Rating: ★★★★★ Faith Is Inside Going Undercover Malcolm takes Faith to a fancy dinner. He wines and dines her at the best of the best. Faith still shows no signs or reaction to learning Malcolm’s true identity.  Back at the GBI Conference Room, Faith pleads her case to Amanda. She believes she is the best choice to go undercover and find incriminating evidence to arrest Malcolm and his crew. She asks Will for his input. Despite his own personal feelings, he realizes Faith is right. Amanda’s exasperated and doesn’t want to put Faith in danger. Will says Faith is already inside, and tells Amanda they should let her close the case. He gives Faith a necklace with a hidden camera to capture photos of evidence. Amanda is still apprehensive and advises Faith not to let her feelings get in the way.  Faith and Malcolm live the life fantastic. They dance and party like two people falling in love. They sit after dancing. Faith notices two guys arguing across the room, and Malcolm says that one of them works for him. He says he’ll go talk to him.  Ormewood and Franklin are outside on a stakeout keeping an eye on Faith and Malcolm. They hear her giving them a heads up on the two guys arguing across the room. Franklin is finicky about cleanliness, and Ormewood is just the opposite. Franklin has his work cut out for him. They take photos of the three guys to id them.  Malcolm returns to his table and Faith. One of the guys is Winston, Malcolm’s friend. He tells her that Winston was just being Winston. Anger and arguing is something he does a lot. Malcolm changes the conversation to something more pleasing and asks if they should order another bottle. Faith smiles. Out in the stakeout van, the last pic Ormewood and Franklin see is Malcolm smiling at Faith. She turned off the camera, surprising both Ormewood and Franklin. They draw their own conclusions as to what happens next. Franklin says it’s time for him to take a nap. Ormewood worries over what Faith does next, and drives the van over to Malcolm’s place. Faith and Malcolm get to Malcolm’s place and they exchange some flirtatious conversation, a sweet kiss, as Malcolm tells Faith he loves Faith. She says she loves him, too.  Seth the Surprise Wedding Planner Next, a new mini-story is introduced with Seth complaining to his sister Emily on the phone. They are arguing about the Nantucket house and a ferry ride not being comfortable for Angie. They continue arguing as Angie enters the bedroom. Seth and Emily are secretly working together to plan Angie and Seth’s wedding. Their Mom usually can be depended on to help, but in this case has gone rogue.  She’s nowhere to be found. Emily asks Seth something that upsets him, and he abruptly responds angrily. He cuts the call short. He doesn’t see Angie, until she pretends to re-enter the bedroom after he hangs up coming out of the bathroom. Angie asks who he was talking to, and he confirms it was his sisters.  Angie tells Seth about the big case she’s working on. It ties into the Biosentia Pharmaceuticals, bank heist-murder-conspiracy thing. She’s trying to find out what confidential documents were stolen. Seth offers some helpful information about clinical trials and how all big pharma companies conduct their own research and publish what supports their own interests. Angie asks what happens to the data that doesn’t support them. Seth says if a drug they’re manufacturing is a big moneymaker, and no one else has proof that drug is dangerous, fill in the blanks. Angie says it gets dark, and Seth agrees. She stops Seth before he leaves for work, and gives him a passionate kiss and tells him she loves him. He leaves confused about her amorous intentions. He promises to ask around for more information on Biosentia. Big Pharma Cover Up Ormewood updates Amanda on the identities of Malcolm’s crew, at the GBI. Winston Terry is the possible murderer and Clinton Starling who works for a private security firm contracted by Biosentia Pharmaceuticals. Amanda sees the link. The company hired Malcolm’s crew to break into the bank, and now they are arguing over payment. At that moment, Angie arrives with some important information Seth just gave her. More puzzle pieces added to help solve the case. She writes “Evalia” on their murder board. It’s one of Biosentia’s biggest moneymakers, a drug that is administered before and after surgery to prevent excessive bleeding. Ormewood thinks he may have taken it.  Angie says he was lucky, because family members of about a dozen patients took it and passed away.  The families were unable to get a class lawsuit against Biosentia.  Biosentia says patients dying after taking the drug was an unfortunate coincidence. Amanda says she and Will had enough evidence to go after the company and uncover whatever they’re hiding. I Need to Marry Seth Right Now In the Atlanta Police Department squad room, a cute additional mini-story develops with Angie impatiently telling Franklin she needs to marry Seth right now. Franklin can’t talk now because he needs to track Winston Terry. Angie needs Franklin’s help, and Franklin gives her some suggestions. Angie hands him her list of some possible wedding locations where a wedding can be held at short notice. He tells Angie to work on her vows and adamantly forbids her from using AI, as he goes to track a murderer.  