The Last of Us has been renewed by HBO for a season 3, The TV Cave can report. Based on the popular video game, the series follows Joel (Pedro Pascal), a smuggler who somehow is responsible for escorting an immune teenager Ellie (Bella Ramsey) across a post-apocalyptic United States.  The series is set twenty years into a pandemic caused by an infection, (life imitating art here or what) which causes a person to transform into a zombie. Meanwhile society just falls apart (think Walking Dead).  The series is packed with guest stars and recurring cast members, Nico Parker, Anna Torv, Merle Dandridge, Lamar Johnson , Keivonn Montreal Woodard, Melanie Lynskey , Jeffrey Pierce, Isabela Merced Young Mazino and Gabriel Luna. The show has been a hit for HBO, and we cannot forget to mention the Game of Thrones connection between Pedro and Bella. Wish they could have met on the show, they would have gotten along perfectly.  Regarding the renewal, creator Neil Druckmann stated, “To see The Last of Us  brought to life so beautifully and faithfully has been a career highlight for me, and I am grateful for the fans’ enthusiastic and overwhelming support. The third season of Leverage: Redemption is set to drop on Amazon Prime Video on April 17 and we caught up with star Christian Kane (Eliot Spencer) about what fans can expect this new season.  Leverage: Redemption follows a team of ex-cons who steal from the uber rich out to harm those less fortunate, a modern day group of Robin Hoods if you will. After the events of the original Leverage series, t he team opens a new Leverage Consulting office in New Orleans and join forces with a crooked lawyer, Harry Wilson, played by Noah Wyle.  Eliot Spencer is described as the team's hitter. In the original series and after the ending of that series, Eliot worked with veterans and used his food truck to feed those in need. Sometimes his truck would be used to aid in the con jobs.  The past seasons have seen Kane’s Eliot deal with the issues surrounding his estranged father (played by Keith David) and of course being the team's “hitter” or muscle as mentioned. There is much more to Eliot than that however. He is a very complex character with all these different emotions he is working through. Kane teases that Eliot will always be searching for redemption so his role is to help his teammates get theirs. The scenes with his father in previous seasons gave Kane a chance to flex his dramatic chops. Especially in the episode titled “The Fractured Job.” I screened the full season and can let fans know to expect to see the unexpected.  What about working on those stunts? To Kane, it is more of a dance than stunt choreography. Something you have to take very seriously and something he is used to having done so much on other projects.  “Its tough, you’re filming anywhere from 12 to 15 hour days.” What about the news of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot? Rest assured Kane would love to revisit the character of Lindsey McDonald. And the guest stars joining the new season of Leverage: Redemption? The Bold and the Beautiful has been renewed by CBS/Paramount+ for three seasons. What does this mean for the legendary soap opera? This means fans can look forward to The Bold and the Beautiful airing thru 2027-2028 television season.  The Bold and the Beautiful follows the lives of the families in Los Angeles. The main families are the Spencers, the Logans and of course the Forresters who own and operate the fashion house Forrester Creations. The show has had some of the best storylines on daytime television. From Stephanie and Brooke’s epic feud to having one of the first trans characters in daytime, The Bold and the Beautiful has always been known to set trends.  Who does not remember Stephanie giving Brooke one of her slaps to the face. Katherine Kelly Lang is a daytime legend and has been playing Brooke Logan on the show since its first episode which aired in March 1987. Susan Flannery portrayed Stephanie Forrester until her retirement. Her last appearance was in 2023. On the show her infamous character passed away and was celebrated as the matriarch she was. Some epic love triangles have taken place on the show as well. From Brooke and Ridge to Taylor and Ridge, you just never know what you are going to get.  Now the new generation is leading the soap into the future. With popular pairings like Steffy and Finn who are always battling rivals Hope and Liam. From controversies to praise, fans cannot get enough of The Bold and the Beautiful and now they do not have to worry about the show slowing down.  For the past 12 years the show has been nominated for Outstanding Daytime Drama at the Daytime Emmy Awards and has won the prestigious award three times but has earned a total of 77 Daytime Emmys.  For now, Bradley Bell still serves as head writer and executive producer. Paramount+ has renewed Colin From Accounts for a third season, The TV Cave can report. If you have never heard of Colin From Accounts, do not feel bad. The series is an Australian rom-com that Paramount+ is graciously letting Americans watch. Written and executive-produced by Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer who are set to return for the new season.  The show stars Patrick Brammall also known as Gordon ( Evil ) and Harriet Dyer also known as Ashley, ( The Invisible Man ) as an unlikely couple that found each other due to caring for an injured dog named Colin (From Accounts). They came up with the name. The cast rounds out with Michale Logo (Brett) and Genevieve Hegney (Chiara) as co-workers of Gordons. Emma Harvie plays Ashley’s friend Megan and playing Ashley’s annoying mother Lynelle is Helen Thomson. Brammall released a statement regarding the renewal stating, “ We’re VERY excited to bring you Season 3 of our show,” Brammall and Dyer said in a statement. “To be honest, with the way we ended Season 2, it would have been weird not to make a third, so here we are. We promise we won’t leave you hanging like that again. Probably.” He is referring to the season 2 cliffhanger where his character Gordon proposes to Ashley and Ashley hits him with a “NAH.” She was not that callous, but you get the picture, she said no. To top it off, this happened in front of guests of Megan’s wedding. This is why you absolutely do not use someone else’s wedding to propose to your significant other. Cook them a nice romantic dinner at home, in front of no one so that way if they say no, you are not completely humiliated.  