The crime drama MobLand  continues to escalate in intensity with Episode 6, "Antwerp Blues." As tensions between our rival crime families boil over this episode has a cliffhanger that leaves us desperate for more. The sixth installment marks a turning point in MobLand  Season 1, shifting from simmering threats to open warfare between the Harrigan and Stevenson families. With the dramatic fallout from Vron’s car bombing, Antwerp is a standout. The episode opens with the aftermath of Vron's assassination via car bomb, which sends Richie Stevenson into full-blown retaliation mode. His grief quickly turns into rage, setting off a violent sequence of retribution aimed directly at the Harrigans. Conrad says he ordered the hit but he seems to be covering for his wife, Maeve. There is no great love story here so I feel like he should be ok with perhaps throwing her under the bus to save his own skin.  Meanwhile, Harry Da Souza, the Harrigans’ ever-reliable enforcer, shifts into crisis mode. Gathering his family and allies under Conrad Harrigan’s roof, Harry tries to assess who can be trusted as paranoia and suspicions flare, especially toward Maeve. Photo Credit: Luke Varley/Paramount+ Across the channel in Antwerp, Seraphina and her brother Brendan prepare for a high-risk jewelry exchange, unaware that a hit squad is already en route. What begins as a calculated business move spirals into chaos as Richie’s men ambush them, turning the diamond district into a warzone. One of MobLand’s  strengths is its character arcs. Episode 6 shines a spotlight on Harry, Seraphina and Richie. These arcs add emotional heft to the violence but there's more than just bullets flying around.  The shift to a Belgian setting brings fresh aesthetic appeal. Cinematographer Jacob Elswit's framing of narrow Antwerp streets and warehouse standoffs strengthen the show’s gritty tone. The tense, minimalist score and quick-cut editing during shootouts, the episode offers a cinematic experience that you don’t see much on tv.  However with good comes the bad and the series could use some tightening up in areas. At times, it can feel like the writing is all over the place and there is no real structure. Maeve setting up Seraphine was diabolical however and I love messy boss women. Having said that, I wish Jan was used more than she is.  With MobLand Season 1 Episode 6, the show takes a daring leap forward. “Antwerp Blues” has Harry racing against time and Seraphina faces the consequences of her family's legacy, the stage is set for a climactic final stretch. Whether you’re watching for the gunfights, the power plays, or the character drama, MobLand  continues to raise the stakes. Episode 6 proves that in this world, no one is truly safe and nothing is ever as simple as black and white. Every May the 4th, fans across the galaxy celebrate one of the best space sagas to ever grace the small screen and the big screen: Star Wars . And in recent years, The Mandalorian  has carved its place as one of the most beloved entries in the franchise making it the perfect binge for Star Wars Day. The Child is Revealed (Season 1, Episode 1) "He may look like Baby Yoda, but he’s full of surprises." The series had our mouths fully open in the final scene of the premiere episode. Din Djarin opens a pod to reveal The Child , a mysterious, force-sensitive creature of Yoda’s species. The internet erupted, and thus began the age of Grogu. Why it matters:  Grogu instantly became a fan-favorite and a cultural icon, I mean who doesn’t love Baby Yoda. Disney’s eyes widen as the cash registers chimed with the sale of all the Baby Yoda merch.  🛡️ 2. Din Djarin Removes His Helmet (Season 2, Episode 7) "This is the way… but love changes the path." A Mandalorian never removes their helmet. Yet in a moment of necessity and vulnerability, Din Djarin removes his helmet not once, but twice. First, to access an Imperial terminal, and later, in front of Grogu, as a heartfelt farewell. Why it matters:  This scene marked a major shift in Din’s identity; from a code-bound warrior to a caring protector. Pedro Pascal’s performance without dialogue speaks volumes. ⚔️ 3. Ahsoka Tano’s Live-Action Debut (Season 2, Episode 5) "I’ve seen only one other being like this…" Longtime fans of The Clone Wars  were ecstatic when Ahsoka Tano, voiced by Rosario Dawson, made her live-action debut. With twin white lightsabers and Jedi-level skills, she confronted tyranny and shared one massive piece of lore: Grogu’s name and backstory. Why it matters:  This episode led the way to Ahsoka Tano’s own series (returning soon). 