CBS’s workplace comedy DMV is back in session Monday, Feb. 23 (8:30–9:00 PM ET/PT) with an episode that proves even the most mundane government office can become a hotbed of emotional revelations, romantic potential, and low-level legal panic. Titled “Hot Gurlz,” the episode leans fully into the show’s strength: turning everyday frustrations into character-driven comedy.
This time around, Colette steps into unfamiliar territory when she goes on a date with Miguel (Eddie Ramos), Ceci’s cousin, a decision that quickly becomes more than just a casual night out. As Colette gets to know Miguel, she realizes he may actually be the missing link to understanding Ceci on a deeper level. Whether that’s a breakthrough or a recipe for awkward future shifts at the DMV remains to be seen, but DMV has never shied away from letting personal lives spill directly into the workplace.
Elsewhere, Barb uncovers an inconvenient truth: Greg is suing the DMV. Yes, that DMV. The revelation adds a new layer of tension to an already delicate office ecosystem, especially since Barb has long treated the job as something between a calling and a personality trait. Greg’s lawsuit threatens to turn simmering frustrations into something much messier and potentially much funnier.
Meanwhile, Vic takes on the role of emotional support coworker as he helps Noa deal with a particularly rude customer, Brent (guest star Mark Feuerstein). If DMV has proven anything so far this season, it’s that customer service isn’t just a job, it’s a test of endurance. Brent’s presence serves as yet another reminder that patience is a finite resource, especially when fluorescent lighting is involved.

Season 1 of DMV has steadily built its comedic identity by focusing less on big gimmicks and more on relatable workplace dynamics. The humor comes from recognition: the awkward dates, the office politics, the coworkers who know too much about each other’s lives, and the customers who absolutely should have filled out the correct form.
“Hot Gurlz” looks poised to push those dynamics further, blending romance, workplace tension, and just enough legal trouble to keep things interesting, all without anyone ever leaving the building.
DMV airs Monday, Feb. 23 (8:30–9:00 PM ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and streams on Paramount+.
