Medical dramas love to push their genius doctors to the absolute brink, but NBC’s Brilliant Minds just took things to a heartbreaking level. After a brutal, long and confusing hiatus, Season 2, Episode 15, titled "The Missing Person," returned to remind us all why NBC made a huge mistake canceling this series. Wolf's eccentricities is usually the best part of the show, but the writers decided to flip the coin and have it be the downfall of our favorite doctor with face blindness all season and tonight, it came to a head. My favorite part about this episode? It was officially Dr. Carol Pierce’s time to shine. While Wolf was busy spiraling out of reality, Carol stepped up to carry the hospital, the interns and the audience. For fans who have been waiting to see how the fallout of Wolf's breakdown would handle itself, this episode delivered a compelling medical case and a truly devastating ending. Strap in, spoilers ahead. It has been three days since anyone has seen Wolf. He left his motorcycle at Josie’s mechanic shop and simply vanished into thin air. Naturally, Carol is the only one tracking the breadcrumbs. That's his best friend for real. Her search, naturally, leads her straight to Wolf’s house, but instead of finding her missing best friend, she finds Brad. Who is Brad? Oh, just a one-night stand of Wolf’s who decided that a missing doctor's house was the perfect opportunity to play a free game of Airbnb. Granted, Wolf, uncharacteristically lets his one night stand stay, sending multiple red flags up for Carol. She politely but firmly kicks him out. While Carol is playing detective, the relationship drama back at the hospital is no better. Dana’s girlfriend, Katie, is ready to take the next step and move in together. Dana agrees, but it is glaringly obvious that her heart is absolutely not in it. To make things ten times more awkward, Katie expects Ericka to pack her bags and move out immediately. The communication here is a total wreck. Katie accidentally lets it slip to Ericka that she is moving in, which forces Ericka to start planning her exit. When Dana finds out, she is not having it. She tells Katie that she is not ready for this massive leap. I was thinking that if they did move in together, it was kind of fast. We haven't see much of their relationship to warrant such a big step. Thankfully, instead of a screaming match, the two actually have an honest, grown-up conversation. Katie confesses her love, clearing the air and giving them a real foundation to work on, even if the moving trucks have to wait. Dana and I were on the same wavelength because was it me or Dana never said those three words back. Interesting. A young woman named Denise is brought in suffering from what looks like extreme panic attacks. However, this is Brilliant Minds, so a simple panic attack is never just a panic attack. The team discovers Denise actually has a tumor that is pumping massive amounts of adrenaline straight into her system. Girl, what? The plot thickens when Silva discovers Denise is on the NYPD missing persons list. When her family arrives, the real truth comes out. Denise did not run away to party techincally she ran away from the crushing burden of being her father’s sole caregiver. Her two deadbeat brothers were offering zero help, leaving her to drown in responsibility. Did they really say you can get two weekends off? Read the room fellas. With Carol and the interns backing her up, Denise finally finds her voice. She confronts her brothers and lays down the law: it is time for their father to go into a professional care facility. I appreciate this storyline because it touches on a topic overlooked. You see commercials about being paid to take care of grandma but the burden can be too much. Kudos to the writers. Back on the Wolf hunt, Carol turns to the interns to see if anyone has heard from the boss. They have not, but Charlie pulls Carol aside for a private confession. Charlie admits that he actually hired a private investigator to dig up Wolf’s past to bring him down. That PI is how Charlie found the address to Wolf’s father’s house. Carol is rightfully horrified and tells Charlie in no uncertain terms that he needs serious professional help. Carol rushes to the father's house, but she is too late. Wolf is gone, leaving behind nothing but his frantic, messy writings scattered across the room. Josh handles the situation, gently guiding a frantic Wolf away before he causes a scene. When Carol finally catches up to Wolf, we get the most heartbreaking scene of the episode. He tells Carol he wants to check himself into the Hudson Oaks psychiatric facility, believing it is the only way to truly help Sophia. The episode ends by catching up to the flash-forward teased earlier this season. We watch Dr. Oliver Wolf officially check into Hudson Oaks as a patient. Tamberla Perry completely owned this episode. Like sands through the hourglass Ryan Quan is returning to ‘Days of Our Lives’ as the daytime drama's new co-head writer. The news hit the soap opera circuit like the a Marlena possession storyline. Multiple industry sources confirm that Quan is packing up his laptop and heading back to his old stomping grounds. He will be stepping into the co-head writer shoes left vacant by Paula Cwikly, who has reportedly decided to opt for a less dramatic real-life retirement. Quan will be sharing the steering wheel with current co-head writer Jeanne Marie Ford. Days has been a bit all of the place lately, not saying General Hospital has been any better, but maybe