🤖 4. The Dark Troopers Battle (Season 2, Episode 8) "One warrior. One army of droids. One nerve-wracking fight." As the tension was at its highest in the Season 2 finale, Din faced off against the menacing Dark Troopers, indestructible, relentless, and purely mechanical. With limited resources, he’s pushed to the edge in one of the most intense fight sequences of the series. Why it matters:  The Dark Troopers reminded fans of what Star Wars does best, which is creating intimidating, futuristic enemies that raise the stakes to galaxy-level threats. 🧙‍♂️ 5. Luke Skywalker Returns (Season 2, Episode 8) "A legend steps out of the shadows." Just when things look grim, an X-wing arrives. Hooded and silent, a Jedi slices through Dark Troopers with unmatched precision. It’s Luke Skywalker, de-aged and brought back to life in a surprise appearance that made fans cry, cheer, and post like never before. Why it matters:  This moment bridged generations of Star Wars fans. It gave closure to Luke’s arc and opened new paths for Grogu’s future with the Jedi. 🎉 May the Fourth Be With You and Your Streaming Queue The Mandalorian  offers everything that a Star Wars fan would want, making it the perfect Star Wars Day rewatch. It’s been two weeks since viewers have seen Doctor Odyssey’s big three and cruising crew. Tristan and Max both confessed their feelings for Avery, meaning that the triangle is back on. This week, the Odyssey is double booked by “trad wives” and sexually positive advocates. What could go wrong?  At the beginning of the episode, Avery tells both Max and Tristan that starting a long-term relationship when she’s about to leave for medical school in a month doesn’t make sense, so she doesn’t want to be with either of them.  Kelli Berglund then arrives, playing Penny Hollister, a famous trad wife with over 2 million followers, who has literally written a book titled “And Obey.” The other wives rush to her, saying how much they love her recipes and crafts for kids.  Totally opposite from Penny, Whitney Cummings arrives, portraying Mona Yeager, a sex positive advocate and author who also has plenty of fans. As Captain Massey put it, with both women embarking on their book tours simultaneously on the ship, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.  Insults immediately start flying between the two groups when they both need to use the reading space, but Massey jumps in and says they will flip a coin to see who gets to use it. Mona and her sex positive group emerge victorious, and she begins her speech by expressing her desire for everyone to experience the joy and intensity of sex.  You then see Penny and her trad wife group using the Odyssey lobby as a place to host her speech. The duality of each speech is interesting to say the least.  Afterwards, Penny’s husband Gabe takes her to the infirmary to see Max, as she is experiencing stomach pain. She thinks it’s due to stress, but when she admits she had raw milk, Max suggests that it could be a foodborne illness. Because Mona is feeling seasick, she finds Avery, who reveals herself to be a big fan. Mona tells Avery that self-care is great, but sometimes you need an extra set of hands. When Avery confides in her about her situation, Mona gets the bright idea for Avery to sleep with both Max and Tristan. This should be good.  Later, Max figures out what’s wrong with Penny after he does a CT scan. She has an IUD, and she panics, but she admits everything to her husband. Penny and Gabe get through it, and she fully recovers after her procedure.  The triangle between Max, Avery, and Tristan intensifies even more. Avery takes Mona’s advice and attempts to have sex with both guys in her life. She and Tristan get intimate, and he confesses that being physically close to her was a dream come true. Avery then attempts to be with Max, but he rejects because he doesn’t want to be casual with her.  A conversation with Massey about the loss of his and Heather’s child pushes Max to really know what he wants. Massey admits that everything that has happened has made him think about life and love.  Mona opens up to Avery about having Vaginismus, but they soon discover that she’s actually experiencing premature menopause, which is treatable, and she’ll be okay. Avery returns the same encouragement to Mona that Mona had given her, urging her to flirt and have fun.  The episode ends with a heartbreaking love confession from Max to Avery. After trying to be intimate with him again, he once again rejects her. He confesses that as much as he’d want to be with her in that way the next month, he’d be heartbroken to have to say goodbye to her when she leaves.  This love confession couldn’t come at a worse time because next week a huge Tsunami will be hitting the Odyssey crew. This might just be worse than the sharks and orcas. Episode 17, which is also the last episode before the season finale, will air Thursday May 8 on ABC. It will also stream on Hulu the next day.

