Disney+‘s Rivals   is back and Season 2 has been upgraded. Starring Nafessa Williams, David Tennant (our favorite Doctor), Danny Dyer and Aidan Turner, the second season is currently filming and now will feature 12 episodes, in contrast to season 1 which only had 8 episodes. We are here for it as Rivals was one of our favorite shows last season. Give us all the UK TV drama. Disney+ agrees as the show was one of the most successful for the House of Mouse.  Rivals is based on the Jilly Cooper book of the same name and season 2 will follow the second half of the book. So you may have some idea of what is about to go down if you read the book but NO SPOILERS! Returning for season 2 - everyone from season 1. Our girl Nafessa Williams along with Katherine Parkinson, Bella Maclean, Alex Hassell, Danny Dyer, Aidan Turner and of course David Tennant (Barty Crouch, Jr.). Season 1 saw Nafessa’s character, Cameron, in an affair with her boss Tony (David Tennant) as she battled sexism and racism in the UK while running a television studio. Things did not end well for her and Tony so we are eager to see how she manages in season 2.   Speaking about the additional episode order, Jilly Cooper stated, “It was magical working with Happy Prince and Disney+ on the first season and seeing everyone fall head over heels for my beloved characters.” Series executive producers Alexander Lamb and Dominic Treadwell-Collins also had something to say,  “We are so excited to be returning to Rutshire for an extended stay of twelve episodes for season two of Rivals . It’s very special  to have the same team return in front of and behind the cameras and we cannot wait to share more of Jilly’s world with our audience”. Disney could not have picked a better time to add more episodes as the BAFTAs are right around the corner and Rivals has a chance to take home six awards.  Good Luck! Deadline was first to report. It’s a new game of musical chairs as the hunt for Lena continues. Let's get into Found Missing While A Family. [SPOILERS] Tapping into what Sir desires most, the episode opens with Gabi at the hospital under the illusion that Lena made her sick. After Dhan provides substantial proof that she is ill, Sir agrees to help them. Noone is allowed to hurt his Gabrielle. Not even his sister. Sir insists that he must be released to apprehend Lena. Using his FBI contact who he has a history with, Dhan is able to facilitate the request. Lena has an unhealthy need to please when it comes to Sir. It’s a tragic triangle that makes you wonder if these bonds will ever unravel. Gabi continues to be haunted by Sir and she can’t set free from him, no matter how much good she does. Atonement keeps slipping through her fingertips. Just like Lena, who was able to escape after meeting with Sir. I was not expecting a secret passageway into the hotel room that allowed her to enter without being seen. Mixed emotions play out as everyone navigates how to interact with each other after so many years. From afar, Margaret looks on as her reunited family reminisce  over pictures and reconnect. Making amends for not being the best mother and her daughters understanding why, finally closed the chapter of estrangement between them. However, emotions are still high between Margaret and her husband, especially when he realizes Jamie has been back for days and is staying at a hotel. It’s apparent they will need more time to rebuild their trust in each other. The case of the week is a missing family from a Jewish Modern Orthodox congregation. Daniel, a friend from Lacey’s law school, asked them for help. With no evidence of a struggle in the home, it appeared the family was taken as they walked to the temple. After gathering clues and doing interviews, it was surmised the wrong family was targeted and kidnapped. The robber/kidnapper said he couldn’t tell them apart and just wanted the money. This was a well-woven episode which opens conversations about antisemitism and the importance of seeing each other with humanity. In search of atonement, Gabi speaks with the Rabbi for guidance. She needs to break free from the haunting of her sins that looms over her and the ones she loves. He tells her, ”for you to atone, you must decide to never do it again and confess out loud for all to hear you.” Is that the key for salvation? Furious that Sir betrayed her again, Lena goes after what Gabi holds dear, a member of the M&A team - Jamie! What will Lena do? How will Margaret feel when she finds out Jamie is missing? She just got him back. Tune-in next week for the season finale. Found airs on Thursday night, Stream next day on Peacock.

