- Dancing With the Stars Season 35: Some Cast Revealed, Spinoff Announced, and What to Expect
Hold onto your sequins and pray for your favorite spray-tan technician, because ABC isn’t letting the glitter settle just yet. Dancing With the Stars has officially been renewed for Season 35, proving that as long as there are C-list celebrities with a thirst for relevance and a pair of sensible heels, this show will never die. Coming off a season that saw Robert Irwin take home the trophy, the network clearly realized the formula still works: mix one part genuine talent with three parts reality TV desperation, shake well, and watch the internet argue about overscoring. Here is everything we know about the upcoming season, the first confirmed contestants, and why your Monday nights are about to get a lot louder. The First Lambs to the Slaughter: Meet the Season 35 Cast We finally have the first two names for the Season 35 roster, and the producers are leaning heavily into the Bravo-verse and the international reality circuit. First up is Maura Higgins. If you watched Love Island UK, you know Maura is essentially a human hurricane with an Irish accent. She’s already survived The Traitors, so a few backhanded compliments from the judges probably won’t faze her. Following her is Ciara Miller from Summer House. Ciara is no stranger to being on camera, but trading the Hamptons for the ballroom is a bold move. Can she find a rhythm that doesn’t involve dodging wine tosses? Only time and a very patient pro partner will tell. Familiar Faces and a New Spinoff While the full celebrity lineup is still being kept under wraps, likely hidden in a basement at Disney, the hosting duo of Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough is locked in. It’s a relief, honestly; at least we know the teleprompter transitions will be smooth even when the footwork isn't. Expect the usual suspects, Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli, to return to their pedestals. But the real news is the expansion of the "DWTS Universe." To bridge the gap until the Fall 2026 premiere, ABC is dropping Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro on July 13. Hosted by reigning champ Robert Irwin, it’s basically an audition process televised for our amusement, where 12 hopefuls fight for a pro contract. What to Expect This Fall Season 35 will continue its dual-broadcast strategy, airing live on ABC and Disney+, with the usual next-day recovery period on Hulu. Between the main show, the new spinoff, and the inaugural "DWTS Con" in Palm Springs, the network is working overtime to ensure we never have a moment where we aren't thinking about Argentine Tangos. As we wait for the rest of the cast to be revealed, one thing is certain: Season 35 is shaping up to be another exercise in high-stakes ballroom drama. Whether the dancing is actually good remains to be seen, but the spectacle is guaranteed. Do you think Maura Higgins has the footwork to go all the way, or is this just a pit stop on the reality TV carousel? Drop your casting wish list in the comments below and keep it locked to The TV Cave for every recap, ranking, and rhythmic disaster.
- ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars’ Season 11 Cast Revealed: Meet the Queens Ready to Rule the Werkroom
Start your engines, because RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars is back—and Season 11 is pulling no punches. With a stacked lineup of 18 returning queens, a high-stakes tournament format, and a $200,000 prize on the line, this latest installment isn’t just another lap around the runway. It’s a full-speed sprint to the crown, and every contestant came prepared to leave scorch marks on the Main Stage. Premiering Friday, May 8 on Paramount+, the new season ups the ante with a bracket-style “Tournament of All Stars.” The queens are split into three groups, battling it out across multiple episodes before the fiercest rise to the semi-finals and, ultimately, a Lip Sync Smackdown for the Crown. It’s a format designed to reward consistency, versatility, and stamina—qualities this cast has in spades. A Cast Built for Battle Let’s talk about the lineup, because it’s doing a lot, in the best way possible. Fan favorites like A’Keria C. Davenport and Kennedy Davenport are back to represent Texas with pageant polish and performance firepower. Kennedy, in particular, enters with something to prove after coming tantalizingly close to victory in past seasons. Expect her to be laser-focused and less interested in playing nice. Then there’s Silky Nutmeg Ganache, who practically hijacks any season she’s on with sheer presence alone. Love her or argue about her online for weeks, she makes compelling television. Pair that with heavy hitters like Jasmine Kennedie, Morphine Love Dion, and Aura Mayari, and the performance bar is already sky-high. Season 12 standout Crystal Methyd returns with her signature offbeat charm, while OGs like Morgan McMichaels and Mystique Summers bring veteran grit and a point to prove. Add in cult favorites like Vivacious, yes, with Ornacia and suddenly this cast feels like a love letter to longtime fans who’ve been watching since the early Logo TV days. Newer Queens, New Energy Season 11 smartly mixes in newer-era competitors, giving the cast a fresh edge. Hershii LiqCour-Jeté, Dawn, and Morphine Love Dion represent the latest generation of Drag Race talent, queens who understand the assignment when it comes to branding, social media, and delivering viral moments. And keep an eye on Lucky Starzzz and Sam Star, both coming off Season 17. They’re stepping into All Stars