How to Squeeze Big Pharma Amanda and Will ask Mr. Gordon, Biosentia’s representative, to come to GBI.  Amanda says they needed his help with the bank heist investigation.  Mr. Gordon’s confused, and Will informs him of the details. He lets him know about the safe deposit box that was broken into, and the contents that it contained. Mr. Gordon had no idea about it. He didn’t seem convincing. He makes a slip up which Will catches. Will realizes Neville Gordon is being blackmailed.  Franklin follows Winston, but thinks Winston made him. Franklin plays it off by approaching Winston and telling him he was checking him out. Winston is annoyed and tells Franklin to get lost. Winston walks off. He saw that Winston left a $100 tip in the tip jar. He confiscates the jar for evidence.  Faith searches Malcolm’s desk and finds a tactical map. Ormewood says they need to id the location on the map. Winston caught Faith in Malcolm’s study. She deflects and tells Malcolm she came into his study to check out the picture on the wall. Winston goes to answer the door and lets Mauricio and Thad in. He told them to meet them here. The crew go and discuss things away from Faith. Winston is still suspicious of Faith. Ormewood and Franklin listen in. Faith comes out to confront Winston, asking if he has a problem with her.  He tells Faith he can’t find much about her online. He pulls his gun, and Malcolm tries to calm everything down. Franklin and Ormewood intervene, and get everyone to drop any weapons and face down on the floor. Faith asks what’s happening, and Ormewood tries to cuff her and whispers to her to make it look good. He wrestles her to the floor and cuffs Faith. Malcolm yells to not hurt her. Malcolm’s crew and Faith are arrested.  (Disney/Daniel Delgado Jr.) ERIKA CHRISTENSEN, SCOTT FOLEY Faith Gets Arrested Malcolm tries to convince Faith he doesn’t know what’s happening. They are all jailed in separate jail cells. Faith subtly questions Malcolm, and asks who Quinton is. He tells her that Quinton was his son. The drawing she saw on his study’s wall was drawn by him. He died. He tells her that Quinton had a heart defect. An officer comes in and takes Faith for questioning. She’s led to Amanda’s office. Faith tells her they don’t have enough evidence to make the arrest work. She wants to continue her undercover work to get more. Amanda refuses. She says Malcolm has to turn over the documents he stole from the safety deposit box, and they’ll be there when he does. Faith tries to use her “Auntie Manda” connection to change her mind. Amanda tells Faith to end her relationship with Malcolm when they are released.  She threatens to put Faith in a safe house if she doesn’t stand down.  Amanda tries to shine some truth on Faith/Fake Amanda. She tells her she doesn’t want to get rid of her fancy man and the fancy things. Amanda tells her those things aren’t real. She orders Faith to end her relationship. Faith gives her the camera necklace.  Malcolm’s attorney arrives and gets them all released. Malcolm asks Faith to go somewhere and talk. She kisses him and tells him good-bye. Faith walks away.  Bathroom Wedding Vows Prep Angie is in the ladies bathroom stall writing her wedding vows. Will knocks on the door and tells her he had to check on her. Caroline said she’d been in the bathroom for half an hour. He apologizes for interrupting, and is about to walk away. Angie tells him about her surprise wedding plans for Seth, and she’s having trouble writing her vows. Will comes in and asks if she’s literally going to barf. She talks to her Mom in the toilet. It’s her way of talking to her Mom because she dumped her ashes down the toilet when she died. It’s a long story. Will comes into the stall and tries to help Angie with her vows.  They talk about old times, and he tells Angie she’s not that person anymore. Angie lets him feel the baby kick. He tells Angie she’s going somewhere new. He says it will be special for both Seth and her. Seth gets to marry her. That makes Angie feel better. They leave for a meeting.  Bank Robbery Case Updates, Embolism Discovered and Kidnapping Will, Amanda, Franklin, Angie and Ornewood meet in the GBI Conference Room. Faith isn’t there. Will updates them on the case. Wyatt Fernsby, the man whose safety deposit box was robbed, made a deal with the district attorney.  