The Elsbeth Season Finale features guest stars including Stephen Moyer (Alex Modarian), Retta  (Margo Clark), Gina Gershon (Vanessa Holmes), Elizabeth Lail (Quinn Powers), Arian Moayed (Joe Dillon), André De Shields (Matteo Hart), Alyssa Milano (Pupetta Del Ponte), Mary-Louise Parker (Freya Frostad), and Ethan Slater (Officer Chandler). The last episode shows Elsbeth getting transferred to a new corrections center, Midtown Detention Center. She enters gingerly, trying to keep a low profile.That didn’t last long. She passed one villain, Joe Dillon, she helped incarcerate. The guard, Rocco, moved her along, and she met another villain from her past, creepy Alex Modarian, her first. Was the guard doing this intentionally? Hope Elsbeth gets that speedy trial soon! They finally get to the women’s wing, and there are more villains from her past, Vanessa Holmes and Freya Frostad, more murderers. Elsbeth was meeting villainous prisoners from her past at every turn. Now she sees Margo Clarke. It’s funny how they all remember her. They finally get to Elsbeth’s cell, and thankfully she’s the only occupant. She’s next to Pupetta Del Ponte, who’s cooking a nice meal but won’t talk to Elsbeth. Modarian/Stanislavski comes by the cell with books and other contraband. Elsbeth is shocked he’s walking around semi-free. He says he is a prison trustee with privileges. He also does plays for the prison community. He invites Elsbeth to their next rehearsal and she agrees, since she can’t resist the theatre. Elsbeth meets the prison warden, Mrs. Martin/Momma. She whispers to Elsbeth to come to her if she has any trouble. At the rehearsal, Elsbeth gets a surprise. The play rehearsal and actors were a little awkward, and one of the characters was modeled after her. Quinn Powers was dressed in a similar Elsbeth signature large colorful hat and was carrying multiple bags. She even sounded like Elsbeth. Elsbeth complained about the scene, but was quickly shut down. Matteo Hart, another villain from Elsbeth’s past, was the costume designer. Modarian comes back to ask her opinion on the play. She tells him the other actors don’t respect him. He says it’s because he gets to their truth, and they hate that. He says he was the most hated person there, until Elsbeth arrived.  In Captain Wagner’s Office, Detective Blanke is upset that Elsbeth is being held indefinitely at the detention center. Captain Wagner says Judge Dousant is taking Judge Crawford’s death out on Elsbeth. That and her record in Chicago is what he is using to justify this. Detective Blanke makes some suggestions, but Captain Wagner says no to all. She’s worried she’ll leave for her new assignment before Elsbeth is released. Captain Wagner says he’ll  talk to the judge. Lieutenant Connor says it might appear inappropriate. Wagner says he can be persuasive. Elsbeth tries to keep herself busy in her cell. She asks Rocco to take her to the library. He says he’s in trouble with the warden because she caught him watching cat videos on his phone. Elsbeth tells him who she works for, and he’s impressed. He’s a big fan of Captain Wagner and  takes her to the library. They get there and find Modarian dead. They lock down the detention center. Elsbeth begins investigating. The warden gets there and tells Elsbeth to leave. Elsbeth comes to the warden’s office and the warden is upset. She says the library, kitchen and laundry have no security cameras. She tells Elsbeth an outside investigative team that handles the investigation. Elsbeth mentions the inmates have a lot of freedom. The warden says it’s because their inmates are pampered elites and they get more freedom to stop them from complaining. Elsbeth sees the warden also carries several totes, a kindred spirit. She comments on that, and gets no response. She asks when she can have visitors and is told not for at least a week since she’s new. Captain Wagner meets Judge Dousant at a tailor shop. He pleads his case for Elsbeth based on the many murder cases she solved. Dousant made it clear he’s holding Elsbeth responsible for Crawford’s death. Wagner leaves.All cells are being investigated at the detention center, as requested by the investigators. Elsbeth waits until they are done. She continues investigating. She subtly questions Quinn outside. Quinn says she didn’t murder Modarian, and Margo is her alibi. Elsbeth interrogates her, too. She tells Elsbeth Modarian was a slime ball, but she didn’t kill him. Margo actually couldn’t confirm Quinn’s alibi because she wasn’t in ‘the yard’ consistently. Elsbeth continued her investigation with Joe. She almost drank his toilet wine. Joe also revealed Modarian had a racket going where he controlled large sums of cash exchanges.  