territory early, which either means they flame out fast or surprise everyone by dominating more seasoned competitors. Here’s everyone confirmed for Season 11 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars: A’Keria C. Davenport April Carrión Aura Mayari Crystal Methyd Hershii LiqCour-Jeté Jasmine Kennedie Joey Jay Kennedy Davenport Lucky Starzzz Dawn Morphine Love Dion Morgan McMichaels Mystique Summers Salina EsTitties Sam Star Shuga Cain Silky Nutmeg Ganache Vivacious The Format: Less Filler, More Killer The “Tournament of All Stars” structure feels like a direct response to past criticism about uneven pacing and questionable eliminations. By breaking the queens into smaller groups and tracking points, the show leans into performance over production meddling. In theory, that means fewer “robbed queen” debates and more focus on who actually delivers week after week. Of course, this is still Drag Race. Expect alliances, rivalries, and at least one argument that spirals into meme territory before the episode even ends. Untucked Returns (Because Of Course It Does) Alongside the main competition, RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars: Untucked is back to capture the behind-the-scenes tension. If history is any indicator, some of the season’s most memorable moments won’t happen on the runway—they’ll unfold backstage with a cocktail in hand and emotions running high. Final Thoughts Season 11 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars looks tailor-made for fans who crave high-level drag, strategic gameplay, and personalities that refuse to fade into the background. The mix of old-school legends and newer standouts gives the competition an unpredictable edge, while the revamped format could finally deliver a season where the best queen actually wins, imagine that. With a cast this stacked, the real question isn’t who will rise—it’s who will survive long enough to make it to the final lip sync. Buckle up.
- The Drama Review: Robert Pattinson and Zendaya Deliver a Relationship Gut-Punch You Can’t Look Away From
The Drama is one of those movies that really stuck with me after I left the cinema. It’s also a movie that’s causing a lot of discourse online and was so jarring that I ended up seeing it twice to fully form my opinions for this review. The movie follows Charlie and Emma, a young couple who are planning to get married and they shows the lead up to the ceremony and the downfall/changes within their relationship. Robert Pattinson and Zendaya give phenomenal performances in this movie, the writer really finds ways to make you care and see the situation from all angles of the people immediately affected by it. Did I agree with every choice they made? No. Did I think that Emma was judged a bit harshly by (notably) the white people on canvas? Yes. It was like watching a train wreck happen in real time and not being able to turn away or get off no matter how uncomfortable and unfortunate it becomes. Essentially, without giving too much away, the downfall of the relationship begins as Charlie, Emma, and two of their close friends are on a double date & play a game where they state the worst thing they have ever done in their life. Emma confesses that in high school she had something pretty drastic planned out and it immediately shifts the entire conversation and perception of her to their friends and even Charlie. Following that, we gradually see the lead up to their wedding become more and more tumultuous within their own relationship and with worries creeping in from both parties. Charlie tries to move past this secret that was revealed, but it seems like no matter what, it always is in the back of his mind. On the other hand, Emma feels like it should be left in the past where it was and she wants to be able to move forward with the wedding and feel secure in her relationship. I thought that the storytelling and the writing was really amazing in the film. As mentioned before, it’s a movie that really sat with me after I saw it the first time & I felt the need to go and see it again to get the full picture. The creative team behind it does a good job of making you see the story from all angles, whether you agree with the character’s decisions or not is totally a personal opinion, but it still feels like you have no choice but to see the full picture. There were times where I really was frustrated with how Charlie reacted towards Emma or the actions he took in response to the secret. Then I felt for Emma because it’s clear that she doesn’t want to be defined by something that she views as a dark point in her life that is not who she is at all. I think the subject matter is tough as well. It really brings it all to a place of questioning how unconditional is the love that you give to others in your life. At times, it feels like the love and care that Charlie (and even his friends) show Emma is fully conditional and only based on their perception of her. I know this review is kind of vague, but The Drama is one of those movies that I think you should go in blind for. The trailers tell you enough of the story to pull you in, but it’s not the whole picture by any means. I was fully surprised by the entirely of the story and I think that it’s definitely a work that has caused a lot of discussion. Also, if there is one thing I will say, please do not go into this film thinking that you are getting a romcom. The movie is not that by any means & while there is romance there, I think it really analyzes the downfall of a relationship and the dynamics which affect our love. Overall, I would give The Drama a 4.5/5 star rating.