He’s talking now. Angie was right about the drug Biosentia was selling. Evalia was discovered to cause a rare but fatal complication in the company’s research. Gordon ordered Fernsby to destroy the report findings. Malcolm Boykin was one of the families whose family member died after the drug was administered. Amanda tells them they need to let the meet between Malcolm and Gordon happen. She suddenly collapses into a chair. They get Caroline to call her doctor. Amanda is admitted to the hospital. Faith goes to see Amanda. Amanda is glad to see her. She had an embolism, and it was removed. Amanda tells her they found the meet location thanks to the map she found. They are watching Neville Gordon. Faith tells Amanda this is the first time she’s had real feelings for someone, but Amanda tells her that Malcolm will go to prison. Faith doesn’t know where that leaves her. Amanda comforts her. Winston later kidnaps Faith outside the hospital. He knows who she really is.  Combined Cases Closure, Surprise Wedding and Cyclists Will assembles his team, and Ornewood and Franklin head to the meet point. Winston gets Faith to the meet point, and tells Malcolm he knows what he has to do. Malcolm asks if it’s true she is GBI. She confesses and says everything is true. She confirms that the company’s drug caused fatal complications. She asks him to let the GBI handle this. She knows it’s personal for him. She will do everything to make the company face justice. He asks her if their relationship was a lie, and she says it wasn’t. Winston returns and tries to kill Faith himself. He and Malcolm fight, and Malcolm shoots Winston. He won’t untie Faith, and leaves. Faith breaks free.  Ormewood, Franklin and the rest of their police squad arrive at the meet point. Gordon transfers the money to Malcolm’s account. Malcolm tells him there’s a problem. He gives him a folder of all the people that died from the Evalia drug. He tells him his son mattered and is about to shoot Gordon. Faith tries to get Malcolm to drop his gun. Gordon runs off. Faith faces the truth about them and their relationship. Franklin captures Gordon. Back at the meet point, Ormewood has a rifle pointed at Malcolm and tells Faith to give him the word to shoot. She yells for him to stand down. Does he? What does Faith say to Malcolm? Later that night, Angie takes Seth to a lovely spot for dinner. She surprises him with a beautiful wedding. Franklin marries them with Marvin, a cyclist, as their witness. Franklin tells them this is the happiest he’s seen Angie. Angie’s wedding vows are beautiful and hopeful. Seth is tearful and his vows were wonderful. Marvin is tearful and overjoyed, as he rides off with his fellow cyclists. What did the cyclists do? Why is this location so special? Will and Faith return to work and Will brings her breakfast. They discuss Angie and Seth’s wedding. Neither were invited. Faith says she’ll invite Will when she gets married. He asks how she’s doing. Is Will okay with Angie getting married? What does he tell Faith that could help her move on? Sad to see the end of something that seemed so special for Faith, and how unreal her relationship was. The writing of this Will Trent episode was so Good! The acting was powerful. Malcolm was a character with dimensions. The wedding vows were perfect and loved how Seth brought his and Angie’s relationship full circle. The wedding location and cyclists were also a symbolic flashback to their first meeting. Cleverly and beautifully done. The mixture of the different stories worked together seamlessly, and ended with a beautiful surprise wedding and a real authentic touching moment between Faith and Will. So glad Amanda was saved. They have to stop scaring us viewers like that. The emotional ups and downs and surprises were plenty in this episode. There was no Betty in this episode.  I loved this episode and gave it 5 Stars out of 5 .

Is the World’s Greatest Husband Actually a Psycho? Rating: ★★★★★ The white picket fences of Hinkley Hills are officially stained with pomegranate juice and maybe a little bit of actual blood. In The 'Burbs Season 1, Episode 4 , titled " A Nine on the Tension Scale ," the honeymoon phase for Samira and Rob didn't just end; it drove off a cliff. Between freezer-burnt husbands and teenage rage tapes, this episode proved that in the "Safest Town in America," the only thing truly protected is a high-level sociopath. Block Party Blues and Fridge Red Flags The episode kicks off with a classic suburban omen: a walk. Samira runs into Laura Daniels, who drops a reminder about the upcoming neighborhood block party. But the real drama starts with Agnes, who clearly didn't get the memo on widow etiquette. Agnes asks Lynn to whip up her late husband Marty’s famous pies and, wait for it, clean out her massive industrial fridge for a "meat delivery." Lynn, played with glorious edge by Julia Duffy, finally snaps. She blasts Agnes, refusing to touch the pies or the fridge, declaring she’s done with the block party charade. As it turns out, Lynn has a very good reason for wanting people to stay away from her appliances. Wine, Lies, and Pomegranate "Blood" At wine night, the neighborhood gossip mill turns toxic. The group blindsides Samira with the "Rob Files," revealing his history of severe anger issues and the unsettling fact that their neighbor Betsy has zero digital footprint. When Samira returns home, she’s greeted by every horror movie trope at once: Rob standing in a dark kitchen, wielding a knife dripping with red liquid. It’s