Continuing her investigation, Elsbeth talked to other inmates. Freya says it had to be someone who moved around freely, and she pointed at Rocco. Del Ponte tells her a weapon could be made out of anything, even ramen. Elsbeth tells the warden about the ramen weapon theory. Elsbeth has a “Musical Tango” dream. It was a cool lively theatre rendition that walks through Elsbeth’s clues being sung by all the villains. She’s awakened by Rocco. Teddy comes to see Captain Wagner, and tells him, Lieutenant Connor and Detective Blanke that Crawford wasn’t the original judge assigned to the Mertens case. He checked the public records and saw Judge Dusant was the original judge, but recused himself. Wagner tells Teddy he’d make a good detective. Detective Blanke says they need to find out Dusant’s connection to Crawford and the Mertens case. Connor calls in Officer Chandler to help. Chandler’s ready.Elsbeth asks the warden about Vinnie Del Ponte’s secret tunnel in the detention center. The warden says it was a myth. She asks about Modarian thinking he was going to be transferred to a better facility. Warden thought it could be a good motive, and tells Elsbeth to find out more. Later, Elsbeth shows Du Ponte a book her Uncle Vinnie wrote a message in, and Del Ponte identifies his little hearts. That’s all the clues Elsbeth needed.Captain Wagner and Officer Chandler go see Judge Dusant and are able to get him to release Elsbeth. Meanwhile, Elsbeth discovers a new clue that helped her solve the mystery. The warden has a meeting with everyone. Elsbeth points out she solved the murder case, and accuses the warden of murdering Alex Modarian. Everyone wants to hear, so Elsbeth does an entertaining re-enactment of the crime to explain how the warden committed the murder. It had to do with Chef Veev and some ramen. Veev made an expert knife out of ramen.The warden took it away when found, and killed Chef Veev with it. The warden says there was a question of how she got from one wing to another so fast. Elsbeth reveals Uncle Vinnie’s hidden tunnel. It did exist. Rocco arrested the warden. The warden asks why Alex’s murder mattered. Elsbeth says truth always matters. Without it, we’re lost. Rocco takes the warden away.Del Ponte is angry with Elsbeth because she took away their freedom, and now their supplier. Elsbeth says the warden was taking their money and jacking up their prices. She  gets no thanks from the inmates.The station gives Detective Blanke a farewell party. All the other revolving door of detectives, Samantha Edwards, Bobby Smullen and Buzz Fleming, tell her they learned some things from Kaya, and wish her luck. Her easygoing attitude, extensive knowledge about all things in New York and her natural attention to detail, persistence and charm will be missed. Officer Chandler and Captain Wagner get Elsbeth out, and she happily appears. They share a joyful group hug. Kaya tells Elsbeth a tearful goodbye, and suggests a way to not miss her too much. Cameron gives a speech and lets Kaya say a final farewell to her colleagues and friends. She defers to Elsbeth instead. Elsbeth gives a short moving speech and says Kaya may return someday. They wish her luck on her new mission and also everyone there who is staying for theirs. They toast Kaya. This episode was a fitting way to end the season. It was fun to see the season’s villains again. Placing Elsbeth in an environment she never expected to experience was more intriguing! The writing, acting and the entire Elsbeth Team is sensational! The season finale ended with a wonderful theatre musical, sadness at a colleague’s departure, and a hint of something new in the coming season. There were no signature multiple bags, quirky colorful coats and hats for Elsbeth tonight, but there was a very colorful handmade vest. Thank you for this superb season and comfort show Elsbeth Team!

When I am right, I am right. I have been saying for weeks that Simone and Lucas were on their way to a break up and that newcomer Trevor Jackson would get in the way and here we are… Let's dive into Grey's Anatomy Love You Like a Love Song. Simone and Lucas spent the whole episode filled with tension and not the good type of tension. Lucas had been nasty to Simone but using his patient as the reason and Simone pointed out (when they finally had the talk we all knew was coming) that Lucas always gets a pass for his unchecked behavior, he’s a Shepard that comes with privileges basically. Lucas was like nah, we’re done and broke up with Simone who was at the bar and approached by the new guy, and things get handsy and there is a lot of kissing. Dang, poor Lucas. I’m still rooting for y'all though. Meanwhile, Teddy and Owen are back from Hawaii (didn’t even realize they left) and they seem happy until Nora comes back all sick like and is dying. When Teddy comes to her room she finds Owen embracing Nora (who admitted a scene prior that she was in love with Owen). What seems like Owen just giving this dying woman some comfort, from Teddy’s view things look quite intimate.  