No word yet on when filming begins or a release date for the new season.  Are you excited about the renewal? This episode continues from last week where Will goes undercover in the Olas Collective Institute, a cult masquerading as a self-help training organization to find Jade’s missing baby. Will boarded a bus with other lost souls, relinquished all their electronics, were blindfolded and transported to a remote facility in the woods, Scary Already. He receives a baptismal-like dunking in water to begin his indoctrination. He later talks with Rain, the Collective Leader, as she personally teaches him what the difference is between shame and guilt.  Will's talk with one of the exiting members triggers his investigative curiosity more especially after witnessing Rain getting one of her enforcers to rush the member away from him.  At Ormewood's home, Jeremy has his first meeting with his handler, Faith, his Mom. She ensures he’s not bugged before they talk. Jeremy gives her all the information he collected on Rafael. She tries to talk him into running, but he refuses. Jeremy’s taking responsibility for his actions, and promises to fix his troubles. A quick search rewards Will, as he finds the missing baby, River. He gets a saliva DNA sample to prove his identity, and leaves the sample at the designated drop area for drone pickup. Will goes into the woods and checks in with a worried Amanda. His surreptitious investigation uncovers a lot of hidden intrigue, brainwashing, a recent dead body, child abductions, torture and abusive tactics practiced on the Collective’s members. He discovers things are not as they seem.  Finn catches Will on the phone, but doesn't turn him in after he gives her a story about checking on Betty. Finn shows him her pet rabbit. She gives Will her gun and urges him to shoot. Will has terrible flashbacks. Finn destroys Will's phone to keep from getting in trouble. There's a weird way they handle those that break the rules and it happens in "the barn”. Will is captured by the Inner Circle members, and drugged by Rain. Angie continues her romance with Dr. Scott. Amanda notified her they lost contact with Will and she immediately got ready to leave. Scott asks about her relationship with Will and she tells him they're best friends.  Faith and Ormewood get to the hospital in time to save Jade. One of the Olaf Collectives’ Inner Circle tried to kill her. Angie later talks to Jade for more information. Rain brainwashed her and took her baby. She identified the man, Ike Cass, who came to kill her. Faith and Ormewood interrogate him. He confesses to being the person who killed two of the Olaf Collective’s members, earlier. Meanwhile, Will frees himself, but he begins a wild hallucinogenic trip from the ‘water’ Rain forced him to drink. He imagines hearing a Donna Summer song, and sees Betty who talks with a British accent. This is getting bizarre because Will is dressed in a disco suit and begins to dance well. Faith shows up, they dance, then Angie appears. They all dance into the partying squad room, where even Amanda’s dancing. He sees Marion and they salsa, then Will and Ormewood do a bro dance. Everyone's partying! They suddenly all disappear. He hears Rain’s voice calling him a killer, and he's now holding a gun. He returns to the barn.  ERIKA CHRISTENSEN, ROBIN WEIGERT (Disney/Daniel Delgado Jr.) In the conference room, Angie confirms the baby is Jade's. Amanda says it's time to get Will out. They plan a raid.  In the Atlanta police station, Ormewood goes to get information from Cass. He breaks down and the brainwashing begins to wear off. He gives Ormewood all the facility’s details. Ormewood tells The Team how the Olas facility is set up, and they find a way in. Angie, Faith and Ormewood separate to raid the place. Angie frees Will who’s down in a literal hole. He’s still hallucinating. Ormewood and Faith find and achieve their objectives. Faith takes all of the kids.  Angie is still having problems with Will. He tells her he loves her repeatedly, gives her a passionate kiss, and tells her he was going to ask her to marry him. She gets him out, but they hear Naomi screaming. They go to save her. Rain and her Inner Circle are dunking Naomi, almost drowning her. Will breaks in and fights to save her. He tells Rain it's over. She tries to get Finn to kill Will, and there’s a standoff. Ormewood rushes in and fires a shot in the air. Chaos breaks out and the agents finally subdue the Olas Collective. Angie cuffs Rain.  At the GBI, Angie updates Will on River and Jade. He apologizes to her for what he said when he was high. They are interrupted by Scott. He tells Will to get himself checked out and walks off with Angie.  Will records his case notes when Faith comes to update him on Jeremy, and Amanda tells him about Finn and Naomi. He's happy for them. Amanda says he did good. Will and Faith unite to save Jeremy.  Will returns home to find Betty in a cone. Nico tells him she had an operation and is miffed at him. He apologizes to Betty. She jumps into his lap and gives him a kiss. This was an exciting episode. A lot was happening and this time all the team worked together on their two previous cases. The scenes flowed in a transparent transition thanks to the great writing and excellent acting. The disco and salsa squad room hallucination was unexpected and lighthearted. Betty in a cone and upset at Will was so cute. Looking forward to the next episode where they save Jeremy.

