In Episode 7 of MobLand, titled “The Crossroads,” things take a dark turn as the Stevenson clan strikes back. Richie Stevenson kidnaps Brendan and Seraphina in a twisted act of revenge. And honestly, can we even blame him? After losing his own family, Richie’s not pulling any punches. Enter: Harry. Because of course the UK's latest action hero has to be named Harry. Is that a rule now? I am noticing a trend.
“You in danger, girl.” — Oda Mae Brown, and yes, this quote fits MobLand perfectly right now.
New Gangs, More Chaos
This week’s episode expands the MobLand universe by introducing two new criminal families, giving the Harrigans a run for their money. Remember when we thought they were the big bads? Not anymore.
Episode 7 turns up the heat with nonstop action sequences. Harry pulls off stunts that feel straight out of Mission: Impossible, Tom Cruise, watch your back.
Violence Overload or Gritty Realism?
While the storyline keeps us hooked, MobLand sometimes leans too hard into graphic violence. That chainsaw scene? A bit much. A well-placed implication would do just fine. Less can be more. RIP friend.

Helen Mirren Steals the Show
What truly shines in “The Crossroads” is Helen Mirren’s portrayal of Maeve. She's a master manipulator, playing everyone around her like it’s chess and she’s already five moves ahead. She’s a strong, unpredictable, and complex female character and those are always a win in my book. Mirren proves age is just a number, bringing sharp wit and chilling power to Maeve.
Jan, Don’t Do This!
Meanwhile, Jan, Harry’s wife, is spiraling deeper into Alice’s manipulative clutches. Watching her fall for the trap is frustrating. Jan, come on. Be smarter. We’re rooting for you! You would have thought that Harry taught her better than this.
A Tragic Ending
The episode closes with heartbreak: Brendan is gone, and Seraphina’s fate is uncertain. Harry now owes a dangerous favor, and that’s never a good thing in MobLand.
