Friday’s television schedule looks a little different as the country marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. ABC, CBS and other networks are dedicating much of primetime to remembrance specials, while sports offer an alternative with the U.S. Open, college football and Friday Night Baseball.

Tonight’s Top Pick is a little different from our usual choice. On the 25th anniversary of September 11, ABC News will broadcast live from Lower Manhattan as the annual Tribute in Light illuminates the New York City skyline. David Muir, Robin Roberts and Diane Sawyer lead the special, which remembers the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives while honoring survivors, families, first responders and the communities forever changed by the attacks.

For viewers looking for something outside of the anniversary programming, sports provide plenty of options. The U.S. Open men’s semifinals take over ESPN during the afternoon, No. 23 Missouri visits Kansas on FOX in primetime, and Apple TV has a Friday Night Baseball doubleheader.