Gordon Ramsey, chef icon and the producers of MasterChef have decided to shake things up a bit with the judging panel for Season 15 of the hit reality tv cooking competition that crowns the best home cook in America each year. With spin-offs all over the country and even getting kids in the mix with MasterChef Jr., the series definitely has staying power.  It was announced that for Season 15, pro chef Tiffany Derry will be joining the judging panel. Also announced that the theme of the season will be Dynamic Duos with family members and friends pairing up to win the title of MasterChef.  Derry who has appeared on “Top Chef,” “Bobby’s Triple Threat,” “Bar Rescue,” “Worst Cooks in America,” “Cutthroat Kitchen,” “Chopped,” “Bobby’s Triple Threat” and “Great American Recipe” released a statement saying, “I’m beyond excited to join ‘MasterChef’ as a judge for Season 15, which is unlike any other,” said Derry. “For me, cooking has always been about passion, precision and heart, and I can’t wait to bring my perspective to the table alongside Gordon and Joe. The season challenges home cook duos in a whole new way, and it was so fun to see them rise to the occasion. Get ready for some incredible food, tough love and maybe even a little spice!” No word yet on Aaron Sanchez’s next move but perhaps he will continue on MasterChef Jr. as a judge. Tiffany is a welcome change to the judges panel who has yet to have an African-American on the panel permanently. It took until Season 9 for an African-American to be crowned the winner of the cooking competition. With Nyesha Arrington being a fan favorite on Gordon Ramsey’s other hit cooking competition show Next Level Chef, it was not long before some changes were made at MasterChef.  What do you think of the news? It’s a Holly Jolly Christmas in Serenity, and episode 9 of season 4 for Sweet Magnolias brings all the warmth, love, and joy of the holiday season.  The episode titled “Dance Your Sugarplum Off” started with Maddie, Paula, and Iris, who came to visit for the holidays, looking for Christmas mugs. Maddie asks Iris if she’d like to reclaim any past Christmas traditions, and she mentions “the good wishes paper chain,” where the family would take a paper link and write what they were thankful for during the year. Friends would also participate, and it would leave a chain of hope and gratitude.  At Helen’s house, Erik attempts to get Helen to unwind and engage in conversation, despite the chaos and stress of working alongside Peggy. He has no such luck as Peggy calls Helen with more requests.  Dana Sue and Ronnie are in therapy with pastor June, where Dana Sue opens up about Ronnie’s motorcycle purchase making her feel like he’s going to leave just as Annie leaves, and that she’ll be alone. June encourages them that with less security and pressure, not seeing home as one specific way brings freedom.  As Noreen tries to figure out where to lay the stockings, Isaac receives a text from Michael, leading him to wonder and hope that Michael is flirting with him. Not long after in Sullivans and Friends, Isaac and Erik are using boiling and simmering analogies to get advice about their relationships.  Cal pulls Erik into the dining room to tell him he misses their talks and to apologize for not handling the Sullivans and Friends opening well.  Iris helps Maddie make peanut butter cookies so she can work on her writing. Maddie tells Iris that it’s hard to balance working after being a stay-at-home mom for so long. Iris reassures her that it takes a whole village, and there’s no balance.  Kyle, Sophie, and Willow discuss what to get their loved ones for Christmas as they transition into adulthood. Kyle suggests an experience accompanied by a keepsake so that the moment can always be remembered. Willow keeps pitching the idea of socks though which is hilarious.  It’s Margarita night, Christmas edition, and our favorite trio is participating in Iris’ good wishes paper chain tradition. Dana Sue opens up about how much she’s opened her mind to all the changes in her life with the help of pastor June. It has reassured her. Maddie also teases about helping Beatriz protect the library and her steamy romance novels.  One of the sweetest moments of this season happens when Erik and Helen go for a nature walk and they finally confess their love for each other. They heartwarmingly agree to cherish the joy and love they share.  The Maddox family shares stories, and Ronnie gifts Dana Sue with plans for a location built for her new kitchen, leaving her stunned and incredibly grateful.  It’s Katie’s Nutcracker recital night, and she stole the hearts of her family and everyone in the room. She was met with praise, special hugs, and lots of flowers.  The episode ends on a massive cliffhanger, with Maddie telling Cal that she’s been offered a marketing job, but unfortunately, it’s in New York, leaving Cal speechless. This will change everything for their family. How will they handle it? Viewers will have to keep watching. The full season 4 of Sweet Magnolias is now streaming on Netflix.

We made it, we made it to the season (series) finale of 1923. Taylor Sheridan has said this part of the Dutton story would only be two seasons and Brandon Sklenar has also confirmed it. The next part of the story is reportedly taking place in 1944. If this holds to be true, this was a fitting end to this part of the Dutton history. So let’s get into it. I have to point out one of the happier parts of the episode was Rainwater getting released for the murders. The Marshalls understood why she did what she did and what she has been through. The Judge agrees to dismiss the case due to all the witnesses being dead. She gets a fresh start and is heading to California. I would not be opposed to her getting her own spin-off story or perhaps she will show up in 1944. I knew Banner in the end could not morally reconcile what Whitfield was doing. He decides to take his family and leave. He makes a good point about the Duttons being takers but they are not evil. He could kill men and steal their land but the beating of women was just too much for him to handle. Banner goes to the train station Jacob tells him he has to stay but his family can go.  