HARRY SHUM JR., KIM RAVER, FLORIANA LIMA (Disney/Anne Marie Fox) Jules and Winston - well, I am not sure how they are. Clearly there are feelings there and I just want them to be explored. Hot new couple alert! Richard will be in the way however. Is he really looking out for Winston or his daughter Maggie? Jo and Link get married in a sweet ceremony with only Link’s mother getting in the way as mother in laws often do. It was a light hearted drama that did no real damage. I am happy to see these two characters get hitched without any messiness between them. However, this is Grey’s and drama is sure to be around the corner. Levi coming back was just an added bonus.  So, Teddy and Owen are ok-ish and Jules and Winston are stale, Jo and Link are in bliss and Lucas and Simone broke up. What's next on couples bingo? What is 9-1-1 ’s actual problem this season? Do they hate us? Are they purposely trying to ruin our emotions week after week? They must be, because what else explains opening 9-1-1 Season 8 Episode 17 with even more flashbacks of Bobby Nash? Knowing full well all we want is for Cap to come back—and yet, they twist the knife. Again. A flashback to happier times with Bobby’s comforting presence cuts straight to Buck sitting all alone at the station’s dining table—the same one where the 118 family used to gather and devour Bobby’s famous home-cooked meals. Absolutely diabolical. Side note: I’ve always  wanted to try one of Bobby’s signature dishes. Remember that episode when Athena was cooking for the firehouse, turned her back for one second, and Bobby swooped in to add more seasoning? Classic Bobby. Simpler, happier times. Hen as Captain? Chimney and Athena Tension? Hen is offered the position of the new captain and, honestly, she’s got the whole team's support. But she doesn’t want it—and it’s not hard to understand why. Hen thrives in the field, connecting with patients and saving lives, then going home to be a present mom and loving wife. Leadership? Not on her vision board right now. JENNA Z. ALVAREZ, AISHA HINDS, OLIVER STARK, KENNETH CHOI (Disney/Christopher Willard) Meanwhile, Chimney is still deep in guilt mode over Bobby’s death. Maddie’s doing her best to be his rock, but he’s more focused on supporting Athena. Unfortunately, Athena Grant is not  having it. She’s grieving Bobby in her own way and right now, Chimney is just… a co-worker. Nothing more. Yikes. It hurts because you know it’s not fair—but grief rarely is. Can they recover from this distance? Buck and Eddie Drama (Again), and Ravi With the Plot Twist Eddie hasn’t left yet, even though he has a job offer waiting. Why? Because he’s not ready to leave Buck. ( Insert everyone screaming into a pillow here. ) Buck, looking for something— anything —asks the universe for a sign. And of course, in true 9-1-1  fashion, he gets one. An earthquake. Subtle. Then Ravi shows up, casually drops the Eddie job bomb, and Buck is instantly in his feelings. Cue another Buck and Eddie fight. (Wash, rinse, repeat.) But Eddie’s right—he lost Bobby too. This pain doesn’t belong to Buck alone. Still… is Eddie really going to Texas or is this just emotional whiplash? ANIRUDH PISHARODY (Disney/Christopher Willard) Athena's Cliffhanger & the Return of a Meme Icon Just when you think Athena Grant’s been through enough, she’s out here helping that guy —you know, the one who used to yell at people for not returning shopping carts? Him. He heads into a building and—boom—it collapses. Cliffhanger. Because 9-1-1  said “you’re not allowed to breathe until the next episode.” Final Thoughts 9-1-1 Season 8 Episode 17 is packed with emotional gut punches, from the Bobby flashbacks to the strained relationships and the looming questions about the team’s future. Where do Buck and Eddie go from here? Will Hen reconsider the captain’s role? And what’s next for Athena? Let’s discuss. What did you  think of the episode? Reality Star Exit: What Lateasha ‘Sweet Tea’ Lunceford’s Departure Means for Married to Medicine Bravo’s Married to Medicine  just lost one of its most talked-about stars: Lateasha "Sweet Tea" Lunceford. Her sudden departure announcement was not on our bingo cards for today and has left us with questions about what really happened.  Lateasha Lunceford, better known to viewers as "Sweet Tea," made her debut in Season 10 of Married to Medicine  as the new wife of Dr. Gregory Lunceford, an Atlanta-based psychiatrist and former husband of longtime cast member Quad Webb. Their relationship, from a social media meet-cute to a whirlwind wedding quickly became one of the show’s most captivating storylines. Why? Mainly because fans wanted to see her interact with Quad and the messiness that would follow.  