pomegranate juice, he’s making a romantic dinner but the damage is done. Samira calls out his mounting lies. Rob’s defense? He only lied about his "water runs" because he was sneaking off to smoke weed and felt guilty since Samira can't partake. He gives a sweet speech about worrying for her comfort and Samira (and the audience) buys it. A Neighborhood Bash That’s Just a Bust The block party is a disaster from the jump. From Agnes being casually racist toward little Rory over Girl Scout cookies to Naveen’s ex showing up and triggering a total meltdown, the vibes are rancid. The "sweet" Rob vanishes the moment he starts arguing with Naveen, showing a flash of the "angry side" the neighbors warned about. Meanwhile, Todd and Dana take things to a felony level by essentially kidnapping Naveen to grill him for dirt on the missing Allison. But the episode’s biggest "holy sh*t" moment belongs to Lynn. We finally see what’s in that fridge: Marty isn't just dead; he's wrapped up in the freezer like a Sunday roast. The Basement in the Woods Samira’s snooping finally hits paydirt. After witnessing Rob’s temper, she finds his therapy file and even more damning Allison’s old phone. On it is a voicemail from a teenage Rob, snarling that Allison will "regret her decision." Seeking safety, Samira heads to the woods to vent to her brother, only to trip and discover a hidden basement door. The episode ends on a chilling "Nine" as Rob suddenly appears behind her in the dark. Is Rob the world’s greatest husband or a calculated psycho? Did Lynn "retire" Marty herself? After a debut season that proved Alex Cross could finally thrive on the small screen, Prime Video’s gritty procedural is back, and frankly, it’s firing on all cylinders. Cross Season 2 doesn't just avoid the sophomore slump; it sprints past it with a badge, a gun and a psychological complexity that puts other detective dramas to shame. Between the escalating body count and the domestic drama, showrunner Ben Watkins has crafted a season that feels both more intimate and significantly more dangerous. The Power Couple We Deserve If you’re coming to The TV Cave for the action, you’ll stay for the sparks. The undeniable highlight of the season remains the continued chemistry between Aldis Hodge and Samantha Walkes (Elle). In a genre where the "hero's love interest" is often relegated to worrying at home or getting kidnapped, Walkes’ Elle provides a necessary, grounded intellectual foil to Cross’s intensity. Their relationship feels lived-in and earned, providing a soulful anchor to a show that otherwise spends a lot of time in the dark corners of the human psyche. Speaking of anchors, the family scenes featuring Cross and his children are a masterclass in balancing "Super Cop" with "Single Dad." It’s refreshing to see a procedural where the protagonist’s home life isn't just a plot device to be threatened by a serial killer, but a genuine source of strength and vulnerability. Sampson Steps Up and the Kayla Quibble While Hodge is the undisputed lead, Isaiah Mustafa’s John Sampson gets some much-needed meat on the bone this year. Sampson has a really great storyline this season that dives deep into his personal history, proving he’s far more than just a sidekick with a deep voice. Mustafa brings a quiet gravity to the role that balances Cross’s more kinetic energy. However, if we’re being picky (and at The TV Cave, we always are), we need to talk about Kayla Craig . Alona Tal is consistently magnetic on screen and while the ensemble is thriving, we’re left shouting at the screen for more Kayla. She brings a specific edge to the investigation that we’d love to see expanded in a potential Season 3. A Villain Who Actually Induces Chills Every detective is only as good as the monster they’re chasing and Season 2 delivers a gold medalist in the "Nightmare Fuel" category. The standout has to be Jeanine Mason’s character , who enters the fray as the perfect scary villain. Mason sheds any previous "nice girl" personas to deliver a performance that is calculated, cold, and genuinely unsettling. She doesn't just play a foil; she plays a chess master who manages to get under Cross’s skin in a way we haven't seen before. Check out our interview with her below. And while we’re handing out flowers for the new faces, we have to talk about Matthew Lillard . Usually, when you see Shaggy pop up on your screen, you expect a certain level of manic charm, but as billionaire tycoon Lance Durand, Lillard is operating on a completely different frequency. He plays the "target with a secret" with such a greasy, high-society arrogance that you almost, almost root for the vigilante. Lillard’s ability to oscillate between a powerful titan of industry and a man sweating through his expensive clothes as the walls close in is a season highlight. He’s one of the most versatile character actors in the game. Why You Need to Binge This ASAP The acting throughout the season is top-tier, but it’s the pacing that really seals the deal. The mystery of the billionaire-slaying vigilante provides