Apple TV is gearing up for an inspiring family adventure with the first look at Way of the Warrior Kid, premiering globally on Friday, November 20, 2026. Based on the bestselling novel by former Navy SEAL Jocko Willink, the Apple Original Film brings heart, humor, and life lessons to a story about courage, perseverance, and finding your inner strength.
Middle school is rough for Marc (Jude Hill). Bullied, behind in academics, and struggling to fit in, he feels like the world is always one step ahead. That changes when his injured Uncle Jake (Chris Pratt), a decorated Navy SEAL, comes to spend the summer with Marc and his mother, Sarah (Linda Cardellini). Instead of simply teaching Marc to fight, Jake implements “Operation Warrior Kid,” a program based on his SEAL training designed to teach real courage and resilience. Along the way, Marc learns that facing your fears and your own self-doubt is the true path to becoming a “warrior kid.”
Directed by McG (Charlie’s Angels, Terminator Salvation) and written by Will Staples (Without Remorse, The Right Stuff), Way of the Warrior Kid combines action, heartfelt storytelling, and family-friendly adventure. Alongside the leads, the cast includes Ava Torres, Levi McConaughey, Darien Sills-Evans, Carl McDowell, Parker Young, and the author Jocko Willink himself, ensuring authenticity and emotional weight.

Produced by Skydance Media and Apple Original Films, with McG, Chris Pratt, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Mary Viola, and others on board, the film signals Apple TV’s commitment to high-quality family entertainment that is both entertaining and meaningful. Executive producers include Will Staples, Steven Bello, and Cliff Lanning.
Way of the Warrior Kid promises to inspire viewers of all ages, delivering laughs, life lessons, and action-packed moments, perfect for a family movie night. Apple TV’s November 20 release is shaping up to be one of the streaming platform’s most heartwarming premieres of 2026.