- The Vampire Lestat Trailer: AMC’s Blood-Soaked Rock Opera Promises Glam, Grit, and One Very Extra Brat Prince
AMC is clearly not interested in playing it safe with The Vampire Lestat. The newly released trailer for the next chapter in Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe leans all the way into leather, ego, and theatrical excess and it works. Premiering June 7 on AMC and AMC+, the series puts Sam Reid front and center as Lestat, now reimagined as the world’s first immortal rock star. From the opening beats, the trailer makes it clear this isn’t a quiet, brooding gothic tale. Set to Lestat’s pulsing rendition of Dancing With Myself by Billy Idol, the footage oozes swagger. Reid’s Lestat struts across stages, drenched in spotlight and self-adoration, while flashes of his past creep in like unwelcome opening acts. Fame, immortality, and unresolved baggage? That’s a volatile mix and the trailer wastes no time showing the cracks beneath the glam. Fans of Anne Rice will recognize the DNA here, but this adaptation feels more interested in turning up the volume than preserving quiet reverence. That’s not a complaint. The series looks slick, stylish, and just self-aware enough to keep it from tipping into parody. Lestat has always been a character who demands attention; making him a literal rock icon feels less like a reinvention and more like the logical next step. The cast, including Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, Delainey Hayles, and Jennifer Ehle, gets quick but intriguing glimpses, hinting at emotional fallout and complicated reunions. Behind the scenes, showrunner Rolin Jones and producer Mark Johnson appear fully committed to delivering a series that’s as indulgent as its lead character. Musically, AMC is already pushing the series beyond the screen. Original tracks like “Long Face” and “All Fall Down,” composed by Daniel Hart and performed by Reid, suggest the show is aiming for full-on crossover appeal. If the trailer is any indication, the soundtrack may end up doing as much heavy lifting as the plot. The verdict? The Vampire Lestat trailer is loud, flashy, and completely unbothered by subtlety. It promises a series that embraces spectacle while digging into Lestat’s ever-complicated psyche. Whether you’re here for the music, the drama, or just to watch a centuries-old vampire bask in his own spotlight, AMC’s latest offering looks ready to deliver. Circle June 7. Lestat is taking the stage and he fully expects you to watch.
