General Hospital Recap: Sonny's Troubles Grow as Port Charles Secrets Unfold

This week on General Hospital, romance is heating up, secrets are coming to light, and some Port Charles residents are finding themselves in situations they never expected. Britt enjoys a night of passion, Trina's mysterious admirer is getting a little too close for comfort, and Sonny continues dealing with the fallout from the Pentonville attacks. Meanwhile, Valentin receives an unwelcome surprise concerning Wyndemere, and several relationships face complications. Let's discuss what happened this week in Port Charles.
Sonny's Troubles Continue
Carly brings Donna's tablet over to Sonny's house, and Sonny suspects their daughter is playing him because she claimed she needed it for school. Carly admits Donna is hard to say no to, and yes, their daughter is definitely playing her dad. There's a knock at the door, and Sonny answers it to find Anna standing there. She asks if he's open to an unannounced visitor, and the two discuss how Sonny feels about Gio leaving and believing Sonny was responsible for Sidwell and Curtis' beating at Pentonville. Anna shares her experience of people not believing her when she's telling the truth, and Sonny appreciates hearing from someone who understands what he's going through.
Later, Jason visits Sonny with an update on Vito's whereabouts. Jason suggests getting Brick to investigate ADA Turner's past to see if there's something she wants hidden, but Sonny doesn't want her life torn apart. He reveals that he and Turner have been seeing each other since March, which explains why he's reluctant to go after her. Meanwhile, ADA Turner meets with Drew to discuss the attack on Jenz Sidwell and Curtis Ashford and offers him a deal. Ric also sits down with Sonny and Jason at the Metro Court and suggests Josslyn framed Sonny for the Pentonville attacks, but Sonny disagrees with his theory.
Britt Finds Romance While Trina Faces an Unsettling Situation
Jude and Britt get to know each other at the Brown Dog Bar, where he is impressed by her ability to clear out a bar full of happy people without pulling the fire alarm. Britt laughs and is flattered by his attention, and their flirting eventually leads to an agreement to spend one night together. Britt, aka Stunner, and Jude, aka Cracker Jack, passionately kiss on their way to his hotel room and can barely stop long enough for him to open the door. The following morning, Britt wakes up when Jude wishes her good morning, and the two pick up right where they left off. Britt arrives at work in a much happier mood, completely different from the woman she was at the Brown Dog, while Jude decides he wants to extend his stay in Port Charles.
Elsewhere, Quinn asks Trina if she likes the room he's brought her to as a surprise. Trina takes a quick look around and is ready to leave, but Quinn shuts the door, preventing her from going. Eventually, the master plan involving Quinn and Kai is revealed, and Trina and Kai make love during their Airbnb getaway. Meanwhile, another delivery of red roses arrives at Trina and Josslyn's apartment. The stalker knows where Trina lives! That's scary, especially considering how much attention she's already receiving from people she doesn't know.
Trina later rushes into the gallery, almost running into Ava, who jokingly asks whether someone is chasing her. Ava quickly notices that Trina is stressed, and Emma eventually arrives with information about the flowers. Emma tells Trina she's discovered the name of the person responsible for sending them and shows her how much attention she's receiving from fans. Emma reminds her that she's famous and has plenty of admirers, but that doesn't necessarily make the situation comfortable. Trina decides she'll have to tolerate her enthusiastic fans, even if some of them now know where she lives. It's one thing to admire someone's work, but it's another to know their home address.
Valentin's Problems and Carly's Confession
Valentin stops by to congratulate Josslyn on winning the piers, and she tells him how much she enjoyed it. He offers her some good advice, but Josslyn chooses to ignore it. Valentin later receives unwelcome news when someone purchases Wyndemere, leaving him furious after discovering he was outbid at the last second. Anna also visits Valentin at his home, initially intending to thank him for being part of her therapy, but she changes her mind after arriving. Between losing Wyndemere and Anna's unexpected visit, Valentin certainly has a lot to think about.
Meanwhile, Carly arrives late at Lucas' apartment and is surprised to discover that the party is already over. She apologizes for being late, and the two discuss her relationship with Valentin. Carly admits that her life is better with Valentin in it, making it clear how much he means to her. Later, she decides to surprise Valentin with a visit to his home because she's come to take some advice. With everything happening around Valentin, Carly's feelings about their relationship are becoming increasingly important.
Legal Matters, Business Moves, and Family Decisions
Monet meets with Alexis at the Miller and Davis law office, where they discuss her caseload. Alexis cautions her not to take on too much work and burn herself out, but Monet has plenty of business to handle. Isaiah nearly brings Portia dessert in bed before realizing he's forgotten something, and later, the two are cleaning up after their late-night dessert when the doorbell rings. Isaiah answers it and finds Monet standing there. Monet manages to manipulate Portia and Isaiah into giving her exactly what she wants.