when this duo combines their daytime power, we are bound to get something good. To make this homecoming happen, Quan had to pull off a little network hopping. He is officially walking away from ABC’s General Hospital, where he has been serving as a breakdown writer since 2025. His stint in Port Charles was relatively short, making his quick U-turn back to the Days writing room look like a classic case of a writer realizing the grass isn't always greener, even if it is watered by a different network's budget. For General Hospital fans, losing a writer is just another Tuesday. But for the Salem faithful, Quan’s swift retreat from ABC is a massive win. Soap fans are notoriously protective of their show’s history and Quan happens to hold the keys to the kingdom. When a soap opera has been on the air for over half a century, keeping track of who slept with whose secret twin in 1994 becomes a Herculean task. Heidi Plays Her Cards Right Heidi walked into the episode holding all the power thanks to her advantage from last week. She earned the right to pick the teams and she chose safety over numbers. Heidi aligned herself with the Americas, leaving the Europe and Asian-Pacific regions to band together on the opposing side. This strategic move gave the newly formed Euro-Asian alliance a massive numbers advantage, leaving them with ten cooks compared to the smaller Americas squad. On paper, more hands make light work. In the MasterChef kitchen, extra bodies usually just mean more people to argue over the seasoning. Blue Team Overcomplicates, Red Team Sticks to the Basics With the teams set, the captains stepped up to lead. Ted took the reins for the Blue Team (Europe/Asian-Pacific), while Dave headed the Red Team (Africa and the Americas). The difference in leadership styles became obvious during the menu planning stage. Instead of using their extra manpower to perfect one stellar dish, Ted and the Blue Team let their numbers get to their heads. They assumed extra people meant they should serve extra food. The Blue Team struggled to manage their massive menu, and the grill station quickly turned into a literal bonfire. Flames flared up, smoke billowed and Ted looked entirely overwhelmed as the captain of a sinking ship. The Red Team did not fare much better at the start. Dave’s kitchen ran into the ultimate culinary sin: serving raw chicken to children. Gordon Ramsay stopped service before any kids could get sick, forcing the Red Team to regroup, recalibrate and finally get their poultry fully cooked. The Kids Have the Final Say Despite the raw chicken scare, the Red Team recovered fast enough to save their afternoon. The young soccer players voted with their taste buds. A classic fried chicken sandwich beats a crowded plate of orzo and lemon cookies every single time. The Red Team walked away with the victory, leaving the Blue Team to face the judges. Amazon MGM Studios clearly looked at the numbers for Reacher, looked at Alan Ritchson and decided, “Yeah, maybe let’s keep that guy around for a while.” The actor who turned Lee Child’s wandering vigilante into one of Prime Video’s biggest streaming success stories has officially signed a three-year, first-look television deal with Amazon MGM Studios through his production company, Dancing Skeleton. Translation: if Alan Ritchson has an idea for a TV project, Amazon gets first dibs. Reacher continues to play in millions of living rooms and bedrooms, with the series already renewed for Season 5 before Season 4 has even dropped, so this deal is not that much of a leap. With this new gig, Amazon practically gave this man an office. Not mention, the upcoming Neagley spinoff. The studio is betting that Ritchson’s appeal goes beyond one role. He’s become one of the apps most reliable action stars plus he can sing and he has the look. Ritchson would be focusing more on television than anything else. Streaming platforms love consistency right. People stop watching shows faster than network executives cancel them and Reacher has managed to become dependable appointment television. That’s becoming increasingly rare. Ritchson himself teased fans by saying, “Reacher is just the beginning.” Ok, we see you. For the studio, the plan is obvious. Keep the star happy, expand the brand and continue feeding subscribers the kind of crowd-pleasing action series that actually cuts through all the content. AMC is ready to shut the doors on Silicon Valley, at least for the summer. The season 1 finale of The Audacity is upon us and AMC was so kind to spill a drop of tea with a quick sneak peek of the drama. Agnes managed to avoid her own horrific wedding, but it cost her everything. After confessing to her powerful fiancé, Commander Weston, that she was also one of Dr. Grove's victims, Weston uses his muscle to help get Becka out of jail. The catch? He promptly calls off the engagement to protect his own political career from the taint of scandal. Agnes is sent packing right back to school, but she doesn't stay down for long. Enter Daisy, who has been busy playing courier for the underground resistance. In the absolute highlight of the episode, Daisy meets secretly with none other than June Osborne (a roaring, surprise return by Elisabeth Moss). Joel Kinnaman continues to anchor the series with that permanently exhausted “I’ve seen too much space politics” energy, while performers like Toby Kebbell, Edi Gathegi, Cynthy Wu, Coral Peña, and Wrenn Schmidt keep the emotional core grounded even when the story gets increasingly massive in scale.
