Joshua Jackson Joins Your Friends & Neighbors Season 3

smiling man in blue

Apple TV knows exactly how to keep us hooked. Just as we are recovering from the suburban drama of the Your Friends & Neighbors Season 2 finale, the network dropped a casting bomb. Joshua Jackson is officially joining Your Friends & Neighbors Season 3 in a major recurring role. Yes, girl, our favorite millennial heartthrob is moving into Westmont Village, and we are not okay.

Following a season that kept everyone on the edge of their seats, this casting news is the perfect teaser for what lies ahead. Jackson joins a stellar ensemble anchored by Jon Hamm, Amanda Peet, and Olivia Munn. He is also tagging along with fellow newcomer Michelle Monaghan, who was recently announced as a series regular for the upcoming season.

The Shady Suburbs Just Got Crowded

For those needing a quick recap: Jon Hamm plays Andrew "Coop" Cooper, a disgraced hedge fund manager who turns to robbing his wealthy neighbors to support his lifestyle. Whew, talk about midlife crisis theater. While Season 2 saw Coop tangled up with a billionaire neighbor, who met a very messy, very fatal end just before the finale, Season 3 needs a fresh face to stir up trouble.

Enter Joshua Jackson. While Apple TV is keeping his exact character details under lock and key, we know he is slated for a "major recurring" character. Given the show's track record, he will likely play someone who threatens to blow up Coop’s secret criminal enterprise. Jackson has perfected the art of playing charming men with dark secrets, making him an incredible addition to this elite neighborhood of liars.

Let’s be real: watching Jon Hamm play a desperate thief is already top-tier television. But putting Joshua Jackson in his orbit? That is pure casting genius. Jackson has been on a hot streak with gripping dramas, and seeing him clash with Hamm’s increasingly stressed-out Coop is going to be electric.

Production for Season 3 is already underway in New York. With Jonathan Tropper still running the show, fans can expect the upcoming episodes to deliver the same biting humor and high-stakes tension that made the first two seasons irresistible. Not us counting down the days until the new episodes drop on Apple TV.
