‘The Sisters Grimm’ Season 2 Trailer Teases More Mysteries in Ferryport Landing

Sabrina and Daphne Grimm are heading back into the strange world of Ferryport Landing. Apple TV has released the official trailer for The Sisters Grimm Season 2, giving fans a new look at the sisters’ next round of magical adventures before the series returns in October.

Based on Michael Buckley’s bestselling book series, the animated fantasy adventure follows sisters Sabrina and Daphne Grimm, descendants of the Brothers Grimm who discover that fairy tales are very real. Their time in Ferryport Landing has already introduced them to plenty of heroes, villains and magical creatures, but the biggest mystery remains what happened to their missing parents.

Season 2 picks up one year after their parents mysteriously disappeared, with Sabrina and Daphne continuing to uncover the secrets hidden throughout Ferryport Landing. Apple is keeping specific plot details relatively quiet, but the new trailer promises more mysteries, more fairy-tale chaos and another round of adventures for the sisters as they dig deeper into the world around them.

Ariel Winter returns to voice Sabrina, while Leah Newman voices Daphne. The cast also includes Laraine Newman as Relda, Abubakar Salim as Charming, Billy Harris as Puck and Harry Trevaldwyn as Mirror, bringing back several of the characters who helped populate the magical town during the first season.

The series was developed by Amy Higgins, who also serves as showrunner, alongside Erica Rothschild. Titmouse handles the animation, while Higgins, Buckley, Elliot Blake, Philip Alberstat, Steven Amato and Theresa Park are among the executive producers.

Season 1 earned a 100% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, and Apple clearly is not wasting much time getting viewers back to Ferryport Landing. The second season arrives almost exactly one year after the show originally premiered, giving fans six new episodes to continue Sabrina and Daphne’s story.

With their parents still missing and Ferryport Landing apparently nowhere near finished revealing its secrets, Sabrina and Daphne have plenty left to investigate. The Sisters Grimm Season 2 premieres globally Friday, October 2, on Apple TV.
