Hulu Cancels Love Overboard After One Season — Alex Cooper’s Dating Show Is Officially Overboard

Six friends pose smiling on a yacht deck in swimsuits, with blue ocean and sky behind them.

Well, that romance didn't exactly have a happily ever after.

Hulu has canceled Love Overboard after just one season, meaning the yacht-based dating reality series will not be returning for Season 2. The series was executive produced by Alex Cooper, the creator and host of Call Her Daddy, and featured former Bachelorette star Gabby Windey as host.

Love Overboard premiered on Hulu on March 26, 2026, with all nine episodes becoming available to stream. The series put 22 singles aboard a luxury yacht as they searched for romance while navigating the very specific complications that come with dating while living together on a boat.

The premise certainly had plenty going for it. Put a group of singles on a yacht, throw romance into the mix and add a few reality TV complications, and you would think there would be enough material to keep things sailing for another season.

Unfortunately, Hulu has decided to pull the plug.

The cancellation is another reminder that having a recognizable name attached to a reality series doesn't automatically guarantee a long run. Cooper's involvement brought plenty of attention to the project, thanks largely to the massive success of Call Her Daddy, but Love Overboard ultimately wasn't able to secure a second-season renewal.

For fans who actually boarded the Love Overboard ship, this is obviously disappointing news. There won't be another season of singles looking for love, competing for access to the yacht's amenities and trying to figure out whether their connections are genuine or simply a product of being stuck together at sea.

And yes, the title now feels a little too appropriate. Love Overboard has officially gone overboard at Hulu. While the reality dating series is finished after one season, Cooper continues to have projects in development, so this certainly isn't the end of her television ambitions. Hulu's decision is specific to Love Overboard, leaving the door open for future projects from Cooper's Unwell Productions.

For now, though, this particular dating voyage has reached the end of the line.
