Hulu Renews ‘Furious’ for Season 2 Ahead of Season 1 Finale

Serious woman in an FBI jacket stands in a dim room, with blurred green and warm lights behind her.

Hulu is not waiting around to see how the first season wraps up. The streamer has officially renewed Furious for a second season, giving fans more of the crime thriller starring Emmy Rossum before Season 1 even reaches its finale.

The Season 2 renewal arrives ahead of the August 31 Season 1 finale, making it clear that Hulu sees more story left to tell with the series. For viewers who have been following the twists and turns of the first season, that is very good news.

Rossum stars as FBI agent Alice Black, who finds herself pulled deeper into a dangerous investigation that continues to blur the lines between the people she is pursuing and the people she can trust. As the first season has unfolded, Alice has faced increasingly complicated circumstances while trying to stay one step ahead.

With Season 1 still coming to a close, Hulu has not revealed exactly what the second season will bring. That means fans will have to watch the finale to see where the story leaves Alice and the rest of the characters before we can start putting together theories about what comes next.

The early renewal is also a vote of confidence for the series. Rather than waiting until after the Season 1 finale to make a decision, Hulu has already committed to another chapter, giving the creative team an opportunity to continue developing the story and its characters.

For fans of crime dramas and mystery-driven series, the Season 2 news means there is no need to start preparing for the end just yet. Whatever happens during the Season 1 finale, Furious will have another season to explore the fallout.

Of course, the biggest question now is what Hulu has planned for Season 2. The streamer has not announced a premiere

date or revealed the episode count for the upcoming season. More casting and story details are expected as production moves forward.

For now, fans can catch the Season 1 finale of Furious on August 31 on Hulu. And with Season 2 officially happening, that finale could leave viewers with even more questions about what comes next for Alice Black.

One thing is already settled: Furious isn't finished yet.