Now Amara has to figure out how to make it through this ‘engagement’ without further damaging her still healing heart.  Thoughts: This is my first Stephanie Alves book and I gotta say…wow. This story has sibling rivalry, fun friends and a plus sized babe getting her back blown out by a billionaire dom. I really don’t know what else you need to know in order to read this. Amara’s inability to see her true beauty in the beginning is an all too familiar story for many folks living in plus sized bodies. Her shitty ex didn’t help, with his negative comments but as with all good stories, he loses out and she learns to love to love herself.  Nicholas is one of those MMC’s where you love him cause he’s the MMC. He’s sexy, rich, and loves the FMC the way she deserves but for much of the story I felt like he wasn’t really getting just how hard the whole situation was for her. I mean the optics themselves, but his spice and ability to realize where he went wrong while also fixing it, is really the thing I liked the most about him.  Quotes:  “I have no doubt in my mind that there’s a guy out there who’d fall flat on his face just to give you everything you want and more.”  -Nicholas “Who said I want you to go slow?”  -Amara “Do you want that, honey? In a surprising twist on the May 1, 2025, episode of Next Level Chef , 22-year-old professional chef Ryan Scanlon from Boston, Massachusetts, was eliminated. I for sure thought he was going to make it to the semi finals.  Being from the east coast too, I loved his east coast attitude and the way he prepared dishes. The overall challenge was to cook meat that was bone-in and Ryan got the top of the meat empire, the king of kings, filet mignon.  However, throughout the cook, the mentors noted how salty his sauce was, which apparently must’ve gotten into his head because he started making mistakes and overcooked his filet mignon. That steak looked dry like the desert. She went on and on all episode about her rustic cooking and being outdoors so she was super excited to get venison. However, her dish was a mess.  Heading into elimination, watched by Nyesha, Megan and Ryan had 25 minutes to cook a whole fish. It was east coast vs west coast, pro chef vs home chef and Megan came out on top. Ryan, a pro chef, even lost part of the tail when he tried to take the fish out the pan. Something he said has never happened before in all his years cooking.  Though his time on Next Level Chef  ended sooner than many expected, Ryan’s journey is far from over. Gordon Ramsay, offered him a job at one of his many Boston restaurants, securing a future for Ryan and his young family. So he won without winning. Good for him.  That leaves Megan, Austin and Brandon (team Blaise), Bobby (team Nyesha) and Beatrice (team Gordon) going into the semi-finals.  Who are you rooting for? Let us know in the comments! Beyond The Gates Weekly Recap - 4/28-5/25/25 Monday Ted tries to get romantic with Nicole, but every time they get close, party plans interrupt them. Meanwhile, Vernon encourages Anita to revive her music career—he’s her biggest fan. But Anita, ever the realist, says it’s not just her aging voice. With Dani and Naomi by her side, she could maybe do it, but things ended badly with the Articulettes after she went solo, and that still lingers. Derek and Ashley are arguing over furniture, and honestly, I’m bored. Over in a much more interesting scene, Martin has another daymare, and Chelsea drops by to talk about her sexuality. She wants to date the woman in her throuple but doesn’t know how to navigate it. She’s been with women before, but this one makes her want to do something she’s avoided—catch feelings. I really liked this moment between her and Martin—it felt like cousins having real talk. He was there for the tea and offered her space to work through it. Eva confides in Nicole and Ted that she’s usually the one people leave. She admires their love and they reassure her that her time will come. Meanwhile, Leslie’s at the diner with friends, enjoying the moment. After they leave, she spots Martin with Vernon and walks over, handing Martin a brownie. Clock that moment—it comes back during the reveal. Later, at home, Leslie is trying on wigs in the mirror. One thing Leslie is going to do is entertain. Eva walks in, and they talk wigs and Dupree business. Leslie casually drops that she talked to Martin and Vernon. Eva challenges her—why is she so focused on the Duprees when her real issue is with Ted? She tries to talk Leslie down again, but, of course, Leslie doesn’t listen. The episode closes with a flashback to Leslie and Eva’s past. It leaves just enough mystery to keep us guessing about the ever-alluring Leslie and the secrets