a sharp social commentary without feeling like a lecture, keeping the stakes high and the plot twists frequent. Cross Season 2 is a rare beast: a sequel that understands exactly what worked the first time and doubles down on it. With stellar performances from Hodge and Mason, a deeper look into Sampson’s life and that unbeatable romantic chemistry, it’s easily one of the best thrillers on streaming right now. As Shrinking  settles into its third season, fresh starts, personal growth, and moving on emerge as central themes for the popular streaming series’ anticipated 11-episode run. This week, it’s D-Day! Brian and Charlie’s baby surrogate is on the brink of delivering the couple’s first child, and, as expected, the often angst-ridden Brian (Michael Urie) is bouncing off the walls with anticipation. Never fear, everyone’s fav no-nonsense neighbor Liz (Christa Miller) has, once again, stepped in as ring leader, doling out orders to tie up last minute needs for the baby before Ava goes into labor. But, before the guys start handing out cigars, the third episode in as many seasons for the hit drama-comedy, opens with Jimmy Laird, the widowed therapist played by lead Jason Segel, and his teenage daughter Alice, played by Lukita Maxwell, hosting Jimmy’s dad for dinner. Joining the Lairds for the meal is Alice’s best friend, Summer. Though the latter character has appeared in the Apple TV+ series since its 2023 debut, it has been a minute since we have seen Alice’s quirky, free-spirited friend, played by Rachel Stubington, on screen. With her well-placed comic relief and irreverent one-liners, Summer’s presence returns to lighten the mood in any scene. And, she can hold her own, too, playing opposite the likes of Segel and veteran actor Jeff Daniels, who joins the cast this season in a recurring role as the grand patriarch of the Laird family. True to form, Daniels brings his trademark grounded and relatable acting to Randy, delivering his lines with a deadpan naturalness that makes you feel like you know someone just like him. And, in only two scenes this episode, it does not take long to recognize Jimmy’s father as that familiar archetype that pushes his son’s buttons in all the wrong ways. With his contrarian demeanor, it is quickly established that Randy has been an irritant, on and off, in Jimmy’s life. The sentiment is incredibly subtle in the conversation around the dinner table of the opening scene, but ultimately driven home when Jimmy later pulls his daughter aside to put a damper on Alice’s eagerness around her grandfather.  Given Daniels stature and the series’ promise of a slew of guest appearances this go-round, no doubt, we should see more of the father-son history and dynamic play out as the season progresses. On a group walk the following day with fellow therapists Gaby (Jessica Williams) and Paul (Harrison Ford), Jimmy dishes details on his relationship with his father, while Paul counsels Gaby to make things right with a patient she blasted with displaced anger in episode 2. The conversation brings the therapists back on track to do what they do best, help others work through their respective issues mired in mental health, including their own. Across town, Liz’s husband, Derek (Ted McGinley) has been tasked with accompanying Brian to purchase a much-needed car seat to bring home baby. It’s a perfect setup for Brian to receive THE call that Ava has gone into labor.  Frantic, Brian calls his bestie Jimmy to meet him at the hospital, but not before he confesses to Derek his added anxiety that Ava has yet to sign away her parental rights, clearing the way for him and Charlie to adopt her baby. Struggling with his own recent tough-love decision to put his adult son out of the house, Derek tells Brian that sometimes you have to accept things as they are. While the grown-ups navigate the arrival of new life at the hospital, Alice spends time with Paul working with him on his Parkinson’s brain exercises. Though she is  there to help Paul, Alice confides in him her desire to involve her grandfather in her upcoming high school graduation and asks Paul what to do about the situation, given the elder Laird’s strained relationship with her father. Sensing an opportunity to get out of the house and engage as a therapist, Paul asks Alice to secretly meet at their special bench in the park to discuss, and bring suitable snacks. The first of multiple heartfelt moments for the episode comes in the follow-up scene on said bench when Alice shares her appreciation to Paul for his counsel since her mother’s death. Unbeknownst to Alice, in her love and gratitude, the senior therapist recognizes there is a forthcoming expiration date to his capability to work. Ford’s penchant for conveying that loss with mere facial expressions is a testament to the Emmy-nominee’s skill as a brilliant character actor. We see what Alice does not in the moment, Paul’s pain of losing his life’s purpose in the slow motion of a debilitating disease.  