Alex burns the car and gets noticed by a passing train - the train Spencer is on. He sees her and we have the reunion we have been waiting for all season. She lets him know she is pregnant and they catch up to the train. Our happy reunion lasts all of sixty seconds before it is revealed her hands and feet are frost bitten. When the train makes it back to the station where Jacob and everyone is waiting there is a nasty gun fight. Banner is killed (he saved Jacob in the end) along with all of his and Whitfield’s men. Jacob and her share a special moment and the acting here with Harrison Ford and Julia Schlaepfer  is phenomenal. Emmys all around.  Back at the house Cara and the cowboys are holding it down the best they can but Whitfield’s men enter the house just as Spencer pulls up. Single handedly without any of Spencer’s men getting off one shot takes out all of Whitfield’s men. They really should’ve been more afraid of Spencer. He and Cara have a nice reunion as well and Elizabeth points out that Jack is missing. Cara sends two cowboys to look for him.  When Cara and Spencer show up at the hospital, Spencer meets his new son (Alex names his John after his brother) and he and Alex share their last moments. We waited all season and when our soulmates are finally reunited she dies. Taylor Sheridan gives you happiness and takes it away moments later. Cara takes the baby and Spencer tells Jacob he wants to meet Whitfield, the man that killed his wife.  On the road, Jack’s body is found and he has indeed died. I was hoping he survived. When Spencer and Jacob pull up on Whitfield they shoot him, they take out his crazy girlfriend and tell Mabel to run. Whitfield thinks he is going to jail and Spencer has other plans, he makes him say Alex’s name then kills him.  We wrap up on the episode with the funerals for Alex and Jack. Jacob is retiring and Spencer is back permanently going to round up cattle. Elsa in the voiceover explains that Spencer never remarried, he did have another son with a widow but would not marry her. He died of old age in front of Alex’s grave and met her in heaven.  This was an emotional season full of deaths of people on our team but in the end I think everyone got a decent story. It makes me want to binge (rewatch) 1883 then 1923 to see the full story again. Let’s hope 1944 is greenlit and in production soon as I cannot wait to see the next generation of Duttons.  What did you think of the episode and season as a whole? Dennis the Menace star Jay North has passed away at the age of 73. He was battling colon cancer and The Hollywood Reporter was first to confirm his passing.  Jeannie Russell, who was his co-star, released a statement to The Hollywood Reporter calling North an "otherworldly brother.” Russell played Margret Wade on the series and confirmed that North died in Florida.  North was featured in the Dennis the Menace comic strip series for a total of four seasons from 1959 to 1963 and the series also starred Gale Gordon, Gloria Henry and Herbert Anderson. The series followed the adventures or misadventures of a young boy named Dennis who constantly bothered his neighbor George Wilson played by Joseph Kearns. Dennis catchphrase “Hey Mr. Wilson” is widely known and popular. The lovable but mischievous blonde haired little boy who just wanted to have some fun (at his neighbors expense unfortunately) was a hit with viewers and kids alike.  In 1993, a film version was released starring Mason Gamble as Dennis and Walter Matthau as Mr. George Wilson. Slingshots became an even more popular toy amongst children after the release of the film much to parents' annoyance.  Aside from Dennis the Menace, North’s other credits include Wagon Train, Maya, My Three Sons and Jericho to name a few. He was also a voice actor starring in animated shows like The Flintstone Comedy Hour and The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show.  He made the transition to film and appeared in The Teacher and Scout’s Honor with his credited role playing himself in Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star, prior to that was voice role in The Simpsons.  It appears he led a quiet and peaceful life outside of the limelight but continued to act and provide voice work. Our condolences are with his family, friends, loved ones and colleagues.

We absolutely have to talk about Elia Cantu as Jada Hunter on Days of Our Lives — she is, without question, Soap’s Performer of the Week. The characters of Jada and Shawn are rapidly cultivating a devoted following, and it’s easy to see why. Their chemistry is utterly electric — undeniable and compelling. Elia’s portrayal of Jada is layered with nuance: from the lingering glances to the subtle internal conflict of being drawn to someone new while still emotionally tethered to someone from her past. That is top-tier acting. This week, Elia was given emotionally charged material, and she delivered with remarkable depth. Jada made the difficult decision to confess to Rafe that she had slept with Shawn — unaware at the time that he had been kidnapped and replaced by a doppelgänger. Elia masterfully conveyed Jada’s turmoil, heartbreak, and guilt as she explained the truth. Her performance captured that devastating mix of resolve, honesty, and emotional unraveling. She had no idea the man who hurt her wasn’t truly her fiancé, and the anguish of that realization, coupled with her outburst of frustration, was utterly gut-wrenching to witness. Jada, a character typically composed, rational, and clear-headed, allowed her pain to override her usual control — and Elia brought every ounce of that vulnerability to the screen with grace and authenticity. And just when we thought she couldn’t give us more, she shifted beautifully into scenes with Paulina — Jada, intoxicated and unraveling, still managed to show flashes of warmth and even a flicker of laughter amid the sorrow. That emotional range is no small feat. Bravo to Elia Cantu for an extraordinary performance — her emotional intelligence, tenderness, and raw talent continue to shine through each scene. We cannot wait to see where this storyline goes, especially as it unfolds between Jada and Shawn D. Thank you, Elia, for such a compelling and heartfelt portrayal.

