Last week on Beyond The Gates, Tomas got suspicious, Anita’s hand was forced, Nicole and Kat had a Galentine’s dinner, and Leslie spent Valentine’s Day alone and disappointed. Let’s talk about it. Valentine’s Day Valentine’s Day arrived in Fairmont Crest, and while our favorite couple Vernita didn’t go all-out, they still gave us romance in their own lane. Vernon showed up with saltwater taffy and roses, sticking to their tradition, and Anita returned the energy by serenading him in a genuinely sweet scene.. Vanessa and Joey flirted with binds and blindfolds, and all I could think about was how he had eliminated his competition—her husband—by killing him. Romantic… if you liked your Valentine’s Day with a side of murder. Izaiah and Eva met at Orphey’s. Leslie was there and immediately started critiquing what she believed was Izaiah’s lack of thought, money, and flair. Eva said she wanted  Orphey’s, and Leslie left with an eye roll like she was allergic to anyone else’s joy. Izaiah gave Eva a necklace—ugly, yes—but it fit her aesthetic. The Walls Were Closing In The walls started closing in on Hayley’s plan. Lynette got closer and started making demands. Tomas grew suspicious, and Bill enlisted Joey to help find her attacker. Later, phone calls started coming in—because Anastasia had been spreading rumors that Anita had been drinking. So now, to protect her reputation, Anita has to go public with her diagnosis. And I hated that for her, because it was one thing to share your truth on your own terms… it was another to be shoved into it because a bored woman needed gossip to feel alive. Deep Cover Jacob went deeper undercover this week—so deep he moved out. And while I was glad the story finally had movement , they also dropped a few anvils like, “Hey viewers! Remember this detail later!” So… yeah. I hoped Jacob survived. Closing Thoughts It was a bit of filler, and sweeps has been pretty mild, but it was still a good week. Next week looks good too. They really missed the opportunity by not making Samantha and Tyrell twins. Also, having Donnell be her date? I can see the drama forming with her catching feelings and him being too old. Also wasn’t she said to be 15? So how was she even participating with seniors?  The undercover story was getting good. I am still waiting to see what happened—especially since they’ve been telling  us about the danger more than showing  it—but if they committed, this could finally turn into the kind of arc we had been asking for.

Friday's episode of General Hospital presented a unique and Wonderful tribute to one of their most memorable characters, Luke Spencer. Today some  characters of Port Charles share their memorable experiences. It begins when Lulu, Luke and Laura's daughter, finds a picture of her father. It triggers feelings of sadness. She didn't get a chance to say a final goodbye to her father because she was in a coma.  Her flashbacks are heartwarming memories of him. Laura, Tracy, Carly, Sonny, Elizabeth and Lucy all had memorable moments with Luke Spencer, and are shown throughout this episode. They run the gamut from comedic to traumatic, with joyful happy times sprinkled throughout. It made for Great Soapy Soap Moments. Each actor was able to add their personal experience with Anthony Geary. I loved how GH seamlessly integrated the flashback scenes into  the  current soap characters’ present days. That was impressive.  A moment that really struck me was Laura's/Genie Francis' bittersweet farewell message to Luke Spencer/Anthony Geary. It brought tears. Also, loved the adventure scenes of Luke and Robert Scorpio.  This episode was a wonderful memorial to honor Anthony Geary, an actor who made such an impact on viewers, his fellow actors, and the world. GH Iconic Luke Memories  Luke and Laura's Big Romance and Family Lucy and Tracy's tumultuous marriages to Luke. Lucy's impromptu wedding was hilarious. Luke's proposal to Tracy was sincerely touching. Carly's Uncle Luke trying to steer her clear of Sonny. Her Mom, Bobbie Spencer, was Luke's sister and had her hands full with her daughter. Luke Spencer and Robert Scorpio Adventures Elizabeth's friendship with Lucky's Dad was sweet.  Sonny and Luke were enemies that became lifelong friends. Sonny's last scene with Luke is a real farewell for Luke Spencer and Anthony Geary. If you thought the audition rounds of Next Level Chef were stressful, Episode 4, "The Draft; Taco Party," just proved that the real kitchen nightmares have only just begun. We’ve finally moved past the "getting to know you" phase and into the "I will literally trip you for a better cut of steak" phase. With the teams officially drafted, the stakes have shifted from individual survival to team warfare and let’s just say some generals are leading much more disciplined armies than others. The Draft: Picking Teams (and Favorites) Before the flour started flying, Gordon Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais finally put their pens to paper. The draft is always a fascinating look into the mentors' psyches: Ramsay wants the disciplined technicians, Nyesha hunts for the soul and the "warrior spirit," and Blais... well, Blais usually just wants someone who knows how to use liquid nitrogen without blowing a finger off. Once the rosters were set, the chefs were thrown straight into a Taco Party. But this isn't your local "Taco Tuesday" where the biggest risk is too much cilantro. In the Next Level Chef kitchen, the "party" involved elevated, three-bite masterpieces that had to impress three of the most discerning palates in the industry. The Platform Claims Its First Victim The highlight (or lowlight, depending on how much of a sadist you are) of the main challenge was Emerson Bartolome. In a moment that will surely haunt his dreams and the show's highlight reels for years, Emerson missed the platform. As the shelves ascended, his beautifully plated dish stayed behind, eventually meeting the floor in a tragic heap of broken dreams and wasted protein. While Emerson was mourning his floor-tacos, Christian Alquiza of Team Blais was busy operating on a different plane of existence. His gochujang pork tacos on a cactus tortilla were a masterclass in fusion, proving that Blais might have actually drafted a ringer. The win secured safety for the entirety of Team Blais, leaving Ramsay and Nyesha to feed their weakest links to the wolves. The Mole Showdown: Who Went Home? The elimination round brought us a classic "Battle of the Moles." Nyesha sent down the platform-fumbling Emerson, while Gordon nominated Mareya Ibrahim-Jones, whose initial tacos were, frankly, forgettable. Shocker: this season in the head to head elimination challenge, the platform will NOT be staying. Emerson, who admitted he had never even cooked a mole before, managed to find his rhythm. He delivered a chicken leg with a sauce that actually had depth. Mareya, on the other hand, fell into the classic trap: overcompensating with heat. Her pork loin was dry and the spice level was enough to make the judges reach for the nearest gallon of milk. Ultimately, Mareya Ibrahim-Jones was the first to be sent packing this season. It’s a tough exit for Team Ramsay, but a necessary wake-up call for everyone else: in this kitchen, your reputation is only as good as your last 30 minutes. Returning favorites include Melanie Paxson as the Fairy Godmother, Brandy as Cinderella, Paolo Montalban as King Charming, and Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts. The expanding ensemble introduces new characters, adding fresh energy to the already sprawling fairy tale universe. With Kimmy Gatewood directing and choreography from Emmy Award winner Emilio Dosal, the film appears ready to deliver the elaborate musical numbers that have become synonymous with the franchise.
