This week on The Bold and the Beautiful, the battle between the Logan sisters reached another level, while Steffy Forrester Finnegan found herself trapped in a dangerous web of lies that could destroy her marriage. With Brooke Logan turning to an old flame for help, Katie Logan becoming increasingly determined to crush Forrester Creations, and Finn Finnegan beginning to question his wife's pregnancy, the week delivered plenty of emotional confrontations and secrets threatening to explode. The biggest question is whether these characters can stop their own decisions from causing irreversible damage.

Steffy's Surrogacy Secret Leaves Finn Reeling

The week opened with Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) finally telling her husband, Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), that she had agreed to become a surrogate for Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Daphne Rose Walton (Murielle Hilaire). Unfortunately, Steffy left out the most important detail: her pregnancy was not as straightforward as she wanted Finn to believe. She had already gone through the fertilization procedure while Finn was away, despite his objections to the arrangement.

Finn was understandably furious that Steffy had made such a significant decision without his agreement. He had believed they were on the same page about the surrogacy, only to discover that his wife had gone behind his back. Steffy tried to explain herself, but Finn struggled to understand how she could make such a life-changing decision without considering their marriage and their family. Her emotional confession might have been an attempt to clear the air, but it only created more questions.

What made this storyline particularly compelling was Finn's instinct that something was not right. As a doctor, he understands pregnancy and the medical procedures involved, and he knows his wife well enough to recognize when she is withholding information. Steffy may have convinced herself that presenting the situation as a surrogacy would protect her marriage, but she underestimated her husband's ability to recognize a half-truth. Tanner Novlan brought the right mixture of anger, confusion, and hurt to Finn's reaction, while Jacqueline MacInnes Wood conveyed Steffy's desperation as she tried to keep her carefully constructed explanation intact.

The situation became even more complicated when Finn brought Carter, Daphne, and Steffy together to discuss what had happened. Dr. Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) was also drawn into the situation, and Daphne's admission that she had not known about the procedure until after the fertilization raised additional questions. Carter and Steffy were already carrying a secret that could devastate several lives, and every additional person involved made it harder to control the truth.

Li's Medical Investigation Raises New Questions

As the week progressed, Li became increasingly important to the pregnancy storyline. After a blood test confirmed Steffy's pregnancy, Li suggested checking for a fetal heartbeat. The results produced a moment that should have been joyful for the expectant parents but instead created another reason for concern.

When Li used a Doppler monitor, the heartbeat was surprisingly strong for how early the pregnancy was supposed to be. Daphne was thrilled by the sound, interpreting it as a beautiful sign that she and Carter would finally have a child. However, Li's reaction suggested that the result did not entirely fit the timeline she expected.

This was an effective way to raise the stakes without immediately exposing Steffy's secret. The pregnancy was no longer simply a question of whether Finn would accept his wife's decision. Now, there were medical details that could undermine the story she had told him. Li's professional curiosity could become the biggest threat to Steffy's deception, especially because she is not someone who will easily ignore an inconsistency in a medical examination.

Daphne's happiness also made the situation more heartbreaking. She believes Steffy has made an extraordinary sacrifice to help her and Carter become parents. She has no idea that the circumstances surrounding the pregnancy are far more complicated than she realizes. Every time Daphne expresses gratitude, Steffy must face the consequences of what she has done, while Carter must watch the woman he betrayed celebrate a future built on a lie.

The strongest part of this story is the dramatic irony. Viewers know that the adults involved are not operating with the same information, and the truth threatens to hurt everyone differently. Finn is worried about his marriage, Daphne is looking forward to motherhood, Carter is trying to protect his secret, and Steffy is struggling to keep all the pieces together. With Li investigating the pregnancy, Steffy's time may be running out.

Brooke Turns to Bill, but Is That a Dangerous Mistake?

Meanwhile, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) continued to struggle with her increasingly bitter feud with her sister, Katie Logan (Heather Tom). What began as a disagreement over their competing fashion businesses has become something much more personal. Brooke believes Katie is using Logan to exact revenge on Forrester Creations, while Katie sees herself as a businesswoman determined to prove that she can succeed without living in her sister's shadow.

Brooke was particularly troubled by Katie's determination to bring Forrester down. Rather than accepting that the sisters might have to compete professionally, Brooke seemed unable to separate the business rivalry from their family relationship. She wanted Katie to recognize the damage she was causing, but her repeated appeals had accomplished very little. As the distance between them grew, Brooke began looking for someone who might be able to get through to Katie. That person turned out to be Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), Katie's husband and Brooke's former romantic partner.

