This week, courtesy of Home Dept, the kitchen was turned into the ultimate backyard watch party, and the remaining home cooks were challenged to elevate standard game-day comfort food into fine-dining masterpieces in just 60 minutes. With a $2,500 Home Depot gift card, that coveted immunity pin, and total safety for their entire territory on the line, things got heated. Because Dave won the last team challenge, he was given his advantage, the “red card.” At the 30-minute halftime mark, Dave controlled the kitchen with the power to yank one cook entirely out of the challenge. The chosen cook would receive automatic safety from elimination, but the twist carried a double-edged sword: if he chose someone from his own team (Africa) that meant Heidi and Peter would automatically represent their territory in both the top and bottom dishes. Rita (Africa) planned to make filet and some Nigerian suya spice while Peter is making fried plantains and steak. Heidi did a play on surf and turf with scallops and NY strip steak. Jaime (Asia-Pacific) wanted to honor her father who worked at Home Depot with a traditional Malaysian Roti Canai curry dish. Meanwhile Julia (Europe) made seared scallops with leaks. That means automatically Heidi or Peter would get top and bottom dishes. Nico (Europe) made chicken skewers and Maria (Americas) made steak but didn’t temp it and mash potatoes in the blender. When the halftime clock buzzed, Dave, seeing that Rita had not even put her steak on the heat yet, flashed the red card and saved her from the chopping block. While Rita breathed a sigh of relief, Dave's strategy instantly threw her African teammates, Heidi and Peter, into the line of fire. The top dishes of the night belonged to Heidi, Jaime, Tkaiya, and Julia. Ultimately, it was Jaime who was crowned with the emotional win. Her Malaysian Roti Canai curry honored her father's Home Depot legacy in the most poetic way possible. Unfortunately, at the bottom was Peter, Nico, and Maria. Because of Dave's halftime twist, Peter found himself in the bottom three by default, but his well-executed steak and plantains easily kept him safe. Whew. Take a deep breath, Savage Garden coven, because television marketing just changed forever. AMC officially did their big one. On a beautiful weeknight in New York City, the historic Beacon Theatre was turned into a gothic-glam sanctuary for The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only live fan premiere and concert event. To celebrate the upcoming third season of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire, (timed perfectly to the embargo lift which has the season sitting pretty at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes) AMC said forget handing out posters or a new trailer. No, girl, they threw an immersive, rock-and-roll experience that completely altered the brain chemistry of everyone in attendance. I've gone to my fair share of screenings but this has got to be the best screening I have ever attended. The minute you entered the venue, it was clear that AMC said budget, what's that, I don't know her. Before you even made it to your seat, you were met with a crew member making sure you received your complimentary snack and beverage to fuel up for the night ahead. You get to your seat and the VIP treatment continued with a custom swag tote bag waiting for every single guest. Inside was a treasure trove for the fandom: The Vampire Lestat Rolling Stone cover, a mini collectible record and a golden ticket QR code for exclusive concert merch only available to attendees. The energy outside on the black carpet was fire, but the real magic happened when the star-studded guest list made their way inside. After posing for flashbulbs, doing interviews and greeting screaming fans, the cast and creatives were shown directly to their seats right within the crowd of fans and industry professionals. Seated down front close to the action, the view of the arena was unmatched. One by one, the stars led in to the absolute, deafening screams of the balcony above. Jacob Anderson, Eric Bogosian, Assad Zaman, and Delainey Hayles were all smiles as they found their rows. Now, full disclosure: I have already seen the first six episodes provided to the press. But watching the highly anticipated season three premiere episode alongside the actual cast and fans? Unbelievable. Catching side-glances of their real-time reactions to the fans' explosive reactions was an absolute highlight. While my lips are sealed and I will never spoil the plot of the episode, I can say with total confidence that the fandom absolutely loved the premiere. The collective gasps, laughs and cheers proved that the writers have struck a chord with the fans. If the episode screening was an appetizer, the live concert that immediately followed was a whole entire five-course meal. Now, look, I am not a huge rock music fan by any means, but the live set was completely electrifying. The second Sam Reid stepped onto the stage, he was no longer just an actor; he was entirely Lestat de Lioncourt giving a full-throttle rock concert. The vocals were live completely mesmerizing as his mic was on. I couldn't believe it. The production value, the lighting and the performance were so seamless that it felt like being trapped directly inside an episode of the show. Not me feeling a certain type of way watching the cast support each other, either. Getting to see Jacob Anderson, who was seated just a few seats down from me, literally beaming with pride at Sam’s performance was everything. I felt like a proud mama watching them and I can’t even fully explain it. The mutual respect and camaraderie between the onscreen toxic couple added a whole new layer of sweetness to an otherwise beautifully dark night. AMC and Sam Reid gave the fans a real treat that will be talked about until the actual television broadcast airs on Sunday, June 7. It was a flawless victory. Amazing, 10/10, absolutely no notes. NBC officially canceled the high-concept crime drama The Hunting Party after two seasons, dropping the axe on June 2, 2026. The network reached its final decision following weeks of post-upfronts deliberation after the Season 2 finale aired on May 7. While The TV Cave crew loves a good mystery, the real puzzle is how a show about a secret underground prison hidden in Wyoming managed to lock out its own audience. Whew. Let’s talk about those broadcast numbers, because they were not giving what they were supposed to give. Network executives finally gave up on the sophomore procedural after live viewership plummeted by double digits, averaging a middling 3.7 million