- ‘Zatima’ Sets Season 4B Premiere Date on Paramount+ — And Yes, the Drama Is About to Get Messier
Fans of Tyler Perry’s Zatima can officially mark their calendars and maybe clear their schedules because the hit drama is gearing up for its return. The back half of Season 4 is set to premiere May 12 on Paramount+, kicking off a weekly rollout that promises relationship strain, emotional curveballs, and the kind of interpersonal tension that has become the show’s calling card. Created by Tyler Perry, Zatima has never been shy about pushing its central couple, Zac and Fatima, into uncomfortable territory. Season 4B looks ready to double down on that formula. The new episodes pick up as the pair navigate major life milestones while dealing with mounting pressure from everyone around them because in this universe, peace and quiet are apparently off-limits. The season resumes with a two-episode premiere before settling into a weekly release schedule, leading up to a July 7 finale. It’s a rollout strategy that practically begs viewers to speculate, argue, and spiral on social media between episodes. And given the show’s track record, there will be plenty to unpack. Early episode details suggest the stakes are rising quickly. Zac steps in to help Connie after a devastating fire, while Fatima faces professional and personal challenges that threaten her already complicated balancing act. Meanwhile, Angela appears headed straight into a questionable romantic situation because no one in this circle has ever made a simple decision when a messy one will do. What continues to work in Zatima is its commitment to emotional escalation. Characters don’t just face problems; they marinate in them. Conversations stretch, tensions simmer, and when confrontations finally happen, they tend to land with impact. The show thrives on that slow-burn style, even if it occasionally tests viewers’ patience along the way. The returning cast, including DeVale Ellis and Crystal Reneé Hayslett, remains the engine driving the series. Their chemistry keeps the central relationship grounded, even as the plotlines veer into increasingly dramatic territory. Supporting players add fuel to the fire, ensuring that no conflict ever stays contained for long. With its mid-season return, Zatima isn’t reinventing itself, it’s leaning harder into what it already does well: complicated relationships, high-stakes decisions, and just enough unpredictability to keep viewers hooked. If the first half of Season 4 was any indication, the road ahead won’t be smooth and honestly, that’s exactly why people will be watching. May 12 can’t come soon enough.
- “Don’t Leave Me Hanging Here” Invincible Recap Season 4 Episode 8: Earth Faces an Unthinkable Threat
The Viltrumites arrive on Earth and begin their attack with a tidal wave and devastating bombs, leaving the planet in ruins. It’s a striking way to open the finale. Mark is already worried about their arrival, but the destruction turns out to be a nightmare. It’s a jarring fake-out that sets the tone for everything that follows. Nolan tries to reassure Mark that the Viltrumites may not even be headed to Earth, but Zoe quickly presses for a real plan if they are. The silence says everything. There is no plan, and she realizes just how unprepared they are for what’s coming. Meanwhile, Allen is struggling with the weight of his new leadership role. He complains to Telia about his appearance, but his insecurities go far deeper. He’s now responsible for defending hundreds of planets and trillions of lives, and the pressure is overwhelming. Telia reassures him that both she and Thaedus believed in him, but even that doesn’t fully settle his nerves as his inauguration approaches. Zoe attempts to rally Mark and Nolan with strategies, suggesting they use her space station as a base or even consider extreme sacrifices. Neither responds, reinforcing the growing tension. When they finally reach Earth’s solar system, Mark doesn’t wait for a plan and rushes home. Everything appears normal, which only deepens his unease. Mark reunites with Debbie, who is relieved he’s alive. He reassures her about Oliver, though his words feel uncertain. A sudden vision of Thragg murdering Debbie reveals itself as another hallucination, hinting at the psychological toll Mark is carrying. He leaves to see Eve while Nolan remains behind and faces Debbie’s anger. Their confrontation is tense, with Debbie unwilling to forgive and Nolan trying, unsuccessfully, to prove he’s changed. Zoe’s return home is more grounded but still emotional. She finds her father surrounded by mess and worry, and his relief at seeing her safe is immediate. He tries to downplay his struggles, but it’s clear how much the war has affected him. Mark’s reunion with Eve is heartfelt, though layered with stress. She reveals her powers have returned and updates him on her life, including putting her own ambitions on hold to care for her parents. Mark admits he’s not okay, acknowledging the looming threat of the Viltrumites and how powerless they may be against them. At the GDA, Cecil and his team experiment with a wormhole device, which quickly spirals out of control. A creature