Keep the Kleenex handy. The powerful and poignant emotion of this journey only deepens later in the episode when the reality of not being able to do what he loves moves Paul to bring Gaby in to take over as Alice’s therapist. While the two young women agree to the transition in another of Paul’s bench meetings, Gaby recognizes the quiet pain of her mentor coming to terms with letting go of his work, but only as he walks away. Back at the hospital, amidst Brian’s growing anxiety with Ava not having signed the papers; Charlie being away on business at a critical time; and the hurry-up-and-wait of labor and delivery; Jimmy and friends hover around the young mother’s bedside with general nervousness about life-altering childbirth and their own emotional baggage. Well-intentioned Liz storms in like a hurricane that has the nursing staff running scared, taking charge, barking orders, checking monitors, of course, all as one who has her own three-part history with giving birth. Though she’s not a doctor, you’d think she has played one on TV. Where are those SCRUBS when you need them? In an all-about-me moment, Jimmy remains hung up on the idea that he is not ready for new love in his life, so much so he is oblivious to the flirting by Ava’s nurse towards him. Seriously, Jimmy, catch a clue, your jokes were not THAT funny. On a run to get snacks, Jimmy comes clean with Liz that he’s still clinging to an older version of his life, for fear a new one will only end up with another bad ending. Hence, his recent failure to launch with a neighbor, Sofi (Cobie Smulders).  Known for her brutal candor and wit, frequently delivering sharp observations, Miller’s Liz proves yet again why she IS the alpha and grounding presence among her friends. With a well-timed anecdotal walk down memory lane to take a chance in life, she sets Jimmy up to ask nurse Kimmy out for coffee. And, yes, it’s already been decided that Jimmy + Kimmy is a bit too much for couple goals. And, for those of us who have been locked into the group dynamics of this series since Day One, it has also become more apparent each week that, although it was Jimmy and his trauma who first brought these cast of characters together, it is often Liz who serves as the glue that keeps them connected. Running a close second in that regard is Liz’s wonder twin, Dr. Gaby, who finds Dr. Paul sad-sacking on his couch later that evening, still bemoaning what his health diagnosis means for his work. In a rare turn when Paul expresses his vulnerability with the role his work serves in his life, Gaby refuses to let him wallow in self-pity. Instead, she brings him to the hospital to join their friends and to meet the newest member of their tribe. Cue those Kleenex. Also starring Luke Tennie, Wendy Malik, and Devin Kawaoka, with recurring appearances by Michael J. Fox, Shrinking, season 3, streams each Wednesday on Apple TV until April 2026.

Rating:  ★★★★☆ If you’ve been hanging out in The TV Cave for a while, you know we have a soft spot for gritty, atmospheric mysteries that make you want to shake the desert sand out of your boots. AMC’s Dark Winds has consistently been that show. As Season 4 makes its grand debut on February 15th , the question isn't whether it’s good, it’s whether Joe Leaphorn can still carry the weight of the world on his shoulders without getting a permanent crick in his neck. The short answer? Absolutely. But Season 4 isn't just a retread of the dusty trails we’ve seen before. It’s an expansion of the "Leaphorn-verse" that takes us from the familiar vistas of the Navajo Nation to the smog-choked, neon-lit streets of 1970s Los Angeles . A New Map for Old Souls Based on Tony Hillerman’s The Ghostway , this season sees our favorite trio, Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon), Jim Chee (Kiowa Gordon) and the ever-reliable Bernadette Manuelito (Jessica Matten) hunting for a missing Navajo girl. The trail leads them straight into the heart of a California organized crime syndicate, proving that monsters exist just as prominently in the city as they do in the shadows of the mesas. The writing remains as solid as a canyon wall. The showrunners have managed to weave the cultural trauma of the Indian Relocation Act into a hard-boiled detective narrative without it feeling like a history lecture. It’s smart, it’s biting and it’s deeply human. The Pace: A Slow Burn with Occasional Smoke Now, let’s talk about the elephant in the wigwam: the pacing. If you’re looking for Michael Bay-style explosions every five minutes, you’re in the wrong cave. Season 4 starts with a simmer rather than a boil. There are moments in the middle episodes where the narrative feels like it’s wandering through the desert without a compass, taking its sweet time to connect the L.A. underworld to the rez. It’s a bit of a slow burn, and at times, "slow" is the operative word. However, the "dizzying pace" promised for the back half of the eight-episode run mostly delivers. Once the momentum shifts, it hits like a freight train. Acting That Commands Respect What saves those slower stretches? The acting. Zahn McClarnon is, as always, a