It’s time to say goodbye to one of the last original The CW dramas still running, All American. After seven years of drama on the football field and questionable life choices, the final quarter is almost here.
At the American Black Film Festival in Miami this weekend, The CW dropped a sneak peek of the final season. So, let’s break down everything we know about the final season of All American.
From the official logline for season eight we know unlike past seasons that dragged out over entire school semesters, this final batch of episodes picks up six months after the previous finale and unfolds over the course of just one single week. This tight seven-day timeline will force everyone to reckon with their futures, pushing friendships and family bonds to the absolute limit.
What fans are really excited about is the return of Daniel Ezra and Samantha Logan as Spencer and Olivia, and they are currently expecting twin girls, with Olivia very noticeably far along in her pregnancy. Meanwhile, Cassius Jeremy is now in charge of the football program but not everyone is happy about how he got the job. Amina decides boarding school isn’t for her and returns with a secret.
Getting into this sneak peek shown at the festival, Jordan and Coop get real about Cassius. If you recall, he is a cousin to the Bakers and hid that fact for months. In the clip, Jordan admits that while they have bonded a bit while playing basketball, he is nowhere near ready to sweep the deception under the rug. Take a look below.
The CW is turning the show's departure into a full summer television event, splitting the final send-off into two distinct broadcast dates. It all starts on Monday, June 22, with an hour-long retrospective tribute featuring new sit-down interviews with the cast looking back at the show's biggest milestones. Then, the official final episodes kick off on Monday, July 13 at 8:00 PM ET/PT with a massive, two-hour season premiere block.
