Pack the swimsuits and get those text alerts ready because Peacock isn't closing the Villa anytime soon. Love Island USA has officially been renewed for Season 9 following another massive summer for the reality dating franchise.
The new season is set to arrive in summer 2027 with a fresh group of Islanders heading to Fiji in search of romance, a little screen time and possibly that $100,000 prize. Ariana Madix will also return as host, putting to rest any questions about whether she would be back after another season overseeing the recouplings, Bombshell arrivals and inevitable heartbreak.
Considering just how big Love Island USA has become for Peacock, this renewal isn't exactly the biggest shock of the summer.
‘Love Island USA’ Had Another Huge Summer
Season 8 premiered June 2 and quickly became one of the biggest shows in streaming. According to Peacock, the season has accumulated more than 19 billion minutes viewed since its premiere and became the No. 1 streaming title of summer 2026 to date.
The series also held the title of No. 1 streaming reality show for six consecutive weeks, further cementing Love Island USA as more than just a successful reality series for Peacock. At this point, it has become one of the streamer's signature summer shows, with new episodes dominating social media conversation as viewers debate couples, pick favorites and wait for the next Bombshell to ruin somebody's perfectly good week.
Season 8 ultimately ended with Trinity Celeste Tatum and Bryce Alakai Dettloff being crowned the winners and splitting the $100,000 prize. Their time in the Love Island universe isn't quite finished yet, either, as the cast is preparing to reunite for one more round of conversations about everything that happened inside and since leaving the Villa.
Ariana Madix Is Coming Back for Season 9
Madix will officially return to host Season 9 after taking over Love Island USA beginning with Season 6. Her tenure has coincided with a major growth period for the series, and her work on the show earned her an Emmy nomination this year.
Before she welcomes the next group of Islanders in 2027, Madix has some unfinished business with Season 8. She will join Andy Cohen to host the upcoming reunion, bringing the cast back together to revisit the relationships, breakups and lingering questions from the season.
The Love Island USA Season 8 reunion premieres Monday, August 31 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Peacock.
Peacock Is Going All In on ‘Love Island’
The main series isn't the only part of the franchise sticking around. Peacock has also confirmed that Love Island Games will return for Season 3 in fall 2027, with Madix once again serving as host.
Meanwhile, Love Island: Beyond the Villa has been renewed for a third season and will also return in 2027. The spinoff follows former Islanders after their time on the dating series, trading the controlled environment of the Villa for what happens when relationships, friendships and newfound fame collide in the real world.
Put it all together and Peacock is making its intentions pretty clear: Love Island isn't going anywhere. After a season that generated billions of viewing minutes and kept viewers talking throughout the summer, renewing the flagship series feels like the easy part. The bigger question is whether Season 9 can keep the franchise's hot streak going when another group of Islanders gets that first text next summer.
Love Island USA Season 9 premieres in summer 2027 on Peacock.