Brooke reached out to Bill and asked him to intervene, hoping he could persuade Katie to ease up on Forrester Creations. Bill initially questioned Brooke's position, arguing that Katie had every right to build her own company and compete against her former employer. He was not convinced that Katie's success automatically meant she was motivated by revenge.

However, Brooke reminded Bill of their history together, bringing up memories of their time in Denver and the adventures they had shared. Their conversation served as a reminder that Brooke and Bill have a connection that goes beyond their current circumstances. Eventually, Bill agreed to speak with Katie, setting up a potentially explosive situation involving three people with complicated romantic and family histories.

Katherine Kelly Lang did a good job portraying Brooke's desperation as she watched her relationship with Katie deteriorate. Brooke genuinely appeared to want her sister back, but she also seemed determined to make Katie recognize that she had gone too far. The problem is that Brooke's approach risks making the situation worse. By involving Bill, she has introduced another personal complication into an already volatile family dispute.

Donna Logan Forrester (Jennifer Gareis) recognized that danger when Brooke confided in her. Donna warned her sister that Katie and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) might be furious if they discovered that Brooke had turned to Bill. She also suggested that Brooke's history with Bill could complicate matters in ways she had not anticipated.

Donna's concerns were justified. Brooke may believe Bill is the only person capable of reaching Katie, but asking her sister's husband to intervene in a bitter family dispute is hardly a neutral move. Even if Brooke's intentions are sincere, Katie could interpret the decision as another attempt to undermine her independence.

Katie's Desire for Revenge Becomes an Obsession

While Brooke searched for a way to repair the damage, Katie seemed increasingly consumed by the need to defeat her sister.

Katie confided in Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks), making it clear that her ambitions extended beyond building a successful fashion house. She wanted to bring Forrester Creations to its knees, and her determination suggested that this was no longer simply about business. Katie wanted to prove something to Brooke, and she appeared willing to risk their relationship to do it.

Heather Tom continues to make Katie's anger understandable, even when her character's choices become difficult to defend. Katie has spent years living in the shadow of her older sister, and the opportunity to establish Logan as a serious competitor represents a chance to claim an identity of her own. She wants recognition for her business instincts and wants Brooke to understand that she can succeed independently.

The trouble is that Katie's understandable desire for independence is becoming entangled with a need to punish Brooke. Those are two very different motivations, and Katie seems increasingly unable to distinguish between them. Building Logan into a successful company would be a meaningful achievement. Destroying Forrester simply to hurt Brooke, however, could leave Katie with a hollow victory and a family that no longer trusts her.

Bill attempted to get Katie to reconsider her aggressive approach, reminding her that there was room for two fashion houses in Los Angeles. He also appealed to the importance of family, suggesting that she could pursue her ambitions without destroying her relationship with the Logans.

Katie was suspicious of his sudden change of heart. She reminded Bill of the ruthless business philosophy they had previously embraced and questioned why he now wanted to back away from their campaign against Forrester. She even wondered whether he had an agenda of his own.

That suspicion was particularly interesting because Bill was not necessarily wrong to worry about the personal cost of Katie's actions. His argument was that she could win professionally without sacrificing everything else in her life. But Katie is so focused on defeating Brooke that she seems unwilling to consider whether her husband might have a point.

The question is whether Katie can still recognize the difference between standing up for herself and allowing resentment to control her decisions. Brooke may have contributed to their fractured relationship, but Katie's determination to destroy Forrester threatens to turn a painful family disagreement into a permanent estrangement.

Will Spencer Takes Matters into His Own Hands

The younger generation also had developments of its own as Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) continued trying to help Dylan (Sydney Bullock) establish herself professionally. Will's feelings for Melissa Dylan have become increasingly important to him, and he is determined to support her future. His willingness to take matters into his own hands shows that he does not intend to sit back and let other people dictate what happens to her career.

This storyline also connects to the larger business rivalry between Logan and Forrester Creations. With Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) having left Forrester to join Logan, the competition between the two fashion houses is already affecting the people who work for them. Will's determination to help Dylan adds another personal dimension to the professional upheaval.