she’s still keeping. Thursday Nicole takes a trip down memory lane, flipping through her wedding album. Ted admits he always felt like she was out of his league. At home, Eva recalls Ted comforting her once and telling her she always had a place in his and Nicole’s life. She’s getting dressed when Leslie shows up—disguised. Leslie tells her that the architect of Ted’s destruction is none other than his own daughter. Anita checks in on Kat’s speech—Vernon helped her with it. They praise Ted, saying Nicole did well, unlike Dani. Speaking of Dani, they want to make sure she’s party-ready, and Chelsea’s on it. Dani is glowing. She says she wants to celebrate Nicole, but we all see the reason she was rushing Chelsea out: Andre was upstairs. I’m smiling and kicking my feet—give us this couple, please. They are the  story. Eva doesn’t want to go through with this in public. Leslie, singing the same old song, doesn't get why Eva feels sorry for him. She calls her “little girl” and tells her it’s time to choose: with her or against her. She chooses the only person who has been there for her. That person just so happens to be the person who has manipulated her throughout her life. We get a flashback to Dani’s anniversary with Bill. They’re getting dressed and running late, but the chemistry? Whew. It’s still there. Which makes it harder to swallow his relationship with his "child bride". Thankfully, Dani snaps back to the present, and there’s Andre, watching her in awe. They talk about going public, and while Andre is down, he says he’ll follow her lead. At the country club, Vernon wants more details about Tomas. Kat opens up a little, though she confides somewhat about what Tomas asked of her. Her family is proud of her for standing firm and not going against her better judgement. She talks about not settling, about wanting what her parents have. It makes me wonder—will she unravel? Will this make her view on relationships change? Eva and Leslie meet. Eva is tense. Leslie hands her the key to the supply room and tells her to lock her in—part of their plan. She’ll get dressed and wait until it’s time for her big reveal. Guests start arriving. Chelsea’s live streaming (why?). She’s interviewing attendees, starting with Anita and Vernon. Andre is there snapping pictures and wants one of Eva, the event's mastermind. Kat’s still on the hunt for Leslie. She’s suspicious. Chelsea tries to play peacemaker, but Martin pops in to tease his sister, interrupting her crusade to find Leslie. Nicole and Ted arrive. Everyone’s in place. This episode weaves family bonding with mounting tension. Nicole tries to play matchmaker, eyeing one of Ted’s colleagues for Dani—but Dani only has eyes for Andre. He takes their picture and flirts. Dani compliments Eva’s look and suggests modeling— please  let that happen. Meanwhile, Ted and Nicole offer to pay for Eva to get certified as a medical assistant and a job in Ted’s practice. Eva tries to stop Leslie from going through with it, but Leslie locks her in the supply closet. Luckily, Dr. Carlton saves her—but it’s too late. Leslie has already begun her villainess speech. Friday Leslie dives into her dramatic takedown of Ted. Eva tries to pivot by throwing her mother under the bus, but Nicole wants to hear it all. Naomi arrives just in time to snatch the phone from Chelsea—because obviously, this  is not something we live stream. Thursday and Friday were pure soap—explosive, emotional, and exactly what May Sweeps has been missing. Ambyr Michelle is our Performer of the Week.  She delivered. You felt  her pain. I even teared up. And that final image—her standing alone—left us with more questions. So much story potential here. Highlights The drama The fashion Ambyr, Karla, Colby, and Trisha Man Grant’s performances The slow burn build-up to the reveal The Duprees uniting around Nicole Daphne’s subtle yet gutting portrayal of Nicole’s heartbreak Bill knowing about the affair and even getting involved to control Leslie Ten out of ten! Lowlights Derek and Ashley… still arguing about furniture. I thought they already lived together? Either way, not interested. Speculation Corner Did Vanessa skip the party and end up in the ER because she’s pregnant—and Doug isn’t  the father? Skyliners think so, and honestly? I agree. And what was up with Leslie calling Eva “girl” and abandoning her? Is she even Eva’s real mother? There’s a theory floating around that Eva is actually Nicole’s daughter—Leslie stole an embryo and carried it herself. Sounds wild, but this is  a soap, and I’d be all in. I also don't mind the original story, Eva is  Leslie’s daughter—with Ted. Either way, the twisted family dynamics are giving everything they need to give.