Beyond The Gates Weekly Recap - 03/31/25-04/04/25 Monday/Tuesday Earlier in the week, Chelsea walks out on Dani when she feels Dani is trying to take over the fashion line she and Kat have created. Chelsea wants independence and misinterprets Dani's intentions, storming out abruptly. As Dani assures Jonathan she'll find a way to replace Chelsea, she wrestles privately with the strong temptation to drink. Chelsea later returns to apologize, feeling guilty about abandoning her. She makes it clear she isn't icing Dani out; she simply wants to forge her own path. Dani acknowledges she mistakenly believed Chelsea was abandoning her, much like Bill did. Chelsea quickly reassures her mom, and Dani lovingly tells her daughter to never apologize for spreading her wings, effectively setting them both free. Later, Chelsea chats with Kat, mentioning her “step monster” Hayley just as Hayley herself walks into Orphey Jean's. Hayley immediately begins to whine about her plight, audaciously claiming nobody acknowledges the pain Dani caused her. Chelsea dismissively tells her to move on, but Hayley persists, listing Dani’s supposed transgressions. Meanwhile, Derek and Jacob meet at the Uptown and joke about Andre's latest photos in the paper. Andre's photography favors Ashley, making Derek look like a “troll” by comparison.  Jacob considers knocking Andre down a peg, but Derek thinks he might leave town soon anyway.  Meanwhile at the hospital, Andre and Ashley talk about the documentary as fabulous Shanice eavesdrops nearby, catching every juicy detail. Ashley, feeling Andre is ghosting her, complains openly. Yet, if she's truly uninterested, why does she care?  Hayley complains yet again, calling Bill at the office but is interrupted by Naomi. Naomi firmly tells Bill her clients will not drop their lawsuit. However, in praising Dani’s respected community standing, she may have  unintentionally redirected Bill’s attention toward Dani. After Naomi leaves, Bill calls Dani, reigniting her hopes.  Later, Bill visits Dani. Things quickly turn awkward when he offers Dani a drink, but she sticks firmly to sparkling water. Bill reveals he's sold one of their houses, prompting Dani to pull out a photo album, lost in nostalgia. Wednesday/Thursday Dani and Bill  Bill predictably rejects Dani’s kiss, cruelly blaming her impulsiveness and stating there's no future for them. When Dani insists she's still in his blood, Bill coldly replies that he’s had a transfusion. Dani realizes he wants something and she is correct; he wants respect for Hayley at the country club. Dani mockingly refers to Hayley as Bill’s "mid-life crisis wife," highlighting their incompatibility. Bill insists he's happier now, claiming they're equals, but Dani challenges whether that's true intellectually and physically. Despite Dani’s passionate plea about their undeniable chemistry, Bill declares their toxic cycle over and bluntly tells her to find a hobby. After everything she’s sacrificed, Dani feels defeated. Can we please get Dani a wealthy, respectful man who appreciates her? Her continued obsession with Bill, despite his disrespect, isn’t a good look. Yes, their chemistry sizzles, but Bill should be the one pursuing and groveling Dani deserves better. She battles temptation to drink but instead calls Andre. When he arrives, Dani’s insecurity surfaces, yet Andre reassures her that he’ll always come when she calls. Again, it is always odd seeing him go from Dani to Ashley. A. They have the better storyline and B. he just has more chemistry with Dani. Jacob and Naomi Jacob confides his concerns about Marcel to Naomi after spotting Marcel meeting with Joey. They talk about their jobs before he is off to meet his father.  Naomi flashes back to pleasant dinners with Bill, leaving us baffled as to why Bill risked everything for the shallow Hayley. Anita and Vernon join Naomi, gently cautioning her about moving forward with the lawsuit. They remind her how ugly things get when Bill feels threatened. Criminal Activities Jacob questions his father, Elon, about Joey, but Elon deceitfully claims Joey is an informant. Behind Jacob’s back, Elon conspires with Marcel, leaving Jacob suspicious and unsettled after catching them whispering. Doug cautiously discusses a new medical device with Randy, who warns him about Joey’s ruthlessness. Vanessa spots Randy at the club, leading Doug to dismiss her concerns. Later, Vanessa meets Joey, only to have Nicole interrupt, not realizing Joey was joining them. The Borings  Ashley panics over Derek inviting Andre to dinner, worried about the frozen food she has on hand. Andre arrives charmingly bearing wine, beer, and flowers, immediately impressing Ashley. Derek reluctantly agrees to participate in Andre’s documentary but is saved from further awkwardness when Dani summons Andre away. Ashley assumes Andre left for a romantic encounter and plots matchmaking. The Darlings  Anita and Vernon remain couple goals, showcasing enduring love and admiration. While Anita’s chemistry with Elon intrigues, Vernon and Anita’s consistent flashbacks to their first meeting have become repetitive. Still, Vernon’s devotion remains charming. Hulu and The Jackass  Hayley storms into Bill’s office demanding Caroline reveal his whereabouts. Learning Bill visited Dani, Hayley confronts him angrily upon his return, leading to yet another tantrum. Bill manages to soothe Hayley’s insecurities, but it underscores her constant need for reassurance. Nicole and Ted  Nicole and Ted plan their anniversary, reminiscing fondly. Nicole meets Joey, skeptical of his intentions due to his shady reputation, while Vanessa openly gushes about him. Nicole later learns from Ted that Joey’s mother died last year, raising suspicions about Joey’s motives. Bill’s Office  Naomi confronts Bill, but he outmaneuvers her by generously offering the plaintiffs a million dollars each and reinstating their jobs. Despite Naomi’s pleas, the plaintiffs consider immediate gain. Caroline mistakenly believes Bill’s generosity is for Naomi’s benefit, but he reveals it's to protect his legacy. Naomi later helps the plaintiffs realize their return to work won’t be easy, as they'll face hostility from Mike and others. They come to their senses which, agreeing to the settlement in the first place was ridiculous.  