Is Memory of a Killer New Tonight? Put Down the Remote, Because Fox Just Benched Your Favorite Obsession

Updated: Mar 11

Man in a white shirt looks concerned in a hallway, talking to another person in a blue jacket. The setting is dimly lit and appears tense.

If you settled onto your couch tonight, snacks in hand, ready to watch the moral decay of your favorite hitman, I have some bad news that’s going to go down smoother than a room-temperature green juice. If you’re asking yourself, "Is Memory of a Killer airing tonight?" the answer is a resounding, frustrating "no."

In a move that reminds us all why linear television is a cruel mistress, Fox has hit the pause button on our favorite Monday night trauma-fest. Instead your screen is currently occupied by the World Baseball Classic. Specifically, a showdown between the US and Mexico that Fox is betting will draw more eyeballs than Angelo’s latest existential crisis.

Why the Delay? (Blame the Bats)

The network schedule shuffle is a classic TV trope, but that doesn't make it any less annoying when you’re waiting for the fallout of last week’s cliffhanger. Memory of a Killer has been the breakout hit of the spring, blending high-stakes procedural elements with the kind of psychological unraveling usually reserved for prestige cable.

But tonight, the crack of the bat has officially drowned out the sounds of Angelo's victims. The World Baseball Classic is a major ratings draw, and Fox isn’t about to let a little thing like a serialized murder mystery-ish get in the way of sports-induced ad revenue.

When Does Memory of a Killer Return?

Wipe those tears away, because the hiatus is mercifully brief. Memory of a Killer returns with Episode 7, "Dr. Parks," on Monday, March 16, 2026.

The show will reclaim its usual 9:00 PM ET / 8:00 PM CT time slot. For those of you who have long since ditched the antenna, you can catch the episode on Hulu starting Tuesday morning, March 17.

What to Expect Next

When the show finally crawls back onto our screens next week, things are expected to get messy. Episode 7 is rumored to dive deep into the backstory of the elusive Dr. Parks, the figure Angelo believes holds the key to his fractured memory. After the "Uncle Jacob" revelation in Episode 6, the stakes have never been higher or more confusing.

The silver lining? This one-week break gives you plenty of time to keep it locked here at The TV Cave and re-read our deep-dive recaps. If you haven't caught up on the first six episodes, consider this a forced opportunity to do your homework. Trust us, with only four episodes left in the season, you’re going to want your wits about you for the finale on April 6.

So, for tonight, find something else to do. Read a book, talk to your family, or, god forbid, actually watch the baseball game. Just don’t forget to set your DVR for next week.

Do you think the one-week break will kill the show's momentum, or are you just happy for the extra time to figure out who "Dr. Parks" actually is?
