Soap Spoilers Sept. 28–Oct. 2: Sonny Is Crushed, Nick Needs Saving, and Hayley Keeps Choosing Mess

October is already trying to make an entrance, and daytime is not easing anybody into it. Across The Young and the Restless, General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, and Beyond the Gates, secrets are getting harder to hide, families are being pushed to their limits, and several characters are about to learn that one decision can make everything significantly worse.

On The Young and the Restless, Nick becomes the center of a growing crisis while Victoria and Kyle continue tempting fate. General Hospital appears to be setting Sonny up for an especially painful week, while Dante starts putting pieces together. Salem has risky plans, accusations, and one suspiciously eventful baby shower on Days of Our Lives. And over on Beyond the Gates, Hayley remains committed to keeping Fairmont messy while Bill drops decisions that leave his family reeling.

The Young and the Restless

Victor Newman starts the week doing what Victor Newman does best: issuing orders. He gives Matt Clark his marching instructions on Monday while Victoria and Kyle continue trying to keep their affair hidden. Phyllis and Cane, meanwhile, manage to find some unexpected common ground, which in Genoa City can either be a promising development or the beginning of another problem.

By Tuesday, Victor shifts his attention to Nikki with a grand gesture, but family trouble is never far behind. Christine offers Daniel some guidance while Jack supports Nick, and that support may prove necessary as the week progresses.

Wednesday makes it clear that Nick’s situation has become serious enough for Victor and Nikki to make a difficult decision in an effort to protect him. Victoria and Kyle are still keeping up appearances around Claire, which feels like one of those situations that can only stay contained for so long. Esther also takes time to offer Sharon some words of wisdom.

Victor gathers the troops Thursday for a meeting of the minds centered around helping Nick, but Nick has ideas of his own and decides to take matters into his own hands. Lily also confides in Nate as the week’s personal and family tensions continue building. By Friday, Kyle sees a new side of Victoria, Chelsea and Audra somehow manage to call a truce, and Adam and Sally reach an understanding. A Chelsea-and-Audra truce? We will believe that peace treaty when it survives longer than one commercial break.

General Hospital

Port Charles kicks off the week with several emotionally loaded conversations. Valentin opens up to Anna on Monday while Lucas puts Carly on the spot. Charlotte tries to sway Lulu, Sonny makes Gio an offer, and Rocco is forced to give Danny some bad news.

The pressure only increases Tuesday. Britt makes a bold declaration while Jason is there for Danny, and Dante finally gets confirmation about something he has been suspicious of. Jordan confides in Michael, while Monet begins courting a new client. With Dante eventually confronting Sonny later in the week, that confirmed suspicion could end up carrying some serious weight.

Wednesday brings one of those wonderfully vague General Hospital spoilers that immediately raises eyebrows: Ava and Drew are horrified. Sonny also questions Jason, Ric attempts some damage control, Curtis leaves Jordan baffled with a surprising claim, and Michael reassures Molly. Whatever Ava and Drew encounter, clearly nobody involved is having a casual afternoon.

Things come to a head Thursday when Dante confronts Sonny. Willow pulls some strings elsewhere in Port Charles, Lulu seeks out Tracy, Scout and Danny clash, and Michael counsels Brook Lynn. Then comes Friday, and the simple tease that Sonny is “crushed” does not exactly inspire confidence that this confrontation ends happily. Trina and Josslyn find some common ground, Jordan receives life-changing news, Gio surprises Emma, and Chase shuts Brook Lynn down. Between Sonny’s heartbreak and Jordan’s major development, Friday looks like it could leave several storylines in very different places heading into the following week.

Days of Our Lives

Salem begins Monday with Theo opening up to Paulina about his worries, while Joy’s plans hit an unexpected obstacle. Xander promises Sarah he will step up, but perhaps the biggest warning sign comes when Marlena pleads with Steve to stay quiet.

And we all know how well “please keep this secret” usually works in Salem. Tuesday finds Cat bringing Rafe into her risky plan as Johnny tries to make things right. Chanel presents Gabi with a proposal, Xander faces off with EJ, and Philip joins Leo in putting a plan together.

On Wednesday, Tate crosses paths with Mason while Eli encourages Lani to consider what comes next for her. Leo hosts Lani and Holly on his podcast, Kate confronts Philip over his gambling habits, and Holly continues struggling with guilt.

The secrecy surrounding Marlena grows more complicated Thursday when Brady promises to protect her secret and Steve brings a new theory to Belle. At the same time, Melinda publicly levels an accusation against Sarah, Philip comes clean with

Maggie, and Joy takes a dangerous risk.

Friday brings what sounds like one of the more unpredictable events of the week when Chanel is caught off guard by a baby shower, only for the guests themselves to apparently receive an even bigger shock. Julie offers Marlena some needed encouragement, Sydney makes an unforeseen mistake, Johnny opens up to Rafe, and EJ confides in Rita. Whatever happens at this baby shower, something tells us cupcakes are not going to be the thing Salem is talking about afterward.

Beyond the Gates

Fairmont begins the week with Hayley apparently waking up and choosing mess yet again. She has another trick up her sleeve Monday while Bill gets sideswiped and Nicole puts her foot in her mouth. Kat turns to Izaiah in a moment of crisis, Shanice and Ashley deal with career challenges, and Smitty starts worrying that Jacob may be dodging him.

By Tuesday, Dani is leaning on Nicole for support while Andre leaves Vernon stunned. Anita becomes an unexpected advocate, but the real fireworks come when Chelsea and Hayley clash. At this point, Hayley collecting enemies might qualify as a full-time job. Leslie also receives an intriguing invitation that somehow leads to an altercation, because apparently Fairmont was not dramatic enough already.

Wednesday brings major fallout for Bill when a decision he makes leaves his family stunned. Nicole is furious with Joey, Leslie attempts to ingratiate herself with Hayley, and Andre supports Vanessa through a traumatic ordeal. Jacob and Naomi also step in to give Chelsea a reality check.

On Thursday, Dani tries to bolster Bill as Chelsea redirects some of her frustration toward Madison. Martin’s reelection campaign lands in jeopardy, and Jacob’s evidence encounters resistance from his own family. Hayley also faces off with Caroline, while Kat and Tomas discover that nothing brings people together quite like having the same enemy.

The week closes Friday with Anita’s homecoming party forcing Ted and Nicole to navigate their new normal alongside Shanice and Kial. Vernon receives information that immediately puts him on alert, while Bill finally comes clean to Elon. Andre has some harsh words for Dani, Heather finds herself in a very favorable position, and Joey begins plotting to protect Vanessa.

So yes, Beyond the Gates is ending the week exactly how it began: with multiple people scheming, stressing, or preparing for the next explosion. Business as usual.

What’s Ahead in Daytime

Nick’s growing troubles look poised to dominate The Young and the Restless, especially with Victor and Nikki stepping in while Nick decides he may be better off handling things himself. Over on General Hospital, all eyes are on Sonny as Dante’s suspicions turn into a confrontation and the week ends with Sonny devastated.

Salem’s secrets continue spreading on Days of Our Lives, with Marlena’s situation pulling more people into the fold and

Friday’s baby shower promising something unexpected. Meanwhile, Beyond the Gates keeps the pressure firmly on Bill, Chelsea, Hayley, and several other Fairmont residents whose lives seem determined to intersect in the messiest ways possible.

Daytime clearly has no intention of entering October quietly. We would expect nothing less.