Friday Nicole and Ted Nicole struggles to believe that Joey’s mother has died, thinking Ted must be mistaken. Ted explains a doctor he knows fled town after Joey’s mother passed away during surgery. Worried, Nicole feels she needs to warn Vanessa. Ted is more concerned with flashbacks of Leslie/Dana and the secret he desperately wants to keep hidden. Later, Ted spends quality time with Kat when she comes home, asking her to help him with something work-related on his iPad. Momager Dani Dani plans a charity fashion show, battling temptation from a nearby bottle, but Chelsea and Kat’s arrival stops her from giving in. Chelsea reveals a purse she designed, impressing Dani. Chelsea agrees to walk in the show, using the opportunity as her farewell to modeling. Chelsea mentions Hayley accusing Dani of breaking into her home, but Dani brushes off the negativity, encouraging Chelsea to ignore Hayley’s nonsense. Naomi visits Dani, who praises her efforts in the lawsuit against Bill. Seeing Naomi's emotional struggle, Dani gently suggests she step aside and let another lawyer handle the case, fearing Naomi will lose Bill’s love. Naomi firmly rejects this, determined to seek justice both for the victims and Dani herself. After Naomi leaves, Dani calls Bill and pleads with him not to hurt their daughter. Country Club Happenings Vanessa firmly shuts down Diego’s possessive behavior. Clearly captivated by Joey, Vanessa starts distancing herself from Diego. Nicole informs Vanessa of Joey’s mother’s death, making Vanessa suspicious enough to confront Joey directly. Joey smoothly spins the truth, admitting the house is for himself and his age-related needs, and charmingly claiming vanity as his reason for hiding it. Vanessa forgives him, calling him a "zaddy," and insists he never lie again unaware Diego sees them holding hands. Orphey Jean’s Hayley tries buttering up Derek, playing the victim about Naomi’s dislike and once again mentioning Dani. Derek remains kind. Later, Hayley meets with her former colleague who is a plaintiff in the lawsuit against the firm. It seems Hayley was duplicitous and betrayed her friend. When she was fired, Hayley paid her dust. The client expresses this to Hayley who apologizes to her former colleague for not supporting her, but urges her to accept Bill’s settlement. Naomi catches Hayley trying to sway her client and sends her away. She confronts Hayley, putting her on notice. She is not doing the suit any favors. The Law Offices of Bill Hamilton Chelsea arrives to confront Bill about Hayley’s manipulative tactics and his poor treatment of Dani. She warns him that he’s lost her trust and storms out. Garland Memorial  Andre films his documentary at Garland Memorial, asking staff members about their “superpowers.” Shanice, surprisingly camera-shy, cleverly steers the conversation toward Ashley, causing Andre to visibly brighten. Derek arrives late, interrupting the exchange. Once again, Andre and Ashley's forced connection leaves viewers hoping the writers might free Andre and Shanice from this awkward dynamic. Highlights I thought that Bill would fake a heart attack when he had hand numbness but he didn’t which has me wondering if there is something really going on Bill and Dani’s chemistry and the trip down memory lane. It perplexes me what happened between them. I feel there is more to the story and perhaps it is why Dani cannot let go Chelsea agreeing to one final walk on the runway Joey’s mother is no longer alive

Mary-Louise Parker guest stars on Elsbeth  as Freya Frostad, a decluttering guru, in an all-new episode. Freya discusses their calendar with her two partners, Axel (her husband) and Taylor, at their home. She notices there are more time blocks for Axel and Taylor than for her. They are a throuple. Taylor says she’s always welcome to join her and Axel, but Freya declines. She says their relationship needs equal apportionment to work. She feels like an outsider and arranges some alone time with Taylor. Freya gives Taylor an anniversary gift from Axel and herself—a beautiful decorative box. Taylor gives Freya her bracelet. Later, Axel and Taylor are in the hot tub, enjoying each other’s company. He gives Taylor his anniversary gift: a gold necklace with a locket. They passionately kiss as Freya watches them from the doorway. The Sopa moves on the floor nearby, cleaning. Later that night, Freya takes the necklace out of Taylor’s box, collects hair from their hairbrushes, and puts them in the hot tub. At the hotel, Freya and Taylor are in bed, talking about relationship exercises. Axel’s in the hot tub alone at home and sees the necklace and hair clogging the tub. He reaches down to remove it, but his hair gets pulled into the tub’s suction vent. The Sopa bumps the side of the tub and automatically closes the hot tub cover. Freya is controlling both the hot tub and the Sopa from her phone at the hotel. The next morning, Freya and Taylor return to their home. Taylor notices Axel is missing but sees his phone on the counter. She knows something is wrong because he wouldn’t just leave his phone. They open the hot tub cover and find his body floating inside. Taylor screams and cries uncontrollably. Elsbeth arrives at the crime scene and asks one of the officers if Detective Blanke is on the case. She’s carrying baked goods and several of her trademark bags. Detective Edwards walks up and tells her that Detective Blanke is not on the case. Elsbeth offers her New York Black and White Cookies, but she’s not a sweets eater. Detective Edwards briefs Elsbeth on the crime, and Elsbeth asks if there were any witnesses, but there were none. The rest of the family was at a hotel. Detective Edwards matter-of-factly tells Elsbeth that suction entrapments are common injuries and deaths every year. She doesn’t see anything out of the ordinary and says she’ll wrap things up. Edwards asks Elsbeth to skip her ‘Elsbethy’ thing in this case. Elsbeth doesn't hear her as she walks over to Freya and Taylor. Freya stops her and asks her to wear shoe coverings like her other colleagues. Elsbeth apologizes for her loss and introduces herself. Freya is struck by Elsbeth carrying baked goods, and Elsbeth tells her they’re great conversation starters, offering Freya and Taylor some cookies. They introduce themselves to Elsbeth, and Taylor mentions that the three of them are together. Elsbeth realizes they’re a throuple, and she’s intrigued. Detective Edwards brings over a chain