Matt Shade and Angie Everett moved across the country, got married, had a baby and supposedly left private investigation behind. “Changing Tides” needs roughly one date night to prove neither of them was fooling anybody. Private Eyes West Coast catches up with Shade and Angie in Victoria, where they are attempting something dangerously close to normal adulthood. Angie still has investigative instincts running through her veins, while Shade has moved into the author phase of h

Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent opens its second season on The CW with a murder that initially appears rooted in tensions surrounding a downtown encampment. By the time Graff and Bateman are finished pulling apart everyone’s version of events, “White Squirrel City” has become a story about bullying, manipulation and a mother who spent years constructing her own truth. Mick McCarthy is found stabbed to death in a Toronto park where he has been living among an unhoused com

CIA begins Season 2 with Bill Goodman returning to work while carrying something he absolutely has not processed yet. His father recently died after battling cancer, and while Bill insists he is ready to get back to business, the premiere makes it pretty clear that grief is riding shotgun whether he acknowledges it or not. Colin certainly notices. After Bill ignores his calls and messages, Colin handles concern in the most Colin way possible: by appearing in the back of Bill’

FBI wastes absolutely no time reminding us that OA’s life got very complicated at the end of last season. The Season 9 premiere, “Rendition,” finds him still embedded with Anna Vorpe and her off-the-books strike team, while Maggie is forced to adjust to both his absence and a new partner she did not exactly request. OA getting fired may have looked like the end of his FBI career, but it was really the beginning of a much more dangerous assignment. His dismissal gave him the c

Line of Fire is only three episodes in, and apparently the Hollingsworth family has already decided that federal jurisdiction is more of a suggestion than a rule. “There Are Two Wolves” sends Russ and Clare racing to stop someone from dismantling a federal grand jury one juror at a time, while Mike manages to annoy nearly his entire Secret Service detail in the name of getting everyone “back to basics.” Meanwhile, the mystery surrounding Jack and Logan refuses to go away, esp

WARNING: This recap contains major spoilers for Tracker Season 4, Episode 1, “Safe Harbor.” Colter Shaw is back on the road, and apparently Season 4 had no interest in easing him back into work with a nice, uncomplicated missing-person case. “Safe Harbor” begins with a teenage boy asking Colter for help finding someone he initially claims is his missing brother. Colter quickly realizes there is more to the story: the missing man is actually the boy’s father, Sean Wooledge, an

WARNING: This recap contains major spoilers for Marshals Season 2, Episode 1, “All Hat No Cattle.” Marshals really looked at all those Season 1 cliffhangers and said, “Fine, we’ll deal with every bit of this mess right now.” Season 2 wastes almost no time throwing Kayce Dutton back into crisis mode as “All Hat No Cattle” picks up after the finale revealed that Tom Weaver was nowhere near the friendly rancher he pretended to be. Tate is in danger, Cal and Belle have been attac

Briar Roberts thought she was being shipped off to a school for troubled teens, but Crescent Veil had a very different orientation planned. By the end of the premiere, she has learned she is a witch, discovered vampires are very much real, and managed to build chemistry with one before she even fully understands what kind of world she has stepped into. That is one rough first day, and the episode knows exactly how much fun there is in dropping Briar into a supernatural mess b

SPOILER WARNING: This recap contains spoilers from Scrubs Season 2, Episode 1, “My First Time in a While.” Scrubs is officially back for Season 2, and the premiere wastes absolutely no time reminding us why this revival works when it leans into the relationships that made the original series so special. “My First Time in a While” gives us the jokes, the ridiculous J.D. behavior and the Sacred Heart chaos, but underneath all of that is a surprisingly emotional episode about Dr

SPOILER WARNING: This recap contains major spoilers from the series finale of Tyler Perry’s The Oval. After seven seasons of murder, betrayal, poison, hookups, explosions and enough White House crimes to keep several federal agencies employed forever, The Oval has officially come to an end. Well, “come to an end” might be a generous way to describe what happened because this finale sure acted like Season 8 was waiting right around the corner. The Season 7 finale, “The Filthy

Spoiler Warning: This recap contains spoilers for DOC Season 3, Episode 2, “Ready or Not.” Well, DOC wasted absolutely no time making Dr. Ben Grant even more complicated. Season 3 Episode 2, “Ready or Not,” throws Westside into chaos when an entire family is brought in after a horrific car accident. But while the doctors race to keep everyone alive, Amy is dealing with another emergency of her own: memories of Ben are coming back, and the story he tells her about their past d

Warning: This recap contains spoilers for Line of Fire Season 1 Episode 2, “A Bigger Picture.” Line of Fire delivered another good episode with “A Bigger Picture,” but if the premiere was about introducing us to the Hollingsworth family, Episode 2 really starts showing us how complicated it is when nearly everyone in your family works for the federal government. Work and personal lives are already colliding, secrets are piling up, and somehow this family is still functioning…

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR ANIMAL CONTROL SEASON 5 EPISODE 1, “SEAHAWKS AND PIGLETS.” Animal Control is back for Season 5, and apparently the best way to start a new season is with a work stoppage, a missing NFL mascot and Templeton making everyone’s lives more difficult. The premiere picks up with Emily still sidelined while Templeton has taken over at the precinct. Frank is not exactly thrilled about the new leadership situation, so he organizes a work stoppage and gets the rest of

WE HAVE OFFICIALLY REACHED THE END OF ALL AMERICAN! After eight seasons, All American has officially come to an end with the final episode directed by Daniel Ezra, and this finale really felt like the end of an era. We start off with a video featuring our main characters talking about where they think they’ll be in 20 years. It’s a great way to start the final episode because this show has always been about these characters figuring out what they want their futures to look li

WARNING: This recap contains major spoilers for the S.W.A.T. Exiles series premiere, “Clean Entry.” Hondo is back, but S.W.A.T. Exiles is not interested in pretending everything can just pick up where the original series left off. Two years have passed, a lot has changed, and Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson is carrying enough personal and professional baggage to make this comeback anything but simple. When the premiere catches up with him, Hondo is working private security instead o

Spoiler Warning: This recap contains major spoilers for Fightland Season 1 Episode 8, “You Won’t See Me Coming.” Fightland came into its Season 1 finale with Duke still determined to settle the score with Kingsley, but “You Won’t See Me Coming” makes one thing very clear: the enemy Duke has been chasing all season was never the whole story. By the time the credits roll, Kingsley’s reign is over, one of the season’s biggest mysteries has finally been answered, and Duke has fou

Warning: This recap contains major spoilers for American Horror Story: 13 Episodes 1-3. American Horror Story is back, and Season 13 clearly has no interest in easing us into things. FX kicked off American Horror Story: 13 with a three-episode premiere that reaches deep into the franchise's history, resurrecting familiar characters while introducing a new mystery surrounding the number 13 and one extremely unsettling old man named Mr. Nas. Jessica Lange's Constance Langdon is

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has thrown black holes, white holes, broken Starfleet regulations, quantum entanglement, time travel, strange alien life and plenty of classic Star Trek references at us before, but “Tomorrow’s Enterprise” manages to bring nearly all of it together for one massive Season 4 finale. Somehow, it works, and Barbara’s enthusiasm for this one is absolutely warranted. The episode opens with an impressive visual of a white hole that almost seems to vibra

The penultimate episode is here! We are officially one episode away from the end of the season and the series, and All American is bringing everything together with “Finish Line.” There is a lot going on in this episode, but the biggest focus is definitely on KJ, Khalil, Amina, and the showcase! We start off with a flashback involving the Jeremys as KJ recounts when he first fell in love with football. We finally get to see KJ take part in the showcase after what feels like t
