Book Review: Gloves Off by Stephanie Archer

Synopsis: Alexei Volkov’s status in the NHL is up in the air, as is his and his parents citizenship.

Dr. Georgia Greene has two loves in her life. Her career and her shoes. Neither believe in marriage but that’s not going to stop them from an arrangement that will benefit them both. If only they can make it thru the next few months without killing each other.

Thoughts: This was a cute and fun story featuring two highly successful people who can’t stand one another but have no choice but to rely on the other for what they need.  I love Dr. Greene’s boss babe energy. She’s bringing sexiness to her profession and not caring who has something to say about it, including Alexei. Her dedication to her “girls” and her adorable pets gives her a warmth to combat the ice princess, Alexei thinks she is.  Alexei’s hard earned rep as a tough enforcer for the NHL is offset by his caring personality. He takes care of his own, from his parents, his team and even his hated wife.  This was another great addition to the Vancouver Storm series. Lots of laughs and enough spice to melt an ice rink.

LOVED= 5 Stars. A new fav. Will be talking about every chance I get. 

ENJOYED= 4-3 Stars.  It wasn’t a life changer but I would recommend.

Puffy Cheeto- No Spice. 

Crunchy Cheeto- Closed Door/Fade to Black

Flamin Hot Cheeto- Spicy. A few detailed scenes. 

Takis- Erotica. With more mature themes.