viewers. Not us feeling a certain way about the network prioritizing its Thursday night real estate, but NBC decided that the 10 p.m. time slot behind Law & Order: SVU was better suited for the flagship Law & Order reboot. The Pit Falls Apart: Plot Holes and Loose Ends The most tragic part of having The Hunting Party canceled is the absolute cliffhanger left dangling over the fandom. We finally found out that "The Pit" wasn't just a black-site prison keeping deadly serial killers out of the public eye. It was actively manufacturing them through twisted psychological treatments. Our favorite former FBI profiler, Rebecca "Bex" Henderson, played by Manifest alum Melissa Roxburgh, had just taken full charge of the task force when the curtain dropped. Alongside co-stars Patrick Sabongui, Josh McKenzie, and Sara Garcia, the team was left staring down an endless list of modified killers on the loose. The writers literally handed us a massive conspiracy twist and then turned off the lights. Talk about a brutal cancellation. Can Streaming Save the Task Force? Do not lose all hope just yet. Universal Television isn't letting its creation go down without a fight. The production studio plans to shop the series to rival networks and premium streaming platforms. The most logical savior here is Netflix, which already owns the domestic licensing rights to stream the earlier episodes. The show previously enjoyed a decent digital bump on the platform, proving that binge-watchers might appreciate the "killer-of-the-week" format more than traditional network viewers. Ultimately, the network chose to clean house, packing away this thriller alongside other casualties like Brilliant Minds. Not Suitable for Work: The Next Big NYC Sitcom This Article contains spoilers. The first three episodes of Mindy Kaling’s newest sitcom have dropped on Hulu, and people are absolutely loving it. Following a group of twenty-somethings navigating post-grad life in Murray Hill, Not Suitable for Work is shaping up to be Hulu’s next hit. If you’re like me and have been craving a new, relatable sitcom, this show is absolutely perfect for you. Set in NYC, think of it as a modern-day Friends. While the group doesn’t all start out as friends, they slowly begin intertwining themselves in each other’s lives. We start off strong with our trio: Kel, Josh, and Davis. Davis (Will Angus), the bridge between the two, grew up with Kel (Nicholas Duvernay) and went to college with Josh (Jack Martin). The three of them showcase the dichotomy of being in your twenties. We have Davis, the lovable investment banker who is desperate for love; Kel, the charming aspiring actor who just dropped out of medical school and is trying to figure it all out; and finally Josh, the slightly annoying but impossible-not-to-love nepo baby who was just dumped. The three of them have a very wholesome friendship that viewers will love. Now add in their neighbors, Abby and AJ, and talk about a fun dynamic. AJ (Ella Hunt) just moved to NYC and landed a job at the same firm as Davis, but gets a rude awakening when she realizes the hookup who ghosted her in college is her new neighbor. In classic Mindy Kaling fashion, I can spot a good enemies-to-lovers storyline from a mile away, and these two have the perfect history to kick off what could become an iconic relationship, one fans are already obsessed with. There also is room for a love triangle between the neighbors, another classic trope that Kaling writes well. Last but not least, we have Abby (Avantika), a styling assistant trying to break through in the fashion industry while navigating a new celebrity relationship. Will she put her job on the line for her handsome new employer or will she give the charming Kel a chance? Put them all together and you have a chaotic, relatable, and hilarious group. From Never Have I Ever, The Sex Lives of College Girls, and The Mindy Project, it’s no secret that Mindy Kaling has the skills to produce another hit show. After only three episodes, I’m already hooked and wanting more. Kaling hits the nail on the head every time, creating characters you can see yourself in and can’t help but root for, despite their constant ability to find themselves in outrageous situations. She also knows how to build a strong ensemble cast with chemistry that practically jumps off the screen. With cameos from comedian Zarna Garg, musician Questlove, SNL star Ego Nwodim, and model Gigi Hadid, along with recurring roles from Constance Wu, Victor Garber, and Michael Benjamin Washington, Kaling has crafted a perfect on-screen dynamic. I’m looking forward to the rest of the season and hope we’ll be seeing a lot more from my new favorite Murray Hill residents!

The wait is almost over, Silo fans. Apple TV has released the official trailer for the highly anticipated third season of its acclaimed sci-fi drama, giving viewers their first real look at the next chapter of Juliette Nichols' journey. Along with the new footage, the streamer confirmed that Silo Season 3 will premiere July 3, with new episodes arriving weekly through September 4. And if you thought the mysteries surrounding the silo were complicated before, whew, Season 3 looks ready to take things to an entirely different level. Based on Hugh Howey's bestselling book trilogy, the new season will continue Juliette's story following the explosive events of Season 2 while also traveling back centuries to explore the origins of the world fans have spent years trying to understand. According to Apple TV, Season 3 will introduce a storyline set during the "Before Times," following journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) as they uncover a conspiracy that ultimately changes the course of history. Meanwhile, in the present timeline, Juliette survives her forced cleaning but returns with memory loss as her silo struggles to recover from rebellion and confront a dangerous new threat. Yes, peeps, they're finally giving us answers about how this whole thing started. The newly released trailer leans heavily into that dual-timeline storytelling, teasing both the collapse of the world audiences know and the uncertain future facing the people underground. For longtime viewers, the biggest draw may be the promise of finally seeing the events that led humanity into the silo system in the first place. Rebecca Ferguson returns as Juliette Nichols and continues to anchor the series, which has become one of television's most talked-about science fiction dramas. Returning cast members include Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Rick Gomez, Billy Postlethwaite and Clare Perkins.
