FOX has officially renewed a slew of its primetime hits — including the animated comedies Grimsburg, Extracted, Krapopolis, and Universal Basic Guys, as well as the breakout game show The Floor — for two additional seasons each.

As streaming competition intensifies and traditional broadcast networks fight to stay relevant, FOX is making clear moves to secure franchise-worthy content. Its renewals not only show faith in current programming but also build anticipation for what’s next. By extending popular series and renewing Extracted, FOX is curating a future-ready mix of entertainment that appeals across demographics.

Starring Jon Hamm as the enigmatic detective Marvin Flute, Grimsburg debuted in January 2024 and has since gained momentum as a darkly funny, noir-inspired animated series. Its mix of crime procedural and absurdist humor earned it a second season renewal even before its premiere — and now, FOX has doubled down with a two-season pickup, ensuring fans will see more of Marvin’s twisted investigations and personal misadventures.

From Rick and Morty co-creator Dan Harmon, Krapopolis is an ancient Greece-set animated comedy following a dysfunctional family of gods and monsters. Known for its meta humor and cutting-edge animation, the series has already secured four seasons — an almost unheard-of feat in modern TV.

FOX’s confidence in Krapopolis shows the network’s long-term commitment to Harmon’s vision, further strengthened by strong viewership and fan engagement since its 2023 debut.

A more recent entry into FOX’s “Animation Domination” block, Universal Basic Guys satirizes the gig economy through the lens of two laid-off workers navigating a world with universal basic income. The show mixes laugh-out-loud moments with thought-provoking commentary on automation, capitalism, and personal reinvention.

Hosted by Rob Lowe, The Floor launched in early 2024 and quickly became one of FOX’s most-watched unscripted debuts in over a decade. With its high-stakes trivia format and visually stunning LED game board, the show’s engaging format pits 100 contestants against each other in category-based trivia duels.

This renewal solidifies FOX’s place in the competitive unscripted space, drawing viewers looking for smart, fast-paced game formats that reward knowledge and strategy.

Extracted the survival series recently wrapped its freshman season.