Known for her bold personality, sharp tongue, interesting fashion choices and feuds with a few of the other ladies other than Quad (aka Heavenly), Sweet Tea definitely had the fans talking. Whether you loved her or hated her, her openness about her IVF journey and health battles, including her experience with endometriosis gave a bit of realism to the reality show. Sweet Tea's decision to leave Married to Medicine  wasn’t entirely unexpected if we are being honest but she did have a lot to say about her departure on her Instagram account stating, “ And I was just going to say… I really wanted to leave it to my fans to figure out what was going on because know that I’m not a quitter.”  This statement hints that her departure was not her decision. She also stated that there are better things in store for her and we hope that is true.  Now that Sweet Tea is gone, what does that mean for seasons going forward? Will the ladies leave in harmony? Technically all the fighting should stop right? This Ghosts  season finale brought back some favorite characters from earlier in the season to wrap things up in true Woodstone fashion. We saw the return of Patience and Elias, and yes, that  thing finally happened with Pete and Alberta. Let’s dive into the Ghosts  season finale episode, “The Devil Went Down to Woodstone.” It’s time for the big launch of Isaac and Sam’s new book — about Isaac, except he’s a vampire. Honestly, I love this whole Young Adult book subplot. If they actually publish this in real life, I’m buying it. Anyway, Sam manages to change the location of the book party to the restaurant so Isaac can attend. But the fanfare doesn’t go unnoticed — Patience rises from the dirt sensing something sinister. Spoiler alert: it's Hetty’s no-good ex-husband Elias posing as Jay’s publicist. Patience threatens to shut down the party using her ghostly ability to make walls bleed (yes, really). Sam lies and says that would cancel the event, convincing Patience to instead go back to the house to fight evil there. Trevor and Sass tag along and try to recruit Hetty and Alberta to help. But when Patience wants to head back to the barn, Hetty blurts out that Alberta’s been having impure  dreams about Pete — something Alberta told her in confidence. Yikes. Patience offers to “help” Alberta rid herself of those feelings via public shaming (yes, full-on Game of Thrones  style) with the entire ghost squad watching. Alberta opens up and finally admits her feelings for Pete, unaware he’s been eavesdropping. After she finishes, Pete sneaks out, and Nancy reports he fled the property. Meanwhile, Bela casually drops to Kyle on the phone that the party is still happening. Patience, furious, storms into the barn mid-reading and makes the walls bleed. But thanks to Jay, everyone thinks it’s part of the show. Defeated, Patience backs off. The book launch is a hit, and Jay even lands an article in a high-end food magazine — all thanks to Elias. Except… plot twist! The ghosts reveal that Jay unknowingly sold his soul when he signed Elias’s contract. So yeah, we have a huge  problem. In the final moments of this Ghosts  season finale, Pete returns and tells Alberta he left to break up with Donna. Then, we finally get the moment shippers have been waiting for — Pete and Alberta kiss! It only took two seasons, but I am so here for it. Pictured (L-R): Matt Walsh as Elias Woodstone. This Ghosts  season finale delivered everything: romance, chaos, and just the right amount of spooky. I can’t wait to see what happens when the show returns. The episode starts with Ruzek leaving his dad’s nursing home. He’s clearly still carrying the weight of that visit when, out of nowhere, a man stumbles into the road. Ruzek hits the brakes and jumps out, it’s Frank Bailey. The guy looks out of it, dazed, like he doesn’t even know where he is. Ruzek tries talking to him, but Frank bolts, heading toward a nearby bridge. Frank goes over the bridge and Ruxek tries to pull him up but he slips and falls down onto the ice.  t Ruzek tries slowly to get to him. When he does, Frank is gone. When he checks him for identification Ruzek sees it, he’s bleeding. Badly. Ruzek is at a loss and then the ice starts to crack. Ruzek just barely makes it to safety, but Frank goes through the ice. Ruzek calls it in to try and get the body recovered.  Back at the district, Ruzek updates Voight, Burgess, and Torres. They ID Frank, 36, lives in Logan Square, married with two kids. He worked at the same firm for years. No priors. Nothing weird in his financials or on his phone. His wife, Evelyn, is in shock. She tells Burgess Frank wasn’t the type to be out partying, he was a family guy, loved his kids, never gave her a reason to doubt him. The team finds his car abandoned near a rundown building registered to some LLC. They head inside and the scene is clearly a rave party upstairs, but downstairs trash everywhere, blood on the floor, rooms with stained mattresses and missing sheets. Clearly not just a party.  