necklace and asks if Freya and Taylor recognize it. They lie and say they’ve never seen it before. Elsbeth asks them if they’re sure. Meanwhile, Freya is intrigued by all of Elsbeth’s bags and asks why she’s carrying around so much. Is she worried she’s not enough? Elsbeth responds that she’s too much. Freya gives her a copy of her book to help her organize herself. Elsbeth recognizes her and says she helps people declutter. “Less is More,” says Taylor. Elsbeth says she loves her excess. Freya says that people like that think they are in control, but they’re not. Freya and Taylor leave to grieve privately. Freya advises Elsbeth to start decluttering slowly by getting rid of one bag. Detective Edwards asks Elsbeth if she’s happy now that she’s upset the family. Elsbeth says there’s something odd about Freya. Detective Edwards thinks that’s odd. Back at Elsbeth's office, she beckons Detective Kaya Blanke into her office. Elsbeth’s desk is covered with all her bags. She asks Kaya which one she should get rid of as part of her decluttering process. Kaya picks up Freya’s book and reads from it. Elsbeth asks if Kaya is working on a new case, and suggests they brainstorm. She offers Kaya Black and White Cookies. Kaya thanks her but mentions she’s reducing her sugar intake. Kaya has to leave, but Elsbeth blurts out how sad she is that they’re no longer working on the same cases anymore. Kaya says she enjoys the challenge. Detective Edwards suddenly appears with Axel Frostad’s medical records. Elsbeth remarks on the numerous records. Detective Edwards says Axel’s been in urgent care many times. She adds that he’s either the unluckiest man in New York or someone’s been trying to kill him. Teddy brings Gonzo in from a walk at Elsbeth’s apartment. Teddy’s having issues at home with Roy, but he doesn’t want to talk about it. Instead, he deflects and asks Elsbeth about her new case. Elsbeth brainstorms with Teddy about why someone in a throuple would kill one of their own instead of just breaking up. She tells him that marrying his dad and later having him was well worth everything. Teddy says he hasn’t dated much other than with Roy. Teddy asks about Angus. Elsbeth says she was going to tell him about it eventually. Captain Wagner, Detective Edwards, Cameron Clayden (the Medical Examiner), and Elsbeth review Axel Frostad’s drowning case. Elsbeth notes there was no blood at the crime scene and that it was strangely immaculate. They wonder if he fought with someone because Axel had bloodied knuckles. Captain Wagner asks Elsbeth and Detective Edwards to return to the scene. Elsbeth says Freya won’t be glad to see her. Edwards asks, “Why? Are you going to accuse her of murder?” Elsbeth replies, “Not yet.” Detective Blanke comes in and asks to speak with the captain alone. Elsbeth pulls Cameron into her office and mentions Kaya’s birthday coming up. He had no idea, so Elsbeth offers to handle the birthday planning for him. Elsbeth and Detective Edwards return to the Frostad apartment and inspect the hot tub with the Tub Tops agent. Elsbeth emerges from the empty hot tub. They think Axel may have tried to punch himself out of the closed tub, but the agent claims it’s a top-of-the-line model. The tops are indestructible. Freya listens quietly out of sight while the investigation continues. Taylor comes downstairs and asks if Freya is okay. Taylor says she can’t stay there anymore and wants to leave. She doesn’t do couples. Freya’s not ready for this and suggests they find a new third person because she doesn’t want to lose Taylor. The police discover that the cover was closed on Axel while he was still alive. He tried to punch his way out, but there’s a motion detector that automatically closes the cover if no movement is detected after 30 minutes. If Axel had been moving, the top shouldn’t have closed. An app or a physical switch can be used to close the cover. Elsbeth finds the switch at the base of the tub. The Tub Tops agent says the switch location is a clear violation. Freya arrives and tells them she had the switch moved to its current location. She asks them to leave so she can grieve in peace. Elsbeth steps in and tries to calm everyone. She tells Freya that Axel was alive when the cover closed and shows her the evidence. Freya stealthily presses some buttons on her cell phone, activating the Sopa. It quickly moves to the tub and bumps the cover switch. Freya claims she must have activated it out of habit. Axel is always out of the hot tub by 9 p.m. She begins crying as she realizes her mistake. Elsbeth is suspicious and looks at Detective Edwards. Elsbeth, Detective Edwards, the Tub Tops agent, and the Sopa Sweep Enterprises representatives meet at the police station to discuss who was at fault for Axel’s death. Elsbeth notes that the Sopa was too clean. She asks how long it would take for a massive amount of hair to accumulate in the tub. Both representatives agree it would take several months. Elsbeth suggests they run a test to determine whether it was user error or user intention. Captain Wagner agrees to the testing after the Tub Tops agent offers to pay for it. Detective Edwards comments that accidents aren’t really accidents, and Elsbeth mentions she found Freya and Taylor’s recently updated profiles on dating sites. They’re looking for a new third partner. Captain Edwards can’t understand the reasoning behind a throuple. Elsbeth educates him on the differences between dyads and triads. She’s been researching polyamorous relationships, and Detective Edwards suggests she’s living the experience herself. They clearly make Captain Wagner uncomfortable, and he sputters that a "couple" is good enough for him. Detective Edwards, upset by his judgmental comments, leaves. Elsbeth returns the Sopa to Freya, who says it’s her favorite of her 44 things. Elsbeth intentionally searches through her bags, which drives Freya crazy. Freya gets containers to help Elsbeth declutter her bags and schools her on excuses and procrastination. Elsbeth notices that Taylor is not there and asks Freya about her. She realizes Freya cares about Taylor. Freya tells Elsbeth to take everything out of her tote bags. There are 67 items in them! Elsbeth remarks that it’s less than she expected. She loves a mystery, and it helps her think. Freya suggests that decluttering helps declutter the mind. Elsbeth comments that Axel’s accident