We finally get to the root (see what I did there) of the season with Grosse Pointe Garden Society . A couple of lingering questions have been answered in the season's latest episode and it feels like a well-deserved payoff after an interesting freshman season. The show’s been slowly planting seeds all along, and now we finally get the bloom, some messy, chaotic, kind of unhinged bloom, but still. Alice’s mother-in-law killed her dog, yes, killed the dog , so of course Alice just has  to get revenge by messing with the quilt that costs all that money due to the auction. I mean it is a handmade quilt, I hear those things are worth something, I guess. Just buy a blanket at the store, but I digress. The drama of it all somehow centers around fabric. GROSSE POINTE GARDEN SOCIETY -- "Monaco Under the Stars" Episode 111 -- Pictured: (l-r) Melissa Fumero as Birdie, Aja Naomi King as Catherine, Ben Rappaport as Brett, AnnaSophia Robb as Alice -- (Photo by: Mark Hill/NBC) So, when Alice texts mommy-in-law Patty to meet her and presumably have it out once and for all and for her to witness the destruction of the quilt, daddy-in-law Keith shows up instead. Naturally. The group of gardening misfits and Keith then tussle, yes, full-on tussle over the expensive, inexpensive quilt, and just when it looks like Keith is about to go into the woodchipper (a little nod to the Walkers from Jadis’ group in The Walking Dead , because why not mix in some light horror imagery), Keith is able to pull the blanket out and save some  of it. Not all. Just enough to say he didn’t totally lose. All is great, the gang did not murder Keith, no one is composted… but wait there’s more. Just as everything looks to be returning to “normal” (whatever that means in this universe), Keith has some type of medical emergency and falls out hard. And plot twist: he’s been punctured by a garden tool that was hanging on the wall in the shed. A death by hoe, trowel, or whatever that was. So technically, he killed himself? Not on purpose, but yeah, that’s kind of what happened. The wild part is this really all could’ve been explained to a law enforcement official. Like, pretty easily. But we don’t do easy around here. Performer of the Week this week goes to the incomparable Angela Bassett as Athena Grant on 9-1-1 . There is no way fans are over the death of Athena’s man, Robert “Bobby” Nash and just like Athena we are mad that he left us. Especially after knowing this was not Peter Krause’s choice but the powers that be “creative decision.”  This week on 9-1-1 Athena delayed making the arrangements for Bobby’s funeral, not wanting to face reality and in all honesty, who could blame her? She already lost one fiancée to violence. An off duty cop going to run an errand that Athena sent him on so she could surprise him and he gets shot trying to stop a corner store robbery. If that was not enough trauma, her second husband dies in the line of duty stopping a crazy scientist, not even a fire.  I guess I’d rather have him be able to say his final words and not blow up or burn to death. Angela delivered all the emotions this week as a freshly wounded widow. Her line “he just left me” was a blow to the head not even the gut. We felt for her in that moment along with her and her kids at the funeral and finally at the burial site.  We know Angela can act and she finally got her Oscar (she received an Honorary Oscar in 2024) after being looked over for What’s Love Got to Do With It and Wakanda Forever , but if the Television Academy does not honor her in the next ceremony with an Emmy nomination and win, we are going to have some problems.  Now the show is on Angela’s shoulders and we are sure she will be strong enough to pull off whatever the writers have in store, just now sure how many of us will be there to watch it.

Johnny comes home and sees the living room filled with baby items. Chanel is excited about the adoption and mentions that Belle dropped off the adoption papers. Johnny lies and says she hasn’t. Chanel worries the adoption might be endangered now that EJ is waking up, but Johnny makes it clear he wants nothing to do with his father. They briefly talk about moving before she leaves to attend Felicity’s ceremony. At the high school, Sophia and Tate are talking. She mentions Holly will realize Tate was only looking out for her. After some coaxing, Tate asks Sophia to prom, and she accepts. Chanel arrives for the ceremony and sees them. She thanks them for choosing her and Johnny as the adoptive parents and is visibly excited. Alone, Sophia and Tate express how happy they are to have Chanel adopting their child. Shawn D receives distressing news from his mother, Bo is getting worse, and antibiotics are no longer working. He reflects on his past with his father. Jada opens up about her own father’s death, and the two leave for fresh air. Roman and Kayla catch up, discussing the fair and Maggie’s donation. They receive a call from Hope about Bo. Meanwhile, Marlena and Steve talk at home about the odds of finding John before heading into the pub, where Kayla tells them about Bo’s infection and prognosis. She mentions a drug that could help, though it hasn’t been tested. Later, she and Steve talk about her feelings. They run into Jada and Shawn, and Kayla and Shawn discuss their emotions about Bo. Marlena speaks with her grandson Johnny about his situation with his father and the adoption. She gives him advice about being honest with others and with himself. Chanel waits for Johnny, who returns and says they need to talk. Xander talks to Sarah about his job frustrations, his brother, and the forgery. They discuss their anniversary and a potential trip to Bali. Meanwhile, Doug is with Holly. He says it’s time