Later at the district it’s Burgess who spots the truth in the security footage, young girls, too young, high, barely able to stand. Some are being carried. Frank walks in at 10:02 p.m. and never comes out. Digging deeper, they find a DM in Frank’s inbox with the party location and an entry code. It came from Steve Bartlett, a former coworker. Steve’s already in holding. When they press him, he admits Frank asked him for the number that gets you into these parties, the number men pass around to buy girls. Steve claims he never used it, but eventually gives it up. It’s saved under “Sean.” The burner number is still active and pings at a second location in Wicker Park, another building tied to a shadowy LLC. Voight gets a warrant. Inside, they find terrified girls and Anton, who’s carrying cash and a burner phone. Voight leans hard, and Anton finally breaks. He gives them Dmitri Salton’s name. Dmitri’s got a history,domestic abuse, no paper trail, but they track him to the finances behind the parties. He recruits girls with no family or support, locks them down, and sells them. They don’t get paid. They don’t leave. He controls everything. Anton gives up Dmitri’s car and burner. It isn’t long before they catch a hit on I-90. Ruzek’s the first to spot the truck at a rest stop. He moves in, and Dmitri tries to climb into the trunk. Cops swarm, weapons drawn, and they arrest him. Ruzek confirms he’s okay, but the moment clearly hits him hard. Later, at the district, Ruzek talks to Demetri and wants to know why he stabbed Frank. Ruzek is invested and he promised the widow he would tell her what he found. Demetri is honest and says Frank was choking one of the girls. He heard her gasping for air, so he stabbed him to get him off of her. Ruzek and Kim discussed not letting the widow know, but in the end Tuxek thought it was best to tell her the truth. Just in case there was a trail he didn’t want her blind sided again.  After speaking to the widow, Ruzek returns to talk to his dad. The Florida bank account comes up again. His dad doesn’t remember much, just starts talking about blackjack strategy, hit on 11, double on 10, that kind of thing. Then it clicks. This wasn’t a gambling thing. Years ago, his dad took out the money for Adam and Mac, to help them. Quietly, and without ever saying it, he’d been trying to do right by them all along. Ruzek takes it in, looks at him, and just says, “Thank you.” The episode ends with a deep breath of truth. Frank’s story gets told. The girls are finally safe. And a son realizes his father was fighting for him in his own way the whole time.

Hulu's Reasonable Doubt  is likely already on your must-watch list. The gripping legal drama has officially confirmed its return for Season 3, currently filming in Atlanta and the news gets even better as fan-favorite Morris Chestnut is back in a recurring role, along with six fresh faces joining the cast. Morris Chestnut reprises his role as Corey Cash in Season 3 of Reasonable Doubt . Corey, a sharp, media-savvy defense attorney, made a strong impression in Season 2 with his strategic mind and moral gray areas. While Chestnut’s role is recurring rather than main cast, (he is so busy leading CBS’ Watson  right now, which was renewed for a second season) sources say Corey’s storyline will intersect significantly with lead character Jax Stewart’s cases.  Also joining Season 3 in recurring roles are Keith Arthur Bolden ( as Sal), Kyle Bary ( as Ozzie ), Richard Brooks ( as Eddie ), April Parker Jones ( as Rosie), Brandee Evans ( as Monica ) and Rumer Willis ( as Wendy ) according to Deadline.   Joseph Sikora joins as a series regular.  Since its debut, Reasonable Doubt  gets its flowers for its complex portrayal of Black professionals navigating the elite legal world of Los Angeles. Emayatzy Corinealdi leads the cast as Jax Stewart, a fierce attorney whose personal life is often as chaotic as the cases she handles. The show, executive produced by Scandal ’s Kerry Washington, continues to gain praise for its storytelling and bold approach to real-world issues. Season 3 is being filmed in Atlanta and is expected to wrap production by July 2025. This episode of Chicago Fire Cut Me Open digs deep and stays with you. It starts with Severide and Kidd getting a call about Jade Taylor, a 19-year-old who’s gone into labor and made the incredibly tough decision to place her baby for adoption. She’s scared, emotional, and trying to hold it together. Stella Kidd and Kelly Severide, who Jade personally chose to adopt her baby, arrive at Med just in time. They’re flustered, too. They thought they had more time. No baby gear, no nursery set up, but they’re committed. You can tell they’re in it with their whole hearts. At the firehouse the team sets out to make sure once Stella and Severide come home with the baby they will have everything that they need. Just had they hatch a plan things get complicated.  