emerges, nearly killing personnel before Donald shuts the system down. The failed experiment leaves them with no way to retrieve Monster Girl and Robot, adding another unresolved crisis. Back on Talescria, Allen faces intense pressure from the Coalition of Planets. They demand answers about the missing Viltrumites and question his leadership. He stands firm, but the doubt surrounding him is clear. Mark confides in William and Rick, but his mental state continues to deteriorate. Hallucinations and emotional strain make it clear he hasn’t processed the trauma he’s endured. Debbie, still frustrated, vents to Paul about Oliver being left behind. Paul challenges her perspective, reminding her that this chaotic world is part of her life whether she accepts it or not. Later, Mark and Eve share a quiet moment that turns devastating. Eve reveals she was pregnant and chose to have an abortion while he was gone. The scene is raw and emotional, with both of them grappling with guilt, love, and the reality of their lives. It’s one of the episode’s most grounded and human moments. Nolan, reflecting on his past, speaks with Cecil about Earth’s vulnerability. Even with a warning system in place, the delay in response time makes it ineffective. Nolan offers to stay and protect Earth, but Cecil rejects the idea, unwilling to trust him. Their exchange underscores the lingering consequences of Nolan’s past actions. Mark’s emotional spiral continues as he struggles with Eve’s revelation and the larger threat looming over them. Eve encourages him to accept the risks that come with their lives, reinforcing that her choices are her own. Their relationship stabilizes slightly, but the tension remains. Debbie ultimately decides to leave with Nolan to be with Oliver, a decision that surprises everyone. Despite her anger, her need to be there for her son outweighs everything else. Their departure leaves Mark in an unfamiliar silence, emphasizing how much has changed. Cecil attempts to bring Mark in for a debrief, but Mark’s PTSD becomes impossible to ignore. Hallucinations of Thragg escalate into a full panic attack, forcing Cecil to acknowledge that Mark needs real help. Trying to cope, Mark takes Eve’s advice and goes flying, searching for clarity. Instead, he encounters Thragg for real. What follows is not a battle, but a negotiation that changes everything. Thragg reveals there are only 37 Viltrumites left, but that’s still more than enough to destroy Earth. He proposes a truce: the Viltrumites will live secretly among humans and rebuild their population. In exchange, Earth will be spared. If Mark refuses, billions will die. Faced with impossible stakes, Mark initially resists but ultimately agrees. It’s a devastating choice, driven by fear and responsibility. Thragg declares Mark their savior before leaving, cementing the uneasy agreement. Back on Talescria, Allen receives a final message from Thaedus revealing a hidden contingency: the Scourge virus, a perfected weapon designed to wipe out every Viltrumite. The moral dilemma deepens as Allen now holds the power to commit genocide in the name of safety. The finale ends on a powerful note, raising massive ethical questions. Mark’s decision allows the Viltrumites to rebuild in secret, while Allen holds a weapon that could eliminate them entirely. Neither path is clean, and both come with enormous consequences. This episode delivers a strong ending that leans heavily into emotional stakes and long-term conflict rather than nonstop action. While some may have expected more fighting on Earth, the quieter, more psychological approach works in its favor. The season closes with tension, uncertainty, and a long list of questions that make the wait for next season even harder. I’m giving this episode 5 out of 5 stars.
- ‘Michael’ Review: Jaafar Jackson Delivers a Performance That Feels Almost Unreal
If you were born too late to witness the glove, the moonwalk, or the pure electricity of the Bad tour in person, Antoine Fuqua just handed you a golden ticket. Screening Michael early felt less like sitting in a dark theater and more like being transported directly to the front row of a stadium tour. It’s an immersive, loud, and unapologetic celebration of a man who was less of a human and more of a global phenomenon. Jaafar Jackson Isn’t Just Acting; He’s Channeling Let’s get the big question out of the way: Can Michael’s own nephew actually pull this off? The answer is a resounding yes. Jaafar Jackson doesn’t just mimic the choreography; he embodies every twitch, every soft-spoken syllable, and every high-octane spin as if Michael himself were guiding his movements from the wings. It’s an uncanny performance that anchors the entire film. But while Jaafar is the undisputed star, we have to give immediate flowers to Juliano Valdi as Young Michael. Capturing the precocious, soulful energy of a kid who was essentially the breadwinner for his entire family is no small feat, and Valdi handles the Jackson 5 era with a charisma that makes the heart ache. Courtesy of Lionsgate A Family Dynamic That Will Give You Chills The casting department deserves a raise for the parental units. Nia Long