he gets a job and stops sneaking around her home. Holly wants to tell Maggie but isn’t ready yet. She leaves to get food, and during that time Doug gets a job call. He tries to sneak out but is caught by Phillip and Maggie. Maggie confronts Phillip about his lies and encourages him to be better. After she leaves, Phillip enters a room, and when Doug tries to sneak out again, Phillip catches him and tells him not to lie anymore. At the hospital, Maggie talks with Julie about her volunteer work. Julie is struggling after Doug’s death and isn’t softening toward Doug III, whom she hasn’t seen and claims not to care about. They talk about the loss of their husbands before parting. Sophia and Tate are at Horton Town Square when they run into Holly. It’s an awkward moment, and Sophia accidentally reveals she and Tate are going to prom. Holly leaves, and Sophia and Tate talk about a gift for Chanel and Johnny. Later, Doug receives a call threatening him over a debt and warning they know where he’s been staying. He begins looking for a shelter. Holly finds a note from him saying he can’t risk getting her in trouble. Johnny and Chanel have an emotional conversation. Johnny admits he doesn’t want to adopt anymore, not after everything with EJ. Chanel tries to convince him, even suggesting counseling, but Johnny insists he’s not in the right place. He says he loves her deeply but isn’t ready. Chanel pleads with him not to tell Sophia and Tate yet, but Johnny is honest when they arrive. Sophia is devastated and runs off. Tate comforts Sophia, while Chanel, furious, kicks Johnny out. EJ, recovering in the hospital, is determined to leave, he senses his son needs him. Johnny sleeps on the couch at the DiMera mansion, unable to face the bedroom he shared with Chanel. Paulina visits and encourages him not to become EJ and to fight for his marriage. After she leaves, Susan arrives and talks to Johnny about EJ’s return. Johnny avoids him, but EJ is already there. Susan notices Johnny is hiding something. When she leaves, EJ checks a video and sees Johnny raising a gun to him. Chanel meets Felicity and Cat, who bring up the adoption. Chanel breaks down and tells them it fell through. They comfort her before Paulina arrives. Chanel expresses her anger that Johnny didn’t tell her sooner, he claims he didn’t want to be like EJ, but she feels blindsided, which reminds her of EJ. Paulina encourages her not to give up on her marriage. Chad and Leo discuss suspects in EJ’s shooting. Felicity tries to push Chad and Cat together. It’s revealed EJ won the silent auction, which annoys Chad. Kayla speaks with her sister Kimberly. Dr. Russell comes in, and they talk about a potential drug that could help Bo. He refuses, citing its untested status and cost. Gabi and Ari talk about graduation when Leo walks in. Gabi accuses Ava of shooting EJ and threatens Leo with a lawsuit. After Gabi leaves, Leo goes through her purse and gets caught. Stephanie is preparing for Jada to move in after her breakup with Rafe. Alex stops by and they talk about the auction. Stephanie mentions lunch with her mother. Kayla talks to Steve about the unapproved drug and understands Dr. Russell’s refusal. She plans to tell Shawn D. At the Brady Pub, Jada and Shawn D talk until Phillip arrives and mentions Bo. Kayla later calls Shawn and confirms the drug isn’t happening. Phillip offers support and leaves. Shawn calls Steve and proposes stealing the drug. Steve offers to do it alone, but Shawn insists on joining him. Gabi confronts Leo again. Javi enters and defends Leo. He says if Leo goes, so does he. Gabi and Javi head to the office, where Phillip is. Gabi lashes out, and Javi walks out. Gabi and Phillip argue, and after he leaves, she throws his laptop in the trash. Gabi calls Alex and demands an auction date. Phillip returns, searching for his laptop, and she pulls it out of the trash. Alex apologizes to Xander, and they agree to work together. After their talk, Xander considers buying the hospital. Javi returns home. Leo admits to going through Gabi’s purse and accuses her of being a suspect. Javi says enough living with Gabi isn’t working. It’s revealed that Xander and Phillip must work together, and the fraud must stay hidden. Alex finds Stephanie’s book and starts reading it. Brady picks up Rachel from Kristen’s. Kristen claims Rachel doesn’t need counseling anymore, but Brady disagrees. Kristen asks for his help with her family, but he refuses. Xander tells Sarah he’s stuck working with Phillip for the good of the company. Sarah helps him stay calm. Belle asks Marlena for updates on John none yet. Andrew thinks they’re close. They talk about Johnny. Belle believes EJ can change and confesses her feelings to Marlena. Later, Marlena and Brady talk about John again. Sophia confides in her mother that the adoption fell through but hopes another family will step up. Her mother says it needs to be someone they know. Amy suggests maybe it’s a sign to keep the baby. Sophia is clearly conflicted and suddenly doesn’t feel well. She’s taken to the hospital. At a hotel, Johnny hears a knock and hopes it’s Chanel but it’s Tate, who punches him. They have a real talk about why Johnny changed his mind. Tate surprisingly understands. As he leaves, he gets a call about Sophia. Kristen talks to EJ and Rita about loyalty and asks if Rita knows her mother’s whereabouts. She also claims EJ is the favorite, which Rita denies. Brady returns Rachel home but gets into another argument with Kristen. He leaves just as Belle arrives to check on EJ and express sympathy over the failed adoption. Brady gets a call and rushes to the hospital. There, it’s revealed that Sophia must be on bedrest and will miss prom, which breaks her heart.

