B&B Recap September 3: Katie Declares War on Dylan After Meeting Her Mother

Bikini Bar: Katie Meets Darcy

At Bikini Bar, Darcy wants to know why Dylan never told her that she was dating Will Spencer. Darcy is a huge fan of Katie and clearly knows plenty about the Spencer family. Katie, meanwhile, wants to know why Dylan has been so secretive about her life.

And KATIE comes prepared to expose almost ALL of Dylan’s greatest hits: She lived in her car. She lived with Will while he was still dating Electra. And those are just the highlights!

Darcy is genuinely hurt that Missy (Dylan) never told her how much she was struggling. She thought they were close. Darcy explains that Missy grew up learning how to make ends meet, but when she turned 18, she wanted to be independent and make her own way in the world.

Katie assures her that Missy clearly landed on her feet. Not only does she work at Bikini Bar, but she also works at Forrester Creations. Dylan insists she can explain everything, but Katie has heard enough for now. She tells Darcy to enjoy catching up with her daughter and wishes her a nice visit to Los Angeles.

Then Katie makes a quick exit. I just wonder where KATIE is heading? Dylan is left staring after her and states the obvious: “This was a disaster.” And honestly? She’s not wrong!

Bill Gives Will Some Fatherly Advice

Meanwhile, Bill stops by to check on Will and tells him that he's absolutely killing it but he misses seeing his son. Bill reminds Will that he needs him at his best if they want to bury Forrester Creations, and that includes taking down the competition with the Electra jewelry line.

Bill is also happy to see Will moving on with Dylan. He admits he never liked the way Electra would leave Will and then come running back whenever it suited her. According to Bill, Will is too young to spend his life focused on one woman.

He does, however, admit that he likes Dylan. But there’s still one little problem: Katie. Will says they’ll just have to see if Dylan can pass the “Mom Test.” Bill tells him Katie’s biggest problem is that she doesn't know anything about Dylan. Meeting Darcy will change that.

And boy… will it ever.

Forrester Creations: A New Fashion Line Is Born

Over at the Forrester executive office, RJ and Electra prepare to pitch their new fashion line to Eric, Ridge, and Brooke. Brooke immediately compares the moment to when Hope launched Hope for the Future, pointing out how exciting it is to watch a young designer create something of her own.

RJ and Eric highlight the benefits of having a youth-focused line under the Forrester umbrella. Ridge and Eric ultimately give the line their approval, but Ridge has one major warning: KEEP IT SECRET. Because if Logan finds out about the new line, Ridge believes they’ll do everything possible to destroy it.

Katie Makes Her Way to the Beach House

Surprisingly 😅, Katie makes it to the Beach House, where Bill and Will are waiting to hear how her meeting with Darcy went. Katie admits it didn't go quite the way she expected.

Bill immediately wants the details. So… what did Katie think of Dylan's mother? Katie keeps it simple: She’s fine.

Bill, clearly knowing there is MUCH more to the story, leaves to get back to the office and tells Katie he wants a full breakdown later. Before he leaves, Bill kisses Will goodbye and calls him “Willy Bear.”

SIDENOTE: 🥹 GREAT THROWBACK! Katie used to call Will “Willy Bear,” so it was a really nice little callback from the writers.

Dylan Tries to Explain Herself

Back with her mother, Dylan does a piss-poor job trying to explain why she kept Darcy in the dark. Dylan says things were really dark for her before Will took her in and gave her a place to stay.

Darcy remembers all the Spencer magazines they used to read together and points out how nice it is to see that her daughter is now working at Forrester Creations. But Dylan knows the bigger problem isn't her job. It's Katie.

Dylan admits that she royally screwed up with Katie and decides she needs to go do some serious damage control.

RJ and Electra Celebrate Their Big Break

RJ and Electra are thrilled about their upcoming fashion line inspired by Electra Forrester. For RJ, this is a huge opportunity. For Electra, it's a chance to prove herself. But with Ridge already warning them to keep the line secret, it feels like this new dream could become another Forrester family battleground before the first collection even hits the runway.

Katie Drops a Bombshell on Will

Katie tells Will what she has been saying for weeks now: Dylan is NOT right for him. Will immediately pushes back, telling his mother that she was never going to give Dylan or Darcy, a fair chance in the first place.

Katie doesn't back down. She says she had good reason. Then she drops a bombshell: Katie reveals that Dylan hasn't told her mother anything. Not about dating Will. Not about all the drama between them. Will is genuinely shocked because suddenly, he realizes Dylan has been keeping an enormous part of her life hidden from her family.

Beach House Showdown: Katie vs. Dylan

Just when things couldn't get more uncomfortable, Dylan arrives at the Beach House. She has one mission: smooth things over with Katie. Good luck with that! Katie wastes no time letting Dylan know exactly where she stands: She doesn't trust her. And as far as Katie is concerned, Dylan will never be good enough for Will. Katie Spencer has officially declared Dylan the enemy and Will is caught right in the middle. Classic B&B!!!
