General Hospital Weekly Recap: Jordan Gets a Surprise as Sonny and Turner’s Secret Is Exposed

General Hospital had no shortage of drama this week, but the biggest mess belonged to Charlotte, whose determination to help Danny nearly crossed a line she could never take back.

Charlotte’s plan to force Drew into letting Danny see Scout involved hiding in Drew’s car and creating compromising footage she could use against him. Thankfully, Rocco and Scout got there before Drew did, and Carly quickly realized just how dangerous Charlotte’s little scheme could have become. Valentin was furious when he learned the truth, confiscating Charlotte’s phone and deciding that her increasingly reckless behavior with Danny had gone too far.

By week’s end, even Valentin had to admit Lulu had been right about their daughter getting in over her head. Now, boarding school is on the table as a way to separate Charlotte from both Drew and Danny. Considering Charlotte’s reaction to simply losing her phone, something tells us that conversation is going to go swimmingly.

Meanwhile, Chase and Brook Lynn’s marriage continued to crumble. New attorney Monet Mitchell arrived in Port Charles to represent Chase, although Chase admitted he isn’t even sure he actually wants a divorce. That didn’t stop him from moving back onto the Quartermaine property after Monet advised him it could help his position regarding Phoebe.

Brook Lynn certainly noticed the timing. Chase insisted he returned to be closer to Phoebe, but learning that his lawyer helped make the decision did absolutely nothing to calm the situation. Michael, meanwhile, tried recruiting Josslyn to help catch Chase and Willow getting too close, hoping it would strengthen Brook Lynn’s custody position. Josslyn shut that idea down and pointed out that Michael was starting to sound an awful lot like Drew. Whew. When Josslyn is the one telling you that you’ve gone too far, maybe reevaluate the plan.

Curtis also found himself in serious trouble at Pentonville. After being warned not to return to his cell, Curtis realized the threat was actually aimed at Sidwell and urged him to seek protective custody. Sidwell refused, and when several inmates attacked him, Curtis stepped in to stop the beating. That good deed immediately put Curtis in their crosshairs, and he was attacked too.

Elsewhere, Anna was allowed to remain in Port Charles and continue treatment after the WSB decided against taking her away. She later apologized to Britt for what happened between them, with the two women finding some common ground over the damage Cesar Faison caused in both of their lives.

The week also introduced Monet as Jordan’s younger sister and chile, those two have some history. Monet revealed she’ll be staying in Port Charles while working as an attorney with Miller and Davis, meaning Chase’s new lawyer is clearly sticking around for more than one storyline.

And while Jordan was dealing with her sister, she also discovered Sonny and ADA Justine Turner’s secret relationship after catching them kissing. Turner is preparing for a possible run for district attorney now that Robert Scorpio reportedly won’t seek reelection, so being romantically involved with Sonny Corinthos could become one very inconvenient campaign issue.

Between Charlotte possibly being shipped off, Curtis making enemies behind bars and Chase and Brook Lynn inching closer to an actual divorce, Port Charles gave us plenty to carry into next week.