still confounds her, and she hopes the decluttering can help her. Freya gets Elsbeth to focus on the current task, and they walk through sorting and getting rid of the clutter. This is sometimes hilarious and sometimes sad, seeing Elsbeth’s attachment to certain items. Freya helps her let go of them. She tells Elsbeth about other clients she’s helped declutter. She says people hold onto things, but the value isn’t in the object—it’s in the memory attached. Elsbeth says sometimes the value is  in the object. She won’t give up Teddy’s first Mother’s Day card. She says Freya’s method of letting things go must have helped in her throuple relationship. They talk about relationships. She tells Freya, “Less is More,” now that Axel is gone. Freya changes the subject and offers to dispose of Elsbeth’s unwanted items. Roy and Teddy are walking Gonzo. They try to get him to go potty, and Roy tells Teddy how his mom used to do it. Teddy suddenly says things are moving too fast for him. Their relationship is on shaky ground. Teddy is reluctant to settle down right now, but Roy is ready to talk about commitment. Roy agrees to break up amicably if Teddy finds someone new, asking him to decide whether he wants Roy or to continue dating. Back in Captain Wagner’s office, Cameron meets with Wagner, Detective Edwards, and Elsbeth to update them on the tests. He confirms it was Axel’s hair in the drain, but it’s odd because the hair was from different versions of his hair. They also find traces of arsenic. Edwards and Elsbeth agree someone tried to poison Axel, but they disagree on who. Captain Wagner asks them to bring Freya in for discreet questioning. Wagner apologizes to Detective Edwards for his earlier judgmental comments and insensitivity. He says not understanding is not an excuse. He admits he should listen more and talk less. Detective Edwards awkwardly accepts the apology, then asks if he has anything else to say. He doesn’t. At Elsbeth’s office, Cameron listens as Elsbeth tells him about “Project Sprinkle” (her plan for Kaya’s birthday). Cameron wants to share some of his own ideas for the birthday, but Kaya walks in. Cameron and Elsbeth pretend to be looking at some real estate pictures on the wall. Kaya notices and says they’re being weird before leaving. Elsbeth tells Cameron to come up with some ideas for Kaya’s birthday on his own because she believes he’ll do a perfect job. That real estate picture triggers something in Elsbeth’s mind about the Axel Frostad case. Detective Edwards and Elsbeth interview Taylor first, asking about Axel’s accidents. They ask why she’s the only one who took Axel to the emergency room and whether she heard the Frostads fight. Taylor mentions that Freya had a temper. She also shares what each individual contributed to their relationship and tells them that Freya would make them soothing tea. They ask her about bank transactions, and Taylor insists that Freya’s not a killer, though Edwards and Elsbeth still warn Taylor to be careful. Freya and Taylor interview Brock, a third partner, at their apartment. He asks what happened to their last partner. Taylor blurts out that he drowned. Brock changes his mind and leaves. Freya asks her what happened, and she says she was being honest. Freya suggests that Taylor’s jewelry might have contributed to Axel’s death. Taylor gets upset and leaves for a while. At Elsbeth’s house, Teddy gathers his things to take over to Roy’s. Elsbeth helps, but Teddy says he doesn’t think he’ll take anything else there. He talks about how things are with Roy. He doesn’t want to make wrong choices and have the same thing happen to him and Roy that happened with his mom and dad. Elsbeth tells him she supports him, but he’s got to start acting like an adult and make his own decisions. She keeps giving him more stuff to take to Roy’s, but Teddy says he can’t take any more, or he’ll have to rent a self-storage unit. This triggers an Elsbeth Moment. She starts “Elsbething,” working through the Axel Frostad case, muttering and confusing Teddy. Elsbeth shows Freya her “quantity” box and asks her to dispose of it. She tells Freya she was right: decluttering helps her mind. Elsbeth is now down to just one bag. Freya takes the box to a storage unit. Detective Edwards and Elsbeth follow her there. The unit is full of things Freya has secretly hoarded. Freya asks Elsbeth not to use that word to describe her. The items in the storage unit include discarded things from all Freya’s past clients, and Elsbeth even finds her stuff there. Freya tells Elsbeth about a client who lived in a $20 million West Village Carriage House, which triggers Elsbeth’s sleuthing skills. The house was owned by a family who made their fortune from pest extermination and had old flypaper. Detective Edwards finds flypaper from the 1800s in Freya’s storage unit. Freya insists Axel didn’t die in flypaper, but Elsbeth points out that Axel had several odd accidents. It was put in their tea. Elsbeth tells Freya that all she had to do was let Axel and Taylor go. She adds that Taylor will probably find more quality now, as the police take Freya away. At that moment, Taylor is already at a coffee shop, making progress. Teddy arrives at Roy’s house with more of his things. They’re happy to start living together in a committed relationship. At Kaya’s apartment, Kaya and Cameron celebrate her birthday together. Elsbeth is at home, going through all the things she thought Freya disposed of while Gonzo looks on. She gets a call on her laptop—it's from Angus! This episode was a sensation to watch! It was great to have this thoroughly entertaining, feel-good show back. They handled the different relationships so well and taught us a lot about why people’s lives get cluttered and how to declutter them. Mary-Louise Parker was remarkable! It was also great to see Detective Edwards and some of her personal side. The transition of Kaya to a detective was almost seamless. The only thing that suffered was the close friendship between Kaya and Elsbeth. It was nice to see Teddy and Roy take their relationship to a new level, and always a pleasure to see Captain Wagner. Elsbeth’s downsizing to one bag was tough to watch, but now I understand why she had all those multiple bags. The episode ending with a call from Angus hints at Elsbeth renewing her relationship status, too. It was absolutely a wonderful episode!