god-tier talent. Watching him navigate the "gritty terrain" of L.A. while maintaining Leaphorn’s stoic dignity is a masterclass in subtlety. This season also marks his directorial debut and his eye for detail is as sharp as his acting. The additions to the cast are inspired. Titus Welliver swaps his Bosch badge for something different that works . Franka Potente pops up reminding us all why she’s one of the best in the business. And keep an eye on Isabel DeRoy-Olson , her performance is the emotional anchor. That's all I will say, no spoilers. The Final Verdict Despite a few narrative speed bumps, Dark Winds Season 4 remains a mesmerizing gem in AMC’s crown. It’s a gorgeous, moody and a sharp look at justice, identity and the lengths we go to for family. The transition to a larger setting could have felt like a shark-jumping moment but the creative team kept it grounded in the characters we’ve come to love. With a fifth season already greenlit for 2027, it’s clear AMC knows they have a winner. Episode 5 of Industry was absolutely insane (as per usual)! We got to see the depth of the Tender cover-up, some more focus on Sweetpea & Kwabena, Harper and Eric confronting their demons (a little), and a big push as we inch closer to the end of Season 4.  We open the episode with Eric in a car arguing with his ex-wife about one of their children causing trouble and school. She tells him that he’s absent in the girl’s lives and he gives them everything they want but not what they need. You can see this struck a chord with Eric because he’s slowly realizing how much his career and the way he views people is tied into his emotions to the job. He talks deeply with Harper and sees relationships and people as transactional. It was truly sad to see that realization in his eyes and he knows how bad what he’s saying is, but even with that, you can tell there’s some care there. He even decides that he doesn’t want to talk to the escort he’s been seeing after this. Towards the end of the episode, we think that he is finally turning over a somewhat new leaf and wants to be better; but, of course, Eric winds up meeting with the escort and hooking up with her.  Tying into Eric’s story, we have Harper struggling with something similar. We find out a little before the midway point of the episode that her brother called to let her know that her mom passed away. Even though we’ve never seen Harper’s mom on our screens, we have a pretty clear view of who she is and how she acts based on Harper and her brother’s conversations about their mom and how she tore their relationship apart with her toxicity. In Harper’s convo with Eric, she confesses that she really doesn’t know how to feel about her mom’s death. Obviously, we can tell she is a bit shocked and she also is grieving in her own way. But it’s clear that those emotions regarding that relationship are very traumatic and heavy for Harper to deal with. It was nice to see this side of her and to finally get some more context about her life and what helped her to become who she is today.  On top of this, SternTao is really going through it at the moment. Due to the lack of momentum the venture is making, Kenny calls and lets them know that they will start liquifying all of the assets SternTao has if they’re unable to build and grow in their company and secure some more interest, equity, and investments into their business. This obviously has every single character going through it for different reasons: Harper and Eric are scared to see it go under and they take it out on each other a little bit, Sweetpea is even more amped up to expose Tender so that the info’s out there and it’ll bring more people over to them, and Kwabena is upset about his stocks being liquidated.  Speaking of Kwabena and Sweetpea, we have a majority focus on them this week. I honestly think that this was the perfect move story wise to progress the Tender plot further and push us into the trip with them to see how things will go. They’re able to nail down the alleged CEO at Tender in Accra, but he seems privy of something they don’t know and/or he suspects that Sweetpea and Kwabena are trying to get info out of him. He then calls Sweetpea to confront her about the lies and he tells her the beach that they’re at it’s dangerous at night. Well of course, in true industry fashion, that means that something terrible is about to happen. Sweetpea ends up getting attacked and almost assaulted in the bathroom at the beach.  That scene was really hard to watch and I felt so bad for Sweetpea, especially after everything that happened with her getting exposed for the sex work she did. This leads to some conversations with Kwabena that are a little “chem-testy” and they wind up hooking up while on the trip. I wasn’t terribly surprised by this move, but I definitely did see the chemistry between them even if it becomes nothing.  Overall, a very strong but slower paced episode this week. I’m curious to see how the Tender exposé is going to go and who is going to be in the line of fire when they’re taken down (hopefully). I would give this episode a 4.5/5.

