The show's new fall preview reveals that someone will come forward with a claim on Phoebe, potentially putting Brook Lynn and Chase's newly formed family in jeopardy. The tease comes just as Brook Lynn's other secrets are beginning to catch up with her, and GH has already spent weeks dropping clues that another man may know much more about Phoebe than he's letting on.

Brook Lynn's role in the accident involving Jordan has finally begun to unravel. After keeping quiet about being the other driver, Brook Lynn admitted the truth when confronted by Trina and Chase. Chase didn't take the revelation well, leaving his wife as their marriage suddenly faced another major crisis.

According to General Hospital co-head writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten, the fallout isn't going to end there. Brook Lynn's secret will also affect her already complicated relationship with Gio, while Tracy becomes involved in legal negotiations on her granddaughter's behalf.

Most importantly, the writers teased that Brook Lynn and Chase will reach a turning point and that the situation could leave their family vulnerable when someone comes forward with a claim on Phoebe. That's a pretty ominous warning considering what GH has already shown us.

Hudson Has Been Asking a Lot of Questions About Phoebe

Hudson's interest in Phoebe has hardly been subtle.

After arriving in Port Charles, Hudson began asking questions about the baby and her birth mother, Delilah. He deliberately used an early meeting with Josslyn as an opportunity to run into Brook Lynn and Phoebe, casually fishing for information about Delilah during their conversation.

His curiosity only increased after Josslyn explained Phoebe's adoption. Hudson learned that the baby's supposed father had agreed to a closed adoption, and the information clearly didn't sit right with him. Rather than returning to Australia as Josslyn instructed, Hudson insisted on remaining in Port Charles.

GH has also already exposed another important piece of the puzzle: Ethan wasn't telling Hudson the truth about Phoebe.

Ethan previously claimed to be Phoebe's biological father, allowing Brook Lynn and Chase to move forward with the adoption. But viewers later learned that Ethan lied to Hudson about Delilah's baby, keeping the mystery surrounding Phoebe's actual paternity alive.

Is Hudson Actually Phoebe's Biological Father?

Hudson's repeated interest in Delilah, his reaction to learning the circumstances surrounding Phoebe's adoption and his decision to remain in Port Charles all suggest that he has a personal connection to the situation. If Hudson already suspects that Phoebe is his daughter, Ethan's deception could explain why he hasn't simply announced himself as her father.

There's also another possibility: Hudson may know who Phoebe's biological father really is without being the father himself. Whatever the connection turns out to be, his arrival increasingly feels tied to Delilah and the baby rather than simply Josslyn and JJE.

If Hudson is the person coming forward, GH has spent weeks quietly setting up the reveal. If it isn't Hudson, the mystery becomes even bigger because someone else connected to Delilah and Phoebe is apparently headed for Port Charles.

Either way, the show's fall preview makes one thing clear: Brook Lynn and Chase's fight to become Phoebe's parents may have been only the beginning.
