If you thought Angelo Flannery (Patrick Dempsey) was going to spend the season slowly wandering through a foggy memory of suburban domesticity, episode 4, "Unhappy Ending," just served as a violent wake-up call. Between the Alzheimer’s-induced gaps and a mysterious boogeyman stalking his family, Angelo is spinning plates that are starting to crack. The Ferryman and the Count of Three The episode kicks off with Angelo inching closer to the elusive "Ferryman." He pulls a classic hitman bait-and-switch, tricking a henchman named Leo into a meeting with the apprentice bullet maker. Side note: Is it just us, or did Leo look suspiciously like John Bregar (aka Dylan Michalchuk from Degrassi: The Next Generation )? Whether it was a Canadian teen drama cameo or just a striking resemblance, Leo didn’t last long enough for a reunion. Angelo tries to squeeze Leo for Intel, but all he gets are more tall tales about the Ferryman being some kind of untouchable boogeyman. When Angelo gives him to the count of three to talk, Leo decides he’d rather take a bullet than betray his boss. Angelo, being the stone-cold killer we occasionally forget he is between scenes of him being a "girl dad," grants that last request without blinking. A Side Quest with Surveillance Photos After the messy business with Leo, it’s back to the "day job" with Joe. Dutch (Michael Imperioli) has the duo tracking a female arms dealer with a penchant for selling to the world’s worst people. The plan is set but then Angelo’s phone, specifically Leo’s burner pings with a text for the next meet. Never one to miss a lead, Angelo ditches Joe with a flimsy excuse and heads to the meet. It’s a warehouse full of goons loading illegal firearms, light work for a man of Angelo’s talents. He clears the room with zero issues but the last man standing leaves him with a parting gift: for the Ferryman this isn't just business; it’s personal. Angelo discovers surveillance photos of his entire family, proving he isn't the only one doing the stalking. The Nicky Situation and Maria’s Meddling Meanwhile, the domestic drama is just as tense. Angelo and Nicky (Michaela McManus) are still very much a thing, but Nicky isn't a fool. She lays it out flat: she knows he’s hiding something, likely a secret family. Angelo tells her a "half-truth" the currency of all doomed TV relationships and they agree to keep seeing each other. It’s a ticking time bomb and we’re just waiting for the explosion. Then there’s Maria. Is it just me, or is she getting a little too "brave" for her own good? Instead of staying in the house, she uses her connection with Dave to insert herself into the investigation. She leads the authorities right to the spot where Angelo killed the hitman. She’s essentially setting up her own father to take the fall while claiming she "isn't running" from the danger. The Memory Slip and The FBI’s Arrival The most heartbreaking moment of the episode comes after a confrontation with Jeff and Maria. Jeff is desperately trying to keep his family safe and Maria is not having any of it. Angelo agress with Jeff but they get no where trying to convince Maria. Angelo apologizes to Jeff for not setting up the baby's crib, only for Jeff to gently remind him that he already did it. This hit home. It prompts Angelo to finally look into the memory loss therapy his brother’s doctor recommended, though he’s still keeping the diagnosis a secret from everyone. He manages to finish the job with the arms dealer with Joe using a clever "cat laser" trick to make the arms dealers think they were surrounded by a whole squad, but the victory is short-lived. Back at the warehouse where he took out the Ferryman’s men, the FBI is closing in. Angelo staged the scene, but Agent Linda Grant (Gina Torres) is way too sharp for these amateur theatrics. Later, Angelo calls one of the numbers in Leo's phone and Nicky answers. What does that mean? The TV Cave Verdict: Is Dutch the Ferryman? Angelo is getting a little too cocky for comfort and the Ferryman is clearly playing a longer game. My current theory? Dutch is the Ferryman. He’s too close to the operation, knows Angelo’s every move and has the resources to pull it off. "Unhappy Ending" was a masterclass in building tension. Relationship Goals  is the new Prime Video rom-com starring Kelly Rowland and Cliff “Method Man” Smith. The film is produced by DeVon Franklin and directed by Linda Mendoza. Rowland plays Leah Caldwell, a career-driven morning news producer who has been putting love on the back burner. She refuses to entertain any man who doesn’t check every box on her extensive “list.” Things take a turn when her longtime ex, Jarret Roy (Method Man), shows up out of the blue to compete with her for a major promotion. The position would fulfill Leah’s dream of running the morning show after her boss retires. To decide who will get the job, her boss assigns Leah and Jarret to work together on a story Jarret pitched. Much to her dismay, Leah is forced to collaborate with the man who once broke her heart. The tone of the film is upbeat and cheerful, filled with cute, punchy jokes. Rowland and Method Man are supported by a likable cast, including two of Leah’s friends who are navigating their own romantic challenges. The film stays in line with DeVon Franklin’s faith-based brand and touches on Christian principles in dating and relationships. However, whether intentional or not, the Christian aspect feels too light and lacks spiritual depth. Kelly Rowland shines as Leah and sits comfortably in the role of leading lady. Method Man surprisingly showcases solid comedic timing but falls short in scenes that require emotional depth. Unfortunately, the chemistry needed to make the audience feel invested in Leah and Jarret’s relationship never fully materializes. When it comes time for Leah and Jarret to address their messy past, specifically Jarret cheating on Leah, the moment feels rushed and glossed over. The conversation lacks heart and genuine emotional expression. This absence of emotional connection becomes an ongoing issue throughout the film. As an on-screen couple, Rowland and Method Man lack the romantic chemistry and “will they, won’t they” tension necessary to make viewers root for them. When they finally give in to their feelings, the moment feels out of place. Even though the audience has been along for the journey, we are left feeling unfulfilled. Relationship Goals  is an easy, light watch but don’t expect much more than that. The film is now streaming on Prime Video.

We caught up with Costa D’Angelo, who plays the quietly dangerous and endlessly fascinating Alex, while on set and he opened up about what fans should brace for as the season comes to a close. Spoiler-free, but not sting-free. (Sorry fans as Costa was busy filiming this is a non-video interview.) D’Angelo’s journey to joining the hit Hulu series was almost as fast-paced as Alex’s rollercoaster storylines. The actor recalls receiving a message from his manager while in Australia about a self-tape audition. “I just went to my studio and shot a little thing,” he said. His audition scene was a pivotal bar moment with Lucy, where Alex delivers a quietly loaded line that would set the tone for his character. Within a week, D’Angelo was on Zoom for chemistry reads with Grace Van Patten and Megan Oppenheimer and shortly after, flown to Los Angeles for an in-person read. “It all moved so incredibly quick… a week from my self tape to booking it. It was the most incredible experience of my life,” he said. Since his arrival, Alex has unsettled the Tell Me Lies  ecosystem in a way that feels deliberate. He’s not loud like Stephen or impulsive like Lucy, but he’s just as combustible. According to D’Angelo, that contrast is intentional. “I love how honest he is,” he said, noting that Alex is one of the few characters who “says things how he sees it,” even while keeping his trauma tightly guarded. In a series fueled by half-truths and emotional manipulation, that kind of blunt honesty lands like a warning shot. That honesty, however, comes with a cost. Alex’s backstory, shaped by foster care and abuse drives nearly every decision he makes.
