, Peter tells detectives that he financially supports his disabled brother Brian and fully bankrolls his sister Leah’s lifestyle. He explains that Brian wasn’t always disabled—there was an accident, and it was Leah’s fault.

The investigation shifts when police find Carrie Finch’s abandoned nanny car way out of town. At the same time, Marisa and Jenny put together that Carrie and Ana had been meeting every Tuesday, taking the boys to the park for milkshakes. Suddenly they realize—Carrie and Ana were actually friends.

The episode ends with Carrie in an apartment, having changed her appearance and hiding out with Milo. When someone knocks at the door, she urgently tells Milo to hide. At the same moment, we see Ana leaving her own apartment, looking like she’s on the verge of running away too.