Monet also meets with Chase at the Miller and Davis law office because she wants to make sure they're on the same page about the divorce. Willow later visits Monet after being impressed by her during their earlier meeting in Curtis' hospital room. Meanwhile, Ric meets with Brook Lynn at the Port Charles Grill to prepare for her divorce and tells her that he believes they have a very strong case. Later, a flight attendant offers Brook Lynn a glass of champagne, but she declines. The attendant then asks Brook Lynn's companion, who also turns it down. Surprise! It's Chase, and the two are headed to the Dominican Republic.
Lulu arrives at the Metro Court restaurant to meet Ric about her libel case. The two later go to Monet's office to discuss Willow's libel lawsuit against Lulu, adding another legal matter to Monet's already busy schedule. Between divorce preparations, libel lawsuits, and her other responsibilities, Alexis' warning about taking on too much work may be something Monet should consider. With so many cases and personal connections overlapping in Port Charles, there's no telling how complicated these situations could become.
Meanwhile, Serena watches Jason carefully review a document she's anxious for him to sign. Jason refuses to sign anything until he's read every word, and he quickly sees through Serena's ploy. Serena later arrives early at Deception and discovers her mother is already there, setting out pastries for a meeting with Jason. Tracy also realizes Lucy previously attempted to take over Deception and asks Jason what Lucy tried to do. With everything happening at the company, Jason is making sure he knows exactly what he's being asked to sign before agreeing to anything.
Molly's Career Opportunity and Trouble at GH
Molly visits Alexis' office and helps her design a home library that Cody is supposed to build. Later, Cody brings in food for Molly and the horses and assures her that changing the wood-frame design for Alexis' library won't be a problem. Cody notices that something is bothering Molly and asks what's wrong. She reveals that she's received a great job offer, but there's one problem: the position is in Chicago. The opportunity sounds promising, but accepting it would mean making a significant change in her life.
Meanwhile, Tracy heads to the stables to check in with Cody before taking Hades out for her morning horseback ride. Cody asks for the holiday off, but Tracy denies his request. At General Hospital, Elizabeth and Felicia discuss the staff party held at the Brown Dog. Elizabeth enjoyed herself, although she acknowledges that some people didn't have such a good time. The two later meet with Stella in the conference room, where Stella tells them there's an ongoing problem at the hospital that needs to be corrected.
After the meeting with Stella, Felicia, and Elizabeth, Britt is surprised to discover Lucas sitting in an examining room looking hungover and giving himself an IV. Meanwhile, Elizabeth struggles with the hospital's technology while trying to schedule Deanna, but the system keeps giving her an error message. Dante approaches the nurses' station and suggests she might be distracted. Between the staff concerns, scheduling problems, and Lucas trying to recover from whatever happened the night before, there's plenty happening at GH beyond the usual medical emergencies.
Ava Faces Questions About Brennan
Ava shows Trina the magnificent gifts they received from Joel Sartori and suggests they should host another showing of his photographic artwork. Later, Ava is sitting alone at the Metro Court restaurant when Detective Fitzpatrick arrives, and she invites him to join her. However, their conversation takes a serious turn when Fitzpatrick reveals that two witnesses identified Ava as the last person to speak with Jack Brennan on the night he disappeared. He wants to know what they discussed, putting Ava in an uncomfortable position.
Ava later sends Drew an urgent request to meet her at the gallery concerning a police investigation. Drew arrives to find out what she wants to discuss, while questions surrounding Brennan's disappearance continue to develop. With witnesses placing Ava in Brennan's company before he vanished, it's understandable why the investigation has her attention. Whether she has information that could help explain what happened remains to be seen.
Around Port Charles
Jordan nervously paces while awaiting a meeting concerning facial reconstruction surgery, and Michael tries to calm her down. Elsewhere, Josslyn asks Hudson whether they've selected a contractor for the pier upgrades, but he tells her they're still taking bids. Hudson later meets with Sonny at the Port Charles Grill, adding another conversation to Sonny's already busy week. With the pier project still developing and questions surrounding the Pentonville attacks, Sonny and Josslyn both have important matters to sort out.
This week brought plenty of developments, from Britt enjoying a new romance to Trina dealing with an admirer who knows far too much about her personal life. Sonny continues trying to clear his name, Valentin is furious about losing Wyndemere, and Ava finds herself answering questions about Jack Brennan's disappearance. Meanwhile, divorce proceedings, lawsuits, and Molly's career opportunity could lead to some significant changes for several Port Charles residents. There's certainly no shortage of unfinished business as another week begins on General Hospital.
