General Hospital Weekly Recap: Nina Snaps, Jason Comes Home, and Drew’s Miraculous Recovery Changes Everything

Smiling woman in a white coat talks to a man in a dark shirt indoors, with an ABC logo in the corner.

When it comes to dramatic weeks in Port Charles, General Hospital really said, "Hold our Metro Court martini." Between attempted murder, shocking recoveries, emotional reunions, unexpected romance, and the arrival of a mysterious new doctor with ties to several familiar faces, this week delivered plenty for fans to unpack.

The week kicked off with Nina reaching her breaking point. After once again trying to reach Jack Brennan and getting nowhere, she found herself pushed to the edge when Drew confronted her. The confrontation escalated in spectacular fashion as Nina shoved Drew into the Quartermaine boathouse lake before collapsing in tears, immediately realizing the magnitude of what she'd done. Meanwhile, Valentin made a visit to Brennan at the WSB with an intriguing proposal involving Brennan's missing black box, proving that the spy games in Port Charles are far from over.

Thankfully for Drew, his story wasn't ending at the bottom of the lake. Gio happened to head down to the boathouse for one last swim before moving back to Sonny's house and ended up pulling Drew from the water, unknowingly becoming the hero of the day. Nina could hardly believe Drew survived, and before long she, Brennan, Drew, and Willow found themselves making an agreement that included one very important detail: Willow and Drew would fast-track their divorce. Considering everything that's happened between them, it was probably the healthiest decision either of them has made in months.

Of course, Drew's miraculous recovery raised more than a few eyebrows. Elizabeth was completely speechless when he casually walked through General Hospital looking far healthier than anyone expected. Felicia celebrated the good news, but Elizabeth couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't adding up. That mystery is clearly only beginning, especially with the arrival of Dr. Tristan Roberts. His introduction immediately became interesting when he came face-to-face with Brennan, someone he clearly knew and definitely didn't want to treat. If that wasn't enough, Jason recognized Tristan as the man from the mysterious plane, making it clear this newcomer is carrying plenty of secrets into Port Charles.

Speaking of Jason, his return home brought some of the week's biggest emotional moments. Britt was stunned when Jason walked into General Hospital, marking another reunion fans have been waiting to see. Back at the Quartermaine mansion, Jason received a much warmer welcome than many expected, with the entire family, including Ned and Olivia, gathering to celebrate his return. Even Carly couldn't hide how happy she was to have one of her closest allies back after Sonny stopped by to ask a few questions about her "special friend." Jason's homecoming may have been heartwarming, but it also led to one of the week's biggest surprises when he later informed Sonny that he no longer wanted to work for him. That's a friendship and partnership worth keeping an eye on.

While one relationship came to an end, another appeared ready to begin. Ava and Ethan spent much of the week circling each other with enough flirting to make everyone around them notice. Their poolside conversations became increasingly personal before Trina unintentionally interrupted what looked like an inevitable first kiss. Ava eventually admitted to Trina that she was developing feelings for Ethan, making this one of the more unexpected romances currently brewing in Port Charles. Unfortunately, that happiness didn't last long. Ethan ultimately decided to leave town after learning Phoebe's biological father had arrived in Port Charles, believing leaving was the safest way to protect the little girl. His emotional goodbye added another bittersweet chapter to the week.

Brook Lynn and Chase, meanwhile, continued building their family with Phoebe. Between Gio singing to the adorable little girl, adoption paperwork moving forward, and Ethan wishing them well before leaving town, there was plenty of heart mixed into all the drama. Michael also met with Brook Lynn regarding Deception business while privately worrying that Drew and Willow's divorce could create even more problems for the Quartermaine family. Tracy certainly wasn't about to let Drew forget his standing either, quickly reinstating his ban from Quartermaine property once he was back on his feet. Tracy never misses an opportunity to remind someone who's in charge, and we kind of expect nothing less.

Elsewhere around Port Charles, Trina warned Kai that "change is coming" after learning Drew had survived, believing the latest attempt on his life may finally close one chapter for everyone involved. Willow found herself scrambling to find legal representation after Alexis declined to handle her divorce because of the obvious custody conflict involving Scout. Michael wasted no time meeting with Willow to discuss custody of their own children now that Drew was back in the picture, proving that one recovery has ripple effects across multiple families.

Family continued to take center stage throughout the week. Marshall surprised Curtis and Trina while visiting Baby Desmond, later encouraging Curtis to avoid dragging his issues with Isaiah into court if possible. Stella and Tracy enjoyed another memorable tea session while catching up on the latest Quartermaine drama and Maxie's move to Australia. Lucy also softened toward Maxie after an emotional reunion with Serena Baldwin reminded everyone that Port Charles always finds a way to bring families back together.

The supernatural storyline continued creeping into the background as Peter August's ghost refused to leave Anna alone. Peter relentlessly pushed Anna to blame Britt and Cassius while insisting Britt needed to die to end the Faison curse once and for all. Anna refused to entertain the idea, but Peter's increasingly disturbing appearances continue raising questions about where this storyline is headed and just how much of what Anna is experiencing is real.

The week wrapped with several moments that left fans talking. Britt agreed to work alongside Dr. Tristan Roberts despite their uncomfortable history, Jason immediately recognized the mysterious physician from the plane, Anna watched in disbelief as Valentin and Carly shared a kiss, and Drew made a dramatic public appearance at the Metro Court Pool that left nearly everyone speechless. Just when it seemed things couldn't get any more complicated, Ethan left town, Jason officially walked away from Sonny's organization, and Port Charles found itself heading into another week filled with unanswered questions.

If this week proved anything, it's that General Hospital is setting the stage for several major storylines at once. Jason's return is already changing long-standing relationships, Drew's unbelievable recovery has everyone suspicious, Nina's impulsive decision continues to create fallout, and Dr. Tristan Roberts looks poised to become one of Port Charles' most intriguing new mysteries. Something tells us next week won't be slowing down anytime soon.
