What to Watch Monday, October 26: ‘CIA,’ ‘The Mob’ & ‘Line of Fire’

Monday television is coming in hot with reality competition chaos, workplace comedy, FBI investigations and a World Series showdown. NBC wraps up the Battle Rounds on The Voice, Hulu introduces a group of celebrities willing to embrace their inner mobsters, and Netflix serves up a new comedy about teenagers trying to survive the wonderful world of minimum-wage employment.
Meanwhile, FBI and CIA continue their Monday-night partnership on CBS, Line of Fire raises the stakes with an aircraft emergency, and Food Network crowns its latest Halloween baking champion. Apparently, nobody got the memo that Mondays are supposed to ease us back into the week.
TV Cave Top Pick: The Mob
Our TV Cave Top Pick goes to The Mob, premiering today on Hulu with its first two episodes.
Hosted by Parker Posey, the new reality competition brings a group of celebrities to an extravagant Italian villa, where they'll compete in challenges inspired by classic mob movies. The goal is to outwit, outplay and potentially betray one another for a chance at a cash prize of up to $250,000.
The cast includes Bruno Tonioli, Debi Mazar, Joe Gorga, Harry Jowsey, Chelsea Lazkani and Aida Turturro, among others. With that combination of personalities, we're expecting plenty of dramatic confrontations and at least a few people who take their imaginary mob authority entirely too seriously.
The premise is ridiculous in exactly the way a celebrity reality competition should be. Between Posey's hosting duties, the Italian setting and a cast that knows its way around reality-TV drama, The Mob has enough potential chaos to earn our Monday Top Pick.

‘The Voice’ Wraps Its Battles as ‘Line of Fire’ Raises the Stakes
NBC kicks off the evening with The Voice at 8 PM, as the Battle Rounds reach their conclusion. The coaches face another round of difficult decisions as contestants compete for a chance to continue in the competition, with their Battle Advisors helping them prepare for the stage.
At 10 PM, Line of Fire returns with “Cabin Pressure,” and things are getting considerably more dangerous. Mike develops a plan to draw out an assassination suspect, while Jane races to save a hijacked aircraft. As if an ordinary Monday wasn't stressful enough, the team is now dealing with danger thousands of feet in the air.
CBS Brings the Investigations While Netflix Serves Up Workplace Chaos
Over on CBS, FBI returns at 8 PM with an investigation involving a missing infant, multiple murders and a company preparing to go public. At 9 PM, CIA follows an undercover operation involving sensitive information and foreign agents, before Harlan Coben's Final Twist closes the evening with another true-crime investigation.
For fans looking for something considerably less serious, Netflix premieres Minimum Wage, a 14-episode comedy about teenagers working at a chaotic neighborhood pizzeria. Randall Park joins the cast as the employees juggle school, difficult customers and the daily indignities of working for a paycheck that barely covers anything. Anyone who has survived a teenage fast-food job may find the experience a little too familiar.
Halloween Baking, Baseball and Monday Night Football
Food Network crowns a winner on Halloween Baking Championship at 9 PM, with the remaining competitors creating elaborate desserts inspired by ancient Egyptian tombs and bone-filled chambers. The champion walks away with $25,000, proving that making something delicious look completely horrifying can be a surprisingly lucrative skill.
Food Network
Sports fans have two major events competing for attention. The Milwaukee Brewers visit the Tampa Bay Rays for Game 3 of the World Series at 8 PM on FOX, while the Dallas Cowboys face the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. Baseball fans get another chapter in the championship race, and football fans get an NFC East rivalry that rarely needs much help generating drama.
Between The Mob making its debut, The Voice wrapping another competition round and Line of Fire delivering a dangerous new mission, Monday has plenty to offer. We're giving Hulu's celebrity competition our Top Pick, but Netflix's Minimum Wage and Food Network's Halloween finale deserve a spot on the watchlist.