Everyone is celebrating the success of the fashion show and the showstopper. Taylor now understands why Brooke was so eager to get out of the vault. Steffy is surprised at how Brooke managed to pull it off. They watch as the media asks whether Brooke will wear the showstopper dress again. Brooke plays coy. Ridge praises Brooke for how amazing she was, saying she made the show even better. Will and Electra spend time together and celebrate. Katie notices Daphne kissing Carter. Ridge wants to celebrate his success with Daphne. They reflect on how the fragrance was the highlight—until the showstopper stole the spotlight. In the office, it’s revealed that Eric was the mastermind behind the showstopper. He admits this in front of Ridge, Taylor, Zende, and others, saying the show needed a spark to be truly successful. Steffy reminds him they were supposed to focus on the company, not personal dynamics, but Eric insists showcasing the history—especially Ridge and Brooke—was important. Taylor admits to accidentally locking herself and Brooke in the vault. They continue to celebrate the win. Daphne continues to pursue Carter. Carter dodges another kiss, and Zende walks in, interrupting them. After Carter leaves, Zende questions Daphne about her feelings. She says it was unexpected. He warns her to be careful—especially since she schemed with Steffy, which Katie overhears. After Zende leaves, Katie confronts Daphne. At Brooke’s home, Brooke and Katie thank Eric. Eric admits he likes Taylor, but believes Ridge and Brooke belong together. After he leaves, the sisters talk about that night. Brooke feels something may finally change between her and Ridge. At the mansion, Taylor sees all the press praising the fashion show—especially focusing on Ridge and Brooke. Ridge shrugs it off, but Taylor is clearly bothered. Steffy notices and offers support. Ridge later tells his father that Taylor is his future, while Brooke remains hopeful that she and Ridge will find their way back to each other. Brooke and Hope talk. Hope reflects on her mistakes with Carter, and asks Brooke about Ridge. Brooke still believes Ridge is her destiny and that it will all work out. Ridge and Eric continue talking about Ridge’s love life. Ridge still feels betrayed by Brooke. The conversation gets tense as Eric insists Brooke is the love of Ridge’s life. Ridge accuses his father of trying to play God. Zende asks Carter if something is going on with Daphne. Carter says no—his only focus is Hope. Katie continues confronting Daphne, accusing her of playing a part to reclaim the company. Daphne insists her feelings for Carter are real. Carter walks in, and Daphne covers. Brooke comes to the office and has a heartfelt moment with Ridge, reminding him she will always be his Logan. Finn and Steffy continue caring for Liam and respect his decision to keep his whereabouts a secret. They agree to lie to Hope, saying Liam had a plumbing issue. Liam later calls Hope and tells her where he’s staying. She heads over. Once there, Steffy and Finn leave them alone. Hope asks Liam if something’s going on, but he avoids the topic. They discuss her hurt and her second chance with Carter. Liam knows she misses him and talks about love. Hope gets a text from Carter, and Liam encourages her to respond. Electra, Will, Ridge, and Carter talk about the jewelry line’s success, congratulating Electra and Ivy. Backstage, Electra and Will reflect on being in L.A. and how much it means to be together. Alone with Ridge, Carter opens up about missing Hope and how strange it feels without her there. He notes that she was promised a job, and Ridge admits he and Eric should’ve spoken to Steffy first. Carter hopes to convince Steffy to reconsider. In Finn’s office, he and Steffy talk about Liam’s condition, which is inoperable. Steffy breaks down, admitting her issues with Hope suddenly feel unimportant. Carter tells Brooke how much he misses Hope. Ridge walks in, assuming they’re talking about her. Carter says Hope is held to a higher standard. When he gets a text from her, he rushes out. Brooke asks Ridge if it bothers him that Carter left so quickly. Ridge says it’s Carter’s personal life. Brooke wishes everyone could get along. They both reflect on the success of the fashion show—especially for Brooke. Steffy returns home. Liam hasn’t told Hope the truth yet but says he urged her to see Carter, believing Carter is the right one for her. Carter begs Hope to forgive him. They hug—but Hope doesn’t respond.

