Book Review: Love Fool by Cynthia A Rodriguez

Title:  Love Fool (ARC)

Author: Cynthia A Rodriguez

Genre:  Dark Romance

Rating: Loved

Spice: Flamin Hot Cheetos

Synopsis: Taina is on a mission to exact the justice she was denied and nothing will get in her way. Not even love. Emiliano has spent his life learning to tightrope walk along the lines of law and justice.

Sweet revenge isn't the only thing Taina is getting close to. Will she be able to keep her eye on the prize or will this vaquero make a fool of her heart?

Thoughts: This story was so good, I lost sleep. Between the unaliving, spice and overall “Awww” factor of Emiliano, this was a very enjoyable read. I stayed up later than I should have trying to read it because it was so gripping. The differences between the two families dynamics was jarring and another reminder that looks can be deceiving. While on the outside Taina has it all, the perfect life, the perfect family…the inside is a chaotic mess.  Her sassy defiance of Emiliano, and the way she’s not scared of him made me love her instantly. Her coping mechanisms may not be the healthiest but I can respect it. She’s on a mission and she won’t let anyone stop her. The things she’s willing to do, in order to get the info and assistance she needs, is Boss Lady approved!

Emiliano is a masterful blend of red and green flags (just like the Mexican flag he reps). This man can blend in with the cartel just as easily as he does in the pew of a church with his mama. The ease with which he handles Taina shows not only his love for her, but the respect he has for her. I could go on and on but really you should just read this book for yourself.