We’ve got storyline whiplash again for the new episode of The Rookie , however this time, it seems they’re starting to get it right. I was locked in from the start of the episode that started with a silly curse until the very end when most of our faves were in danger after an explosion.  The Glasser Case This was a tough one; Nyla and Angela helped put away an extremely dangerous serial killer. This should’ve been an easy open and shut case, but Nyla let her emotions get in the way and her threats to Liam while pursuing him were brought up during her deposition. Not a good look; and Wesley, and the District Attorney’s office had no choice but to drop the charges for Remy Darden’s death.  “Burn 4 Love” - THE ROOKIE, Pictured: Shawn Ashmore as Wesley Evers and Alyssa Diaz as Angela Lopez. All Rights Reserved.  Not only this, what was discovered during the deposition put Wesley in a tough position and he now has to report Nyla for how she conducted herself in the investigation. I thought of every possible way Wesley could’ve let this slide, but it’s like the Elijah Stone situation all over again. Despite not wanting it to go this way, I do agree that Wesley is doing the right thing informing IA of Nyla’s actions.  I wonder how this case will go on since their solid evidence against Liam fell apart.  Within the more extreme storylines, I love that we get a little closer to most of the couples. It wasn’t the over the top obvious “it’s Valentine’s day” episode, and truthfully I am grateful for it.  Lucy is struggling to find the original gift she got for Tim for Valentine’s day and enlists the help of his sister, Genny, to think of something else to get as a back up. At the same time, Tim is frustrated that the gift he bought for Lucy is stuck in transit and won’t make it to her in time, so now he  also enlists the help of his sister to get her something last minute. Watching them both stress over this was too cute. What I love about how this was written is that it didn’t put stress on the fact that this was their first Valentine’s day after getting back together.  “Burn 4 Love” - THE ROOKIE, Pictured: Melissa O’Neil as Lucy Chen and Eric Winter as Tim Bradford. Photo: Disney/Mike Taing © 2026. All Rights Reserved.  Something is off with Luna and Wade and it’s upsetting me. They don’t seem to be on the same page these days. What made me side eye Luna a bit in this episode was when Wade tried to come up with a plan to have them solidify one day where they see each other, she laughed it off, joking that it was interesting that the roles were reversed. It made me feel like she didn’t miss him as much and he was missing her.  I’m not a huge fan of Celina and Rodge together. However, I will admit their moment in this episode was cute. Nothing I love more than a secure man. When he saw Celina with the TID agent, he didn’t seem concerned at all despite the TID agent clearly thinking he was on a date with Celina. He simply said I’m too tired, is this man someone I need to worry about? Celina assured him he wasn’t and that was all he needed.  Now something that caught my attention in this episode was the vibe I was picking up between Genny and John. Tell me you saw it too. John and Bailey have been struggling a bit with Bailey being offered a job in Washington D.C. and they don’t agree with how they should handle it. All Rights Reserved.  Bailey seemed to have come to her senses, ruining Genny and John’s moment of course, when she reassured John that she was there with him until death do them part. Great, guess they’re going to work that out, but I can’t help but think that we’re hinting at something potentially happening between Genny and John. When Bailey tries to back out of going to D.C. John encourages her to go. This means Bailey will be away leaving John at home… all alone…but maybe he doesn’t have to be, right? Mid-Wilshire Up in Flames When a serial arsonist, Arnold, has an obsession with someone he was in a halfway house with, he takes her not reciprocating his feelings personally. Mandy and her girlfriend have been using Arnold’s methods of setting fires as a romantic gesture, but this didn’t sit well with Arnold. He was brought in and questioned, but eventually was free to go since he was detained while another fire was set.  Now, knowing that Mandy and her girlfriend were arrested and brought to Mid-Wilshire, he purposely jumps in front of Lucy and Celina’s shop as it’s entering the building and sets a bomb on the car. Photo: Disney/Mike Taing © 2026. All Rights Reserved.  When I tell you my jaw dropped ! Not a single person was safe. Tim, Lucy, Nyla, Celina, and Miles were all injured from the blast. This was hands down one of the best scenes I’ve ever seen on this show. They did not play it safe; everyone was in danger, everyone was injured– as the audience, you feared the worse for everyone . It felt like I wasn’t breathing until I knew Miles was going to be okay. I’m glad they’re all going to make it, which is something I can’t say about the station.