brings a necessary, grounding warmth as Katherine Jackson, but Colman Domingo steals every scene he’s in as the family patriarch, Joe Jackson. To put it bluntly: Colman was terrifying. He portrays Joe’s iron-fisted "discipline" with a coldness that explains exactly why Michael sought refuge in a world of fantasy. The narrative leans heavily into Michael’s struggle to overcome this immense family pressure. This is a story about a man fighting to become his own person despite being a literal product of his father's ambition. However, even at nearly three hours, it feels like we barely scratched the surface of MJ’s internal world. What’s Missing from the Neverland Gates? While the film is a triumph for fans, it isn’t without its "what if" moments. Because the focus is so laser-targeted on Michael’s personal evolution, the rest of the Jackson siblings feel more like background singers than fully realized characters. The most glaring omission, however, is the absence of Diana Ross. Given her massive influence on Michael’s life and aesthetic, her exclusion leaves a noticeable gap. Whether it was a matter of people not wanting to be involved or a creative choice to keep the runtime down, those missing perspectives would have added a lovely layer to the story. It’s enough to make you realize that one movie isn't enough, a second part is definitely needed to cover the complexities that were left on the cutting room floor. The TV Cave Verdict Michael is a high-gloss, high-energy tribute that demands to be seen on the biggest screen possible. It successfully humanizes a legend while keeping the magic of his stage presence intact. If you’ve ever hummed a bassline to Billie Jean, this is required viewing. Once you see the movie we need to know: did the film live up to your expectations, or are you holding out for a "Part Two" that dives deeper into the 90s era? Head over to the comments and let us know if Jaafar won you over.
- TV Casting Bombshells: Margulies Joins Paradise, Buck Hosts ESPN Jeopardy!
If you thought your streaming queue was finally under control, I have some unfortunate news for your social life. The television gods have been busy, and the latest casting reshuffle proves that Hollywood is still playing a very expensive game of musical chairs. From high-stakes espionage to the inevitable expansion of the Yellowstone universe, here is the latest intel from the TV Cave on who is moving into your living room this season. Julianna Margulies Enters the Wasteland Julianna Margulies has officially signed on for Season 3 of Hulu’s Paradise. While details on her recurring role are currently under lock and key, we know she joins a world that literally just imploded. Season 2 wrapped with Xavier (Sterling K. Brown) and Teri (Enuka Okuma) barely escaping their bunker before it turned into a very expensive crater. With Julianne Nicholson’s Sinatra out of the picture, there is a massive power vacuum in the ruins of Colorado. Joe Buck Takes on "ESPN Jeopardy!" In news that will surely delight sports fans and confuse everyone else, Monday Night Football’s Joe Buck is the new host of ESPN Jeopardy!. Disney+ and Hulu are calling this the "ultimate matchup" between sports trivia and the legendary quiz format. We just hope Buck realizes he can't give a play-by-play of a contestant’s internal struggle while they try to remember who won the 1974 Heptagonal Championships. The prize pool is a cool $500,000, so expect the competition to be significantly more intense than a preseason game. The Yellowstone Expansion Continues (Obviously) Because Taylor Sheridan seemingly never sleeps, the Yellowstone spin-off Dutton Ranch is ready to gallop onto Paramount+ on May 15. The latest addition to the frontier is country singer Morgan Wade, who joins the cast as Carol, a bartender who "sees all." It’s a classic trope: the person pouring the whiskey knows where all the bodies are buried. Given the Dutton track record, she’s going to need a lot of whiskey and even more secrets. Espionage and Gritty Dramas: The Best of the Rest Apple TV is looking to corner the market on "shows that make you look over your shoulder" with Safe Houses. Inspired by Dan Fesperman’s novel, the series has tapped David Lyons and Tobias Menzies to star alongside Jennifer Connelly and Ana de Armas. Menzies is set to play Connelly’s husband, while Lyons takes on the role of a CIA special ops agent. It’s prestige TV at its most paranoid, and we are here for it. Meanwhile, over at FX, The Lowdown has added Austin Amelio (The Walking Dead) to a Season 2 roster that already includes heavy hitters like Tommy Lee Jones and Betty Gilpin. And for those who prefer their drama with a side of Southern gothic, Hulu’s Southern Bastards pilot just added Jonathan Tucker and Ethan Suplee. The Recap Whether you’re looking for a sports-trivia fix or a deep dive into ranching society, the upcoming TV slate is packed with enough star power to keep the lights on through 2026. There’s no shortage of "did they really cast them?" moments to discuss. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below or head over to The TV Cave socials for more deep dives into your favorite series.

