The Lioness team is back, and things are looking more dangerous than ever. Paramount+ has officially released the Lioness Season 3 trailer, giving fans their first glimpse at the next chapter of Taylor Sheridan’s hit espionage thriller. Returning with bigger stakes, global threats, and plenty of secrets waiting to surface, the upcoming season promises to put Joe McNamara and her team through their most challenging mission yet.
Lioness Season 3 premieres Sunday, August 2, exclusively on Paramount+, and the newly released trailer teases a story filled with hidden networks, international operatives, and personal betrayals that push the team into unfamiliar territory. If you thought Joe had already been through enough, well… apparently the universe had other plans.
The official trailer brings back Oscar® winner Zoe Saldaña as Joe, the fierce and determined operative at the center of the series. This season, Joe finds herself struggling to balance her dangerous career with her personal life as new threats begin closing in from every direction.
Nicole Kidman returns as Kaitlyn Meade, alongside Michael Kelly as Westfield, as the team faces a mission where trust becomes harder to find and every move carries consequences. The trailer hints that familiar strategies may no longer be enough as enemies begin operating in ways the Lioness team has never faced before.
The Season 3 storyline expands the world of Lioness, taking the series into a larger global conflict. According to the official synopsis, hidden networks, foreign operatives, and betrayals collide as Joe confronts threats that reach beyond the battlefield and into her own life. The trailer keeps plenty of details under wraps, but it is clear the series is raising the pressure for its next mission.
Joining Saldaña, Kidman, and Kelly, Lioness Season 3 features an impressive ensemble cast including Oscar winner Morgan Freeman, Laysla De Oliveira, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Genesis Rodriguez, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinbill, Hannah Love Lanier, and Ian Bohen.
Created by Taylor Sheridan, Lioness continues his lineup of character-driven dramas featuring complex heroes, high-risk situations, and stories where the personal stakes are just as intense as the mission itself. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, with Sheridan serving as an executive producer alongside David C. Glasser, Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Jill Wagner, David Lemanowicz, Geyer Kosinski, and Keith Cox.
For fans who have been waiting for more of Joe’s story, the countdown is officially on. The Lioness Season 3 trailer delivers a first look at a season packed with danger, deception, and the kind of impossible choices that have made the series a standout in the spy thriller genre.
Seasons One and Two of Lioness are currently available to stream on Paramount+, giving viewers plenty of time to catch up before the new mission begins. Mark your calendars — Joe and the Lioness team return August 2, and this time, the stakes are higher than ever.
