‘MobLand’ Renewed for Season 3 Ahead of Season 2 Premiere

The Harrigans haven’t even returned for their second round of family drama, bloodshed and power struggles, but Paramount+ is already making sure they’ll be back for more.

Paramount+ has officially renewed MobLand for a third season ahead of the crime drama’s Season 2 premiere on Friday, September 18. Even better for fans, the Harrigan family’s biggest players aren’t going anywhere. Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren are all set to return for Season 3.

Hardy will reprise his role as Harry Da Souza, the Harrigan family’s fiercely loyal fixer, while Brosnan and Mirren will return as crime family patriarch and matriarch Conrad and Maeve Harrigan. Renewing MobLand before its sophomore season even arrives is quite the show of confidence from Paramount+, particularly as the streamer prepares to send the Harrigans into an even more dangerous battle for control.

The Harrigans Have Bigger Problems in ‘MobLand’ Season 2

Before we start worrying about what Season 3 has in store, the Harrigans still have to survive Season 2.

The new season finds the family attempting to present a united front while their criminal empire begins showing some serious cracks. Rising rivals are threatening their power, while tensions inside the family make Harry’s already complicated job even more dangerous.

As those tensions escalate, violence begins reaching every part of their lives. Loyalties are tested, alliances become increasingly fragile, and nobody should probably get too comfortable.

Along with Hardy, Brosnan and Mirren, Season 2 stars Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Teddie Allen, Emmett J. Scanlan, Johnny Flynn, Ophelia Lovibond, Janet McTeer and Toby Jones.

MobLand is commissioned by Paramount+ and produced in association with Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios. Executive producers include David C. Glasser, Guy Ritchie, Jez Butterworth, Tom Hardy, Ivan Atkinson, Dean Baker, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari and Keith Cox.

Season 2 will consist of 10 episodes, with new installments streaming weekly on Fridays beginning September 18. The season finale is scheduled for Friday, November 20.

The entire first season is currently available to stream on Paramount+. So, apparently, Paramount+ has already decided the Harrigans are surviving long enough to cause problems for at least one more season. We’ll have to wait and see exactly who makes it there.