Dr. Asher checks on Jade and notices the baby’s heart rate is dipping with each contraction. Nothing too alarming, but definitely something to watch. They help reposition her to improve blood flow. Then comes the harder part, Jade starts showing symptoms of opioid withdrawal. She hadn’t told anyone, but now it’s clear. Dr. Asher sits Stella and Kelly down and explains the reality: the baby will likely test positive, and withdrawal symptoms in newborns can be intense, seizures, feeding problems, irritability. Long-term effects aren’t off the table either. But Stella and Kelly don’t blink. They say they’re ready. No hesitation. No fear. Just love. Back at Firehouse 51, it’s audit day. Ambrose Sterling, an efficiency evaluator for the city, shows up unannounced. He’s there to assess whether 51 is running at the level that justifies keeping it open. The tension is immediate. Herrmann clocks him right away. Sterling has no firehouse experience, but he’s walking around like he owns the place, questioning everything from their call structure to the way they train. Herrmann tries to be civil but loses patience when Sterling criticizes their use of backup plans. Herrmann tells him point-blank, this is a job where having a second plan isn’t inefficient, it’s necessary. With Pascal out all of this is on Hermann and it’s stressful.  Meanwhile, Cruz decides to take matters into his own hands for Stella and Kelly. Cruz and Hermann reach out to Cindy for suggestions. Cindy drops by the firehouse to let her husband Herman know she went on a local Buy Nothing group and posts a request for baby supplies. It catches fire, people start dropping off everything from strollers to baby clothes to diapers. It’s one of those quiet moments where the heart of 51 really shines. Everyone rallies around them, not with big speeches, just through small acts of kindness. . Back at Med, Jade suddenly cries out in pain. Her water’s broken, but something’s wrong. Dr. Asher realizes she has a uterine rupture, a tear that requires emergency surgery. Jade is rushed to the OR and put under. Just before they take her in, she asks for her dad, who’s just arrived after two years of silence. He can’t go in, but Stella holds her hand through it all. The surgery was successful. Baby Victor is born, eight pounds, six ounces, strong and healthy. Dr. Asher tells Kelly that Jade’s stable. It’s a moment of relief after everything. Stella and Kelly finally meet the baby they were ready to bring home. They’re glowing, scared, tired, but deeply happy. The team has assembled almost everything that Kidd and Severide could need, but a car seat. The team has the auditors there and they know they just can’t take the rig out to get the present without him saying something. They decide to say they are going to refuel. Sterling tags along with 51 on a supply run and they manipulate the situation slightly to refuel and get a car seat. The task works, but once back at the firehouse Sterling ends up collapsing from heat stress, the crew reacts immediately. Cooling him down, getting him safe. For once, he stops analyzing and starts understanding. It’s the first time he sees what 51 actually is. Not a spreadsheet. A family. And just when everything feels like it’s finally clicking into place, a nurse pulls Stella and Kelly aside. Jade has changed her mind. She’s decided not to go through with the adoption. Her dad has agreed to take temporary guardianship while she enters rehab. Stella is blindsided. She asks to see Jade, not to change her mind, just to check on her, but it’s too late. Hospital policy says no further contact is allowed. The crew back at 51 hears the news through Damon. Ritter, and Herrmann start quietly packing up all the donated baby items. There’s no anger. Just a silent kind of heartbreak. They put everything into storage. Maybe it’ll be needed one day. Later, Stella learns that Jade asked to see her son one last time. She just wanted a moment. But once she held him, everything shifted. The feelings she’d buried came flooding back. Her father didn’t talk her into it like Stella originally thought, he just supported her. And something Stella had shared earlier stuck with her. It gave her hope. Before they leave the hospital, Asher hands Stella a small note from Jade. It reads, “thank you for holding my hand.” And Stella, full of love and loss, says quietly, “I hope she gets the life she dreamed of. “ There’s no fire, no dramatic rescue, no big finale. Just people doing their best in an impossible moment. And in the quiet of it all, Chicago Fire reminds us that sometimes the bravest thing you can do is let go with grace.