- Will Trent Season 4 Episode 16 Recap: Will is Reeling After a Game-Changing Death
Too Much to Handle Too much to handle. Will is on his knees next to Amanda’s body outside a hotel, gently holding and rocking her while refusing to let anyone near her. Angie approaches and quietly places her hand on his shoulder, telling him they have to let the technicians do their job. He finally agrees and gently lays Amanda down, standing nearby, completely lost, as the CSI team works the scene. Faith, Ormewood, Franklin, and Will can hardly believe Amanda is gone. She lies lifeless on the sidewalk outside a fancy hotel, her injuries clearly visible. When the technicians finish, Will tells them he will take care of the part that makes everything real. He slowly zips the body bag over her face, and together, Will, Angie, Faith, Ormewood, and Franklin carefully lift her onto the gurney. They escort Amanda to the ambulance, with Captain Heller following behind. As Will helps the paramedics load her in, the recitation of the 23rd Psalm brings tears to everyone present. Angie, Faith, Ormewood, Franklin, and Captain Heller stand beside Will as the ambulance drives away. The Will Trent graphic that follows is somber and perfectly placed. This is difficult to watch, let alone write about. Amanda Wagner was a pivotal character who had already endured so much, including a near-death experience earlier in the series. Viewers believed she was on the road to recovery, which makes her sudden death even more shocking and heartbreaking. The next day at GBI headquarters, Faith and Will arrive together, weighed down by grief. They say nothing, but their silence speaks volumes. The entire office stands in quiet observance of their loss. Faith is surprised to see her mother, Evelyn, in the squad room and immediately runs into her arms. Will approaches Caroline, who is barely holding it together, and asks for help accessing Amanda’s calendar, computer, and files from the days leading up to her death. Caroline agrees, though she quickly breaks down. As Will offers his handkerchief, she notices Deputy Director Appleyard approaching. Will immediately confronts him, loudly warning him not to step into Amanda’s office. He accuses Appleyard of having no shame, insisting Amanda knew he wanted her job and couldn’t wait for this moment. Appleyard appears shaken but explains he came to offer condolences, stating that despite their differences, he always respected Amanda. He adds that Evelyn Mitchell has information that may help the investigation. Faith and Evelyn approach as Evelyn calls Will by his full name, “Wilbur Trent,” pulling him back just enough to listen. Amanda’s Murder Investigation Begins In Will’s office, Evelyn reveals that Amanda had been secretly working with an FBI contact and was investigating Adelaide Trevens. Faith is stunned that Amanda kept this from them, but Evelyn explains Amanda intended to share once she had solid information. It becomes clear Amanda likely uncovered something that got her killed. Caroline arrives with Amanda’s emails and personal files from the past two weeks, already digitized for Will’s AI assistant. She also asks what to do with Amanda’s car, still sitting in her assigned parking spot. Will suggests Amanda may have been operating undercover and asks Caroline to check whether she signed out an unmarked vehicle. Faith then calls from the crime scene with new information: a witness saw a man in his 40s or 50s dump something near the hotel curb from a silver sedan. They are running a partial plate. Will immediately asks about the bartender from the night before, Josh Hassen, and instructs APD to issue a BOLO while stationing officers at his home. Will and Faith track Amanda’s unmarked vehicle to Garth’s Carpet Cleaners. Inside the car, they note details that reflect Amanda’s habits, reinforcing that she had been surveilling someone. Ormewood and Franklin arrive as backup, acknowledging the danger posed by Adelaide’s network. Will, still inside the car, spots something unusual in the mirror: an open warehouse door. They investigate and find Amanda’s glasses on the ground beside blood. As Will picks them up, his mind reconstructs the scene in vivid detail. He quietly confirms this is where the attack happened. Inside the warehouse, they discover signs of recent activity, food, trash, and a makeshift sleeping area with handcuffs attached