Euphoria Season 3 Trailer Dropped: HBO’s Glitter-Drenched Spiral Returns With Redemption on Its Mind

HBO has officially opened the gates, and yes, chaos is once again pouring out. The Euphoria Season 3 trailer has dropped, ending years of will-they-won’t-they speculation and reminding everyone that no one does stylish emotional devastation quite like this show. Equal parts hypnotic and harrowing, the trailer makes one thing clear: Euphoria isn’t growing up quietly it’s leveling up, cinematically and thematically, and dragging its characters (and viewers) along for the ride.

Created, written, directed, and executive produced by Sam Levinson, the Emmy nominee and DGA Award winner returns fully in control, partnering once again with A24 to deliver the eight-episode third season of HBO’s pop culture juggernaut. Euphoria Season 3 debuts Sunday, April 12, from 9:00–10:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO, with episodes streaming weekly on HBO Max. Mark the calendar, cancel your plans, prepare your group chats.

The trailer teases a darker, more introspective chapter, backed by a deceptively simple logline: a group of childhood friends wrestle with the virtue of faith, the possibility of redemption, and the problem of evil. Casual! Rue’s voice lingers over images that feel heavier than past seasons, less reckless euphoria, more consequence. The glitter is still there, but it’s smudged now.

Zendaya, an Emmy winner and the show’s emotional core, leads a stacked Season 3 cast that includes Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Eric Dane, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Toby Wallace. Returning guest stars like Colman Domingo and Dominic Fike are joined by a jaw-dropping list of new faces, including Sharon Stone, ROSALÍA, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Marshawn Lynch, and yes Trisha Paytas. No notes. Only questions.

Visually, Season 3 is pushing television forward yet again. Shot on a brand-new KODAK motion picture film stock in both 35mm and 65mm, Euphoria becomes the first narrative TV series to use 65mm film at this scale. The expanded image mirrors the story itself, these characters are no longer confined to high school hallways, and the world around them is bigger, messier, and far less forgiving.

With 25 Emmy® nominations and nine wins across its first two seasons and status as one of the most-watched series in HBO history, the pressure is real. But if the Euphoria Season 3 trailer is any indication, Levinson and company aren’t playing it safe. They’re leaning into discomfort, beauty, and big existential questions.

Redemption might be on the table. Peace? Don’t count on it. Either way, Euphoria is back and TV just got a lot louder. Stay tuned.
