Lili Taylor Joins The Beast in Me Season 2 as Aggie's Stepmother

The Beast in Me is expanding its cast for Season 2, and it looks like Aggie Wiggs is about to have plenty of family drama to deal with. Lili Taylor has joined Netflix's psychological thriller as Fiona, the stepmother of Claire Danes' character, adding another familiar face to the show's growing ensemble.
Taylor joins the previously announced John Goodman, who will portray Aggie's father, Jack. With both her father and stepmother entering the picture, the upcoming season appears ready to dig deeper into Aggie's family history, although Netflix is keeping specific plot details under wraps.
Fans will remember that the first season followed Aggie, a grieving author whose fascination with her mysterious neighbor, Nile Jarvis (Matthew Rhys), pulled her into a dangerous web of secrets and suspicion. The series originally arrived as a limited drama, but its success convinced Netflix there was more story worth telling.
Taylor brings plenty of experience to the role, with credits including The Conjuring, Outer Range, and Daredevil: Born Again. The three-time Emmy nominee will also appear as Mags Flanagan in the upcoming film The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.
The second season will see Howard Gordon and Daniel Pearle return as co-showrunners, with Danes also serving as an executive producer. The first season earned 21 Emmy nominations, including recognition for Danes, while Rhys took home the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series.
With Goodman and Taylor now playing key members of Aggie's family, there's plenty of room for old secrets, complicated relationships, and a few uncomfortable reunions. After everything Aggie endured in Season 1, dealing with her own relatives might turn out to be another headache entirely.
Netflix has not announced a premiere date for The Beast in Me Season 2. The first season is currently available to stream.