This episode of Chicago Med  starts with things already off balance. Dr. Ripley’s the first to notice the shift, nurses are calling out sick left and right, and something feels off. Maggie is scrambling to make the floor run without them, and Dr. Asher’s called out too. At first, it seems like Maggie might be under the weather, and she let’s them know she is leaving. Turns out, the nurses aren’t sick, they’re staging a coordinated sick-out to pressure the hospital into meeting their demands. Not long after, a young boy is rushed in, struggling to breathe. Dr. Frost takes the lead, realizing it’s maybe severe peanut allergy. The parents left his EpiPen at home, so it’s a close call. Ripley jumps in to help. Together, they manage to stabilize the boy, but the lack of nurses makes it clear how dangerously thin when the rest of the birthday party comes on with blue lips just as Dr. Frost patients stretched thin and Dr. Charles steps in to help because of the short staffing and they realize that the kids are reacting to each others symptoms and there is just blue dye around their mouth. Crisis averted.  Then Mr. Marquez is brought in, he’s been crushed under a quarter-ton of pallets and is showing signs of a collapsed lung. He’s also slipping into brief runs of V-tach. Lenox and Max try to stabilize him, but they’re overloaded. Sharon puts on scrubs herself and gets involved, trying to bring in floating nurses just to keep things moving. It’s survival mode. Upstairs, Dr. Lennox is confused by Marquez’s condition and calls in Dr. Hayes for a consult. Hayes gives his opinion and then, not-so-subtly, invites Lennox to assist him in the surgery. He flirts, suggests they rehearse on a test dummy, and drops that he’s planned a romantic dinner for them at a medical conference in Myrtle Beach. Lennox plays it cool, but it’s obvious Hayes is blurring professional lines. During the practice surgery, their chemistry is thick,almost distracting, and they quietly agree to table their feelings until they’re away from work. What they don’t realize is that Naomi sees them leaving the OR together. She’s clearly uncomfortable. Later, Lennox confronts Naomi for backing out of the surgery. Naomi finally opens up and tells her what happened. After a previous transplant case, Hayes asked her to stay behind to “go over techniques,” but instead, he crossed a line, stood too close, guided her hands too intimately, and then pressed himself against her. Naomi froze. When she pulled away, Hayes tried to play it off like nothing happened. She tells Dr. Lenox  as well, begging her not to report it. She’s terrified it’ll ruin her residency. It’s raw and painful, and it throws Lennox’s recent dynamic with Hayes into an entirely different light and she is upset with herself for falling for his charms.  Meanwhile, Dr. Charles is working with a patient named Frederick Lambert, who’s come in with leg numbness and back pain. When his partner arrives, it’s Margaret. Charles’ mother. And Frederick? Her fiancé. Charles is floored. He doesn’t trust Frederick, and it shows. He starts pressing Margaret for answers, about Frederick’s background, his intentions, but she brushes him off. She says she’s slowing down, and Frederick makes her laugh. Back in the ER, Sharon turns the corner of a nearby deli and sees the entire group of “sick” nurses hanging out. Maggie’s with them. Sharon pulls her aside and warns her, if the board finds out they’re not actually sick, it could mean termination or worse. Maggie doesn’t deny it, but she stands by her team. Charles, still wary, keeps pushing at Frederick, accusing him of taking advantage of Margaret. Then it all comes out. Charles admits that he is hurt she never approved of his late wife Cece’s relationship with him because she was black and Margaret fires back, that he is being cruel. “Is this payback”? she asks. It’s an emotional mess, then Frederick crashes. They discover the real cause: a rare infection that entered through a chemical peel and made its way to his spine. Thankfully, Charles had already ordered the MRI, and they caught it just in time. Frederick will recover. Later, he reflects on his vanity, and Charles softens. He quotes Henry V : “Self-love is nowhere near as vile a sin as self-neglect.” It’s the first genuine connection they’ve had all day. Meanwhile, Dr. Archer call to send Joanna Richards for imaging turns out to be critical—they catch an aggressive osteosarcoma just in time. One small victory. The hospital finally returns to the table with a new offer: a 5% raise, one more nurse seat on the care committee, and, for the first time, a full-time nurse on the advisory board. Maggie hears it and knows it’s not perfect, but it’s something. Sharon tosses in free cafeteria meals for nurses. That gets smiles. Dignity matters. Jonathan apologizes to Maggie for how he treated her earlier in the season. He admits she knew him too well, and that scared him. They make peace. And just when the episode feels like it might finally close on progress, Dr. Charles and Dr. Ripley go to tell Margaret that Frederick’s going to be okay. They find her sitting quietly. Charles reaches down to wake her, and doesn’t feel a pulse. Dr. Charles is calm, but panic is in his eyes. They call for a crash cart to revive her. The episode ends with them working to resuscitate Margret.  This episode ends with a lot of questions to be answered. Will Lenox report Hayes, did Margaret survive? Will the nurses be punished? One thing that happened that was great is that all of the nurses returned to work and we don’t have to gave another shift short staffed. Hopefully the finale will answer some open questions from this season.
