Apple TV is teeing up another prestige thriller for early 2026. During its 2026 Press Day, the streamer unveiled the first teaser for Imperfect Women, a new limited series starring and executive produced by Emmy winners Elisabeth Moss and Kerry Washington.
The eight-episode psychological thriller will debut globally on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, with the first two episodes, followed by weekly releases every Wednesday through April 29.
Based on Araminta Hall’s novel of the same name, Imperfect Women explores a crime that fractures a decades-long friendship between three women. As the investigation unfolds, the series digs into guilt and retribution, love and betrayal, and the uneasy truth that even the closest relationships may not be what they seem.
Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale, Shining Girls) and Washington (Scandal, Little Fires Everywhere) lead the series and serve as executive producers. The show is created for television by Annie Weisman (Physical, Based on a True Story), who also serves as showrunner.
The ensemble cast includes Kate Mara, Joel Kinnaman, Corey Stoll, Leslie Odom Jr., Audrey Zahn, Jill Wagner, Rome Flynn, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Violette Linnz, Indiana Elle, Jackson Kelly, Keith Carradine, Ana Ortiz, and Wilson Bethel.
Imperfect Women is a co-production between 20th Television and Apple Studios. Moss executive produces alongside
Lindsey McManus through Love & Squalor Pictures, which initially optioned the book. Washington executive produces via her Simpson Street banner with Pilar Savone. Author Araminta Hall and writer Kay Oyegun also executive produce.
Lesli Linka Glatter (Homeland, Love & Death) directs and executive produces episodes one, four, and five, marking another high-profile collaboration for Apple TV as it continues to build its slate of buzzy limited series.
With its stacked cast and psychologically charged premise, Imperfect Women is shaping up to be one of Apple TV’s most intriguing releases of 2026.