There is potential here for Will to demonstrate that he is becoming more independent rather than simply following the lead of his family. However, his good intentions could also create complications if he acts without considering the consequences. As the Spencer and Logan families become more deeply entangled in the fashion war, even a seemingly simple effort to help someone find work could have repercussions.

Donna Hopes for a Logan Family Reconciliation

Donna remained one of the few characters holding on to the hope that Brooke and Katie could repair their relationship. She was saddened by how far the sisters had drifted apart and worried that the ongoing feud would cause lasting damage to their family.

Her conversations with Brooke highlighted the emotional cost of the conflict. The rivalry has become so consuming that the sisters seem to have forgotten the relationship they are fighting over. Donna wants them to remember that they are family, regardless of which company succeeds or who wins the latest argument.

Unfortunately, Donna's optimism may be misplaced for now. Brooke has involved Bill, Katie suspects her husband is hiding something, and neither sister appears ready to acknowledge her own contribution to the escalating feud. The longer the conflict continues, the more difficult it will become to put things right.

What makes this family drama work is that both sisters have understandable grievances, yet neither seems willing to take the first meaningful step toward reconciliation. Brooke believes Katie is motivated by revenge, while Katie feels justified in fighting back against someone who has made her feel diminished. Until they can move beyond those assumptions, even Donna's best efforts may not be enough.

My Thoughts

This was a good week for The Bold and the Beautiful because both major storylines revolved around the consequences of decisions made for deeply personal reasons. Steffy wants to protect her marriage, Brooke wants to save her family's fashion legacy, and Katie wants to prove that she can succeed on her own. Yet all three-women risk destroying the very relationships they are trying to protect or redefine.

The Steffy, Finn, and Carter triangle is particularly intriguing because the surrogacy arrangement gives the characters a plausible reason to conceal information, but the truth is much more complicated than the explanation being offered. Steffy cannot simply tell Finn that she is helping Carter and Daphne and expect him to ignore the inconsistencies. Her decision has implications for her marriage, her family, and Daphne's future as a mother.

I also think Li's involvement is a smart development. Having a doctor investigate the pregnancy creates a natural path toward the truth without requiring anyone to stumble upon a conveniently placed confession. The unexpectedly strong heartbeat gives Li a concrete reason to question the timeline, and that medical detail could become the key that unravels everything.

The Logan sisters' feud is equally compelling, although Katie needs to be careful. I understand why she wants to prove herself and why she is determined to establish Logan as a legitimate competitor. But her desire to bring Forrester down threatens to overshadow the very business success she wants to achieve. If she becomes more interested in Brooke's downfall than in building her own company, she could ultimately undermine herself.

Brooke, meanwhile, needs to recognize that she cannot dictate how Katie runs her business. Asking Bill to intervene might seem like a practical solution, but it also risks creating a new source of mistrust. Donna was right to question whether Bill involved was worth the potential fallout. You know since Brooke cheated Bill twice.

Overall, the week delivered engaging emotional drama, several promising developments, and two major secrets that are becoming increasingly difficult to contain. The strongest scenes came when the characters' private motivations collided with the expectations of the people closest to them. The next challenge is making sure the fallout is allowed to develop naturally rather than being resolved too quickly.

The Truth Is Getting Closer

The Bold and the Beautiful moved toward two potentially explosive confrontations. On one side, Brooke and Katie are allowing professional competition and personal resentment to threaten their family bond. On the other, Steffy is trying to convince Finn that her pregnancy is part of a noble arrangement while concealing the truth about her relationship with Carter.

The performances from Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, Tanner Novlan, Heather Tom, and Katherine Kelly Lang helped ground the drama in genuine emotional conflict. The characters may be making questionable decisions, but their fear, anger, and desperation give the storylines their emotional weight.

The biggest concern for Steffy is that Li now has reason to question the pregnancy timeline. Meanwhile, Katie is beginning to question Bill's motives just as Brooke places her trust in him. Both situations are heading toward revelations that could change several relationships at once.

Li has heard the baby's heartbeat, and it is stronger than she expected. Finn is already suspicious, Carter is protecting a dangerous secret, and Steffy is running out of explanations. Will Li uncover the truth about the pregnancy before Steffy can protect her marriage, or will Finn discover the secret on his own? And with Katie questioning Bill's sudden change of heart, will Brooke's attempt to save Forrester end up creating an even bigger family disaster? I was not expecting B&B to play this beat of the story!  Oh, let’s GO!!!