to a pipe. Evidence suggests Antonio had been held there. A nearby cooler with fresh groceries indicates they narrowly missed the suspects. A gunshot outside sends them running. Will catches a fleeing man and, overcome with rage, violently interrogates him about Antonio’s whereabouts. The man claims Antonio will be dead soon, pushing Will further out of control until Faith and the others restrain him. The morgue scene is both difficult and powerful. Pete, clearly shaken, explains to Evelyn that Amanda was attacked by two people and suffered five stab wounds to the chest, collapsing both lungs. She died quickly, but not before collecting crucial DNA evidence, including part of a fingertip from her attacker. Pete was able to identify it. After Pete leaves, Evelyn shares a quiet, emotional moment with Amanda, promising it is time for them to take care of her. She tearfully calls it their “last dance” before walking out. (Disney/) LISAGAY HAMILTON New Clues Bring Them Closer Faith confronts Will about his actions, pointing out that their only suspect, the bartender is now hospitalized and unable to speak because of him. Will barely registers her anger, still consumed by grief. Ormewood steps in, redirecting them toward their next move. Franklin arrives with a lead: the groceries found at the warehouse were purchased using an employee discount, suggesting one of Adelaide’s acolytes works at the store. Will refocuses, and the team splits up to follow leads. Faith and Franklin locate another suspect’s home, where they find the silver sedan described by the witness. Blood beneath the trunk leads them to a grim discovery—a murdered schoolteacher inside. Meanwhile, Will and Ormewood head to the grocery store. Ormewood tries to ground Will, reminding him that Amanda meant something to all of them and urging him to focus on what he does best. Will listens. When gunfire erupts inside the store, chaos ensues. A shooter chases an employee, and Will tackles the fleeing man while Ormewood takes down the shooter. The situation raises new questions: why is someone trying to kill this employee, and what does he know? Back at GBI, Will interrogates the employee, drawing a parallel between Amanda and Adelaide as mentors. He manipulates the man into revealing information, arguing that Adelaide is eliminating acolytes she no longer needs. The intel leads to a wider crackdown on her network. A standout moment follows when Franklin prevents another suspect from harming himself, noticing a critical detail others missed. Combined with further interrogation, the team uncovers another key piece of the puzzle. A Strong Conclusion and Tribute Faith calls her son Jeremy, asking him to come home after telling him about Amanda’s death. Angie updates Will on the growing case against Adelaide, as financial tracking begins to reveal her movements. Franklin brings in additional intel, and the team pieces together why Adelaide has remained in the area and who is enabling her. The episode raises major questions: what did Amanda uncover on her calendar, what crucial information does Franklin provide, and which imprisoned character returns? What does Adelaide offer Will, and can he save Antonio and Faith? This is an exceptional episode filled with emotional weight, humor, and gripping tension. The characters rally around one another, offering support while relentlessly pursuing answers. Just when it seems Will might find closure, something pulls him back, often driven by his complicated connection to Adelaide. Everything in this episode works in sync, the writing, acting, direction, and production come together seamlessly. It is easily the strongest episode of the season, balancing heartbreak with moments of levity. The tribute to Amanda Wagner is especially powerful. Through Captain Heller, Evelyn Mitchell, and Faith, we see the profound impact she had on everyone around her. Faith’s reflection on Amanda’s simple philosophy—“Bad people don’t get to win”—perfectly captures her legacy. Although Will does not attend the formal tribute with the others, including Betty and Nico, his grief is deeply felt. The return of familiar faces like Evelyn, Jeremy, and JT adds another emotional layer, making the farewell even more meaningful. This episode earns a full 5 out of 5 stars. Sonja Sohn’s portrayal of Amanda Wagner leaves a lasting impression, and her presence will be greatly missed.
