‘Teen Wolf’ Star Tyler Posey Joins NBC’s ‘Line of Fire’

NBC’s Line of Fire is adding another familiar face to its growing lineup of guest stars. Teen Wolf alum Tyler Posey is joining the new drama for a multi-episode guest arc, with his first appearance set for Episode 5 on October 19.

Posey will play Brandon Hayes, an NSA agent and former Marine who shares a close friendship with Russ Hollingsworth. Russ, played by Taylor Bloom, is one of the younger members of the Hollingsworth family at the center of the series, so Posey’s arrival should give viewers another look at his life outside the family dynamics already driving the show.

Line of Fire premiered September 21 and follows a family whose members work across the FBI, U.S. Marshals, Secret Service and Department of Justice. What begins as a seemingly straightforward case develops into a deadly conspiracy, forcing the Hollingsworths to cross professional lines while trying to protect one another.

Peter Krause leads the cast as Secret Service agent Mike Hollingsworth, with Hope Davis as his estranged wife Jane, a U.S. Marshal. Kat Cunning, Tommy O’Brien and Taylor Bloom play their children Clare, Micah and Russ, while Charlie Barnett also stars as Jack.

Posey is best known for starring as Scott McCall throughout MTV’s Teen Wolf, a role he later reprised in Teen Wolf: The Movie. His addition continues a strong run of recognizable guest casting for Line of Fire, which has also lined up Sam Waterston as former President Thomas Barnes.

The casting also comes just as Line of Fire begins its first season on NBC. The series airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET and streams the following day on Peacock, with Season 1 consisting of 10 episodes.

Posey will make his Line of Fire debut in Episode 5 on October 19. With Brandon’s connection to Russ already established, his arrival could open another corner of the Hollingsworth story as the larger conspiracy continues unfolding.
