'Star Trek: Strange New Worlds' Season 3 Teaser Hints at Murder Mystery

We finally have a teaser for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and it could not be better. We also know that the new season will be dropping sometime this summer thanks to Paramount Plus giving a sneak peek.

The teaser was full of retro looks from the 70s, giving the vibe of the original series that took us the final frontier. The costumes look foxy baby with a hint at a murder mystery. The teaser was also Kirk heavy, (now all the scenes could be from the season premiere to be fair) indicating he may be playing a bigger role this season. He does eventually have to take over as Captain of the Enterprise. Will Pike retire or be killed off is the bigger question.

We also got a glimpse into some romantic relationships. Spock and Chapel have definitely progressed in their relationship. Uhura seemed to be enjoying her companion at a bar and is the doctor going to be getting some attention this season as well because he is long overdue for a little tender, love and care. Anyone else still holding out hope for a Spock and Uhura romance per the films or am I on an island alone here?

Kirk and Scotty building on their friendship is all I needed to see to let me know that the series is gearing up for the iconic crew of the Enterprise to take us even further. One of the more fun storylines last season was the crossover with the animated series set in the same universe, Star Trek: Lower Decks which has concluded.