Jonah Hauer-King guest stars on this episode of Doctor Who, Lucky Day  and what a guest appearance it has been. Hauer-King is really starting to make a name for himself in Hollywood and up next you can catch him in the remake of cult horror classic,  I Know What You Did Last Summer . So how did he do in the beloved Doctor Who  series? This episode did not have too much Doctor Who in it, perhaps Ncuti Gatwa and Varada Sethu were off filming a more heavier episode, so we got to catch up with Gatwa’s Doctor’s first companion, Ruby. Missed seeing her as she was a real treat the first season. Welcome back Ruby! She is doing her best to live a normal life after battling aliens and reuniting with her birth mother and her boyfriend Conrad Clark (Jonah Hauer-King) is just the sweetest in the beginning. Those eyes, am I right? He met the Doctor and his new companion back when he was a boy and interviewed Ruby years later and the two started seeing each other. However, things aren’t vibing with the alien threat of the Shreek around. Ruby even gives Conrad an antidote to help keep the Shreek off his back.  When Ruby and Conrad go away for the weekend that is when things heat up. Flickering lights cause worry but as Ruby tries to brush it off a woman runs in the pub shouting about the devil and Conrad admits he did not take the antidote. As the Shreek comes closer it is revealed that it was two of Conrad’s friends dressed up and Conrad set the whole thing up to expose UNIT and Ruby as liars. He completely turns into a villain but is hailed as a martyr. The government caves to the pressure from his organization and downgrades UNIT’s security clearance. Conrad goes a step further and knocks out a security guard, takes his gun and heads to UNIT headquarters with a score to settle. He demands that everyone admit to lying so Kate releases a real Shreek and Conrad is attacked. Ruby has decided she needs to live in a world without the Doctor and when we see Conrad next he is in a jail cell wounded by the Shreek. The Doctor visits him and lets him have it for his actions. Conrad, unphased, asks if he met Belinda yet (he was the man that told the Doctor of Belinda’s importance). The Doctor tells him he will die young in his cell and leaves but Mrs. Flood appears with keys and tells Conrad it is his lucky day. Not good… What did you think of the episode? Coming as no great shock to anyone, CBS has finally put fans out of their misery and announced that season 5 of ‘The Equalizer’ starring Queen Latifah will be the last season. The May 4 Season 5 finale, titled "Decisions," will be the series finale. Queen Latifah took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the cancellation of her series. See her post below. T he Equalizer starred Latifah as Robyn McCall, a former operative turned “Robin Hood” if you will. She helped her clients equal their odds against those that wronged them. The show followed the movie starring Denzel Washington which was also based on the original television series starring Edward Woodward.  CBS has been changing up their lineup over recent weeks with the cancellation of Poppa’s House as well as not moving forward with planned spin-offs of The Equalizer and The Neighborhood. In good news, the Eye Network renewed Ghosts ( for two seasons) and Watson  (for a sophomore season).  Fans have been rallying trying to save The Equalizer as the writing has been on the wall for some time now. The show was not just entertaining but offered representation with its diverse cast and guest stars like Jada Pinkett Smith, long time friend of Queen Latifah. Smith and Latifah famously starred together in the film Set it Off , a cult classic with Vivica A. Fox,  Kimberly Elise, Blair Underwood and John C. McGinley.  Also starring in The Equalizer with Latifah, Liza Lapira (Melody “Mel” Bayani), Adam Goldberg (Harry Keshegian), Laya DeLeon Hayes (Delilah), Lorraine Toussaint (Viola “Vi” Marsette) and Tory Kittles (Detective Marcus Dante). Mel was the sniper, Harry the hacker, Delilah, Robin’s daughter, Vi, Robin’s aunt and Marcus was Robin’s love interest. It is a shame the network could not give one final season for a proper sendoff like The Neighborhood  but the cast is very talented and we cannot wait to see what everyone does next.
