‘The Audacity’ Season 1 Finale Sneak Peek Teases Silicon Valley Meltdown in AMC’s Dark Tech Drama

AMC is ready to shut the doors on Silicon Valley, at least for the summer. The season 1 finale of The Audacity is upon us and AMC was so kind to spill a drop of tea with a quick sneak peek of the drama. Emmy Award-winner creator Jonathan Glatzer (Succession, Better Call Saul, Bad Sisters) heads into its Season 1 finale with things falling apart.

The eighth episode is titled “Granfalloon,” premiering Sunday, May 31 at 9pm ET/PT on AMC and is available now on AMC+. And if the sneak peek is any indication, the Winter Forum and Winter Gala are about to become the worst networking events in tech history, set in adjacent ballrooms, because subtlety left the industry a long time ago.

Duncan, JoAnne and Carl take center stage during the finale while their ethics have left the conversation. The entire season has played up the dark comedic tone and uses real life Silicon Valley to expose something far less polished underneath the glamour.

P.I.N.A.T.A. goes head-to-head with Hypergnosis in what can only be described as an ethics-vs-ambition showdown dressed up as corporate strategy. Meanwhile, the younger generation of tech hopefuls is forced to confront actual human consequences, an experience most of their mentors seem spectacularly unequipped to handle.

The finale is directed by Alex Buono and written by Jonathan Glatzer alongside Semi Chellas and Arthur Phillips. Don't worry, the series has already been renewed for season 2, so you can watch the finale with a sigh of relief. I have no clue what is going to happen on the finale but I can guarantee some watercooler chat.

The Season 1 finale of The Audacity premieres May 31 on AMC and streams on AMC+.
