B&B Recap Septemer 2: Darcy Dylan Arrives as Electra Learns the Truth About Will

Dylan arrives at Will’s beach house and immediately finds him shirtless. Naturally, she can’t help but notice. When she asks if he went for an afternoon swim, the conversation quickly turns much more serious. Dylan admits she had an awkward conversation with Electra and she knows Electra has figured out that she and Will have taken their relationship to the next level.

Will wants to know why Dylan would say anything to Electra. Dylan explains that she didn’t have to. “Electra looked at her and simply knew.”

SIDENOTE: If I hadn’t watched yesterday’s episode, I might think Dylan was making this up. But Electra literally looked at Dylan and knew she was sleeping with the love of her life. The woman has apparently developed forensic-level ex-boyfriend detection.

Dylan then drops another bomb: her mother, Darcy Dylan, is in town. The problem? Dylan hasn’t seen her mother in years. Will is surprised and immediately wants to meet her. Dylan agrees, but she doesn't stick around for long. She has a shift at Bikini Bar and quickly heads out. But judging by what Will has just learned, meeting Dylan’s mother may open a door to a part of Dylan’s past she would rather keep closed.

Wyatt Gets Curious About Dylan

Wyatt stops by the beach house to check on his little brother, but the conversation naturally shifts to Dylan. Will reveals that Dylan is juggling jobs at both Forrester Creations and Bikini Bar. He also tells Wyatt that Dylan’s mother is unexpectedly in town after years apart.

Will admits he's concerned because he doesn’t know how intense Dylan’s mother might be. Wyatt picks up on that immediately. If Will is so concerned, he asks, “Why hasn’t Dylan seen her mother in all these years?” And suddenly, what looked like a simple mother-daughter reunion starts sounding like there could be a much bigger story behind it.

Electra Finds Out and RJ Sees an Opening

Meanwhile, Electra is in the Forrester design room when RJ walks in. She wastes absolutely no time telling him that “Dylan and Will are sleeping together.” Electra is stunned that Will—the man she has broken up with approximately 18 million times has actually moved on.

As much as she tries to accept it, Electra admits the truth: “She will always love Will.” RJ is more than happy to be there for her while she gets over him. But RJ isn't only offering emotional support. He reminds Electra about their upcoming fashion line inspired by her and then makes one thing very clear: “No one can know. Especially Will.”

Katie Worries About Her Son

Over at Spencer Publications, Katie and Bill discuss finding a silk distributor. Katie has compiled a list of potential new distributors for Will to review. But business isn't the only thing on Katie's mind. She admits she's worried about Will dating Dylan.

Bill, however, is perfectly happy that his son appears to have finally escaped the endless on-again, off-again cycle with Electra. Katie is NOT HAPPY! She is also about to meet Dylan's mother, hoping the encounter will give her a better understanding of where Dylan comes from and perhaps what kind of family Will is getting involved with. Little does Katie know, she's about to get a much more entertaining introduction than she expected.

Darcy Dylan Makes an Entrance

Dylan arrives at Bikini Bar, not to work, but to meet her mother. And Darcy Dylan certainly makes an impression. She is thrilled to see her daughter and almost immediately asks the question only Darcy seems capable of asking within seconds of a reunion: “How much money does Dylan need?” Dylan insists she doesn't need anything. Darcy ignores her protest and tries to hand her $500 anyway. Dylan refuses the money, making it clear that she didn't come to see her mother for cash. She came because there is a lot they need to catch up on.

Then Deacon arrives. He introduces himself to Darcy, and the chemistry is immediate. The two begin flirting, much to Dylan's apparent disbelief. When Deacon leaves, Dylan warns her mother that he's already in a relationship. Darcy's response? “That's merely a challenge.” Dylan quickly realizes that after all these years, some things about her mother apparently haven't changed. She tells Darcy she has a lot to catch up on. And one of those things is Will Spencer.

Katie Meets Darcy and Everything Gets Complicated

Katie arrives at Bikini Bar to meet Dylan, but Darcy's attention is immediately stolen. She recognizes Katie Spencer and goes into full-on fan mode. Darcy is practically beside herself as Katie approaches. She can't believe she's actually speaking to her.

Dylan tries to explain the situation, but Katie beats her to it. She tells Darcy that “their children are dating.” Darcy is stunned. Her daughter isn't just dating some random guy. She's dating “Will Spencer, the son of Bill and Katie Spencer.”

And suddenly, Katie's desire to learn more about the woman who raised Dylan has collided headfirst with Darcy's fascination with the Spencer family. Because if Darcy is anything like the woman Dylan has just described, this meeting isn't going to end with polite introductions.

I am hoping this is the beginning of a very messy Spencer-Dylan family entanglement.
