Two women in black dresses sit on a floral sofa in an elegant room. They look serious. A table holds champagne, water, and snacks.

The Season Finale of Industry Season 4 is upon us, and wow, the writers have absolutely taken this story to a new level that I don’t know if we can come back from.

We see the fallout of Tender and what that is going to lead to for everyone. Harper, Kwabena, and Sweetpea secure their gain from their Tender stocks and make a good chunk of change. Harper seems a little distant and not overjoyed as Kwabena and Sweetpea are excited and cracking jokes. Harper steps off to the side and leaves a voicemail for Eric, she asks him to call her back, then tears up a little. I literally teared up during this scene, it was crazy to see Harper finally reach one of her biggest goals and you could visually see the weight of Eric leaving and everything else that is on her chest souring the moment.

On the Yasmin front, we see her at home with Henry. She tells him that she no longer loves him and she wants a divorce. Henry is insisting that they can make it work and he doesn’t know how he could possibly do this without her. Yas remains stoic, but firm, and is sympathetic without faltering on her stance. Whitney is in hiding and to the public, Henry is taking the blame for the fraud and downfall of Tender. Whitney tells him that there’s cash stowed away in his house and he needs to use that to get to him so they can be safe. Henry ends up going, but turns down Whitney’s offer and finally stands up against him instead of doing whatever he wants.

Then we get to probably the most devastating moment of the season, Yas asks Harper to come to Paris for this party she is hosting. Harper is excited and ready, when she arrives, everything slowly starts to go downhill. Essentially, Yasmin has become who Whitney and her father were. She’s hosting parties for these corrupt, racist, and conservative high-profile people and hiring these barely legal or underage girls to sleep with the men so that she can get dirt on them for blackmail. Harper is taken aback, she pleads and begs for Yasmin to just come with her and let this all go.

Yasmin seems to want to join Harper, but, she says that she feels important here and she has a purpose, which leaves Harper alone again. I think that was the final nail in the coffin for Yasmin’s character, I don’t think that there’s any redemption or coming back from this (as of now). I know I might change my mind somehow in Season 5 before the show ends, but I can’t even imagine how they could change or right this wrong. Also, the acting in this scene was beautiful all around. The subtleties, the emotions, and delivery were perfect and as much as it broke my Yasharper heart, it was a very well done scene.

Overall, a devastatingly fitting finale for Season 4 of Industry and left me wanting more. I’m ready for Season 5 and curious about how the writers are going to close everyone’s story out. I truly feel like it’s going to come down to who is able to come out on top and be the last person standing in this industry, or be free from all of this and break the cycle. Regardless, I’m sure that it will be an intense emotional rollercoaster and I will be sat through it all. I would give this episode a 5/5 star rating.
