Is Will REALLY Dead?
This second episode is continuing the shocking ending of the first. Where are Will and James Ulster? Did they die in the flaming classic Ford Mustang car? The car’s extinguished, Amanda sits in her car dreading the news, while Faith and Sheriff Roussard review the crime scene, compare findings with the fire department’s arson investigator, and come to a consensus of what’s happened. They update Amanda. Car was doused in an accelerant and actions point to murder-suicide. Pete Chin, Medical Examiner, is another great returning character/actor. He joins them and adds information no one wanted to hear. He tells Amanda that the initial assessment indicates the two burnt male bodies inside the car are consistent with James Ulster and Special Agent Will Trent. NO!
Angie arrives and Faith hugs her. She’s not ready to say goodbye, and wants to see the car. She walks to the car, gloves up and begins reviewing the burnt body in the passenger seat. Faith stops Pete from preventing Angie’s touching the body. She carefully moves her hands down the body from the head. She finds something fused to the chest. It’s a flip phone, and Angie immediately recognizes it. She knows Will hasn’t used it in over a year. Hope! She asks Pete if they found Will’s old medallion, his Mother’s necklace on the body. Pete says no jewelry was found. Angie is certain the body’s not Will’s. Faith says the other body’s probably not Ulster’s. Roussard is surprised and states it was all staged. Why? Faith offers this was all designed to slow them down. She points out that Ulster couldn’t have known about Will’s phone switch. Will could still be alive! Roussard mobilizes the marshals to block the roads. Angie and Amanda are relieved.
What Happened…..Does Will Go to the Dark Side?
Scene switch and panning to a cemetery area. One lone car is on the nearby road. It’s Will’s car with Will driving it, chilling and listening to music. He’s wearing his vest and trademark attire with cool shades on. The viewer sees him as relaxed, until the moment he’s seen through the windshield. His right hand is bloody as he grips the steering wheel. A flashback shows the point where the past episode ended. James Ulster and Will are seated on a bench in the park, and Ulster utters words stating it’s time to die.
Time switch shows Ulster walking a zip-tied Will to Will’s car, at gunpoint. There’s a struggle, Will knocks James off-guard. Will hits him and the gun goes flying across the grass. Will breaks free of the zip-ties, masterfully, as James runs off. Will takes a flying leap to tackle him to the ground. This is Wild! They fight, Will angrily punches James. Will’s face just makes you believe that the last punch to James’ face was life-threatening.
Next, you see James covered in the back seat of Will’s car. He says he can’t feel his legs. Will tells him his legs aren’t needed anymore, and turns up the music. Will has a conversation with Eduardo, his version of Siri. It’s a bit weird. Will’s gone to the dark side, and tells Eduardo he’s not ready to turn James into the authorities, yet. He keeps driving.
Amanda and Appleyard Have a Difference of Opinion
Amanda is back at GBI and in walks Deputy Director Bill Appleyard, her temporary replacement. He doesn’t approve of her directing the marshals to search for Special Agent Will Trent. Appleyard tells her she doesn’t get to make that call. Oh, oh. Amanda tells him why she made the call. Appleyard tells her she’s creating chaos, and only one of them can be in charge. Surprise! She snidely tells him she just ended her medical leave. He tells her what he thinks of her. Amanda has no time, and says she’ll get Caroline to box up his things as she leaves for the conference room.
Investigation and Search for Will Continues
Ormewood updates Faith and Angie in the conference room. He id’d the bodies in the burnt-out Ford Mustang. The body in the driver’s seat is Debbie Weggle’s roommate, Darren Torenson. She’s James Ulster’s fiancée number three. The body in the passenger seat was a person from a nearby office, dressed similarly to Will’s style. Ulster’s a monster. Amanda says Ulster has a new plan to leave the country. Franklin enters the room with new information. Caleb’s team spotted Will’s car, and Franklin gives them the address. Faith, Angie and Franklin go. Amanda mobilizes her team, directs their tasks and reminds them to use their resources wisely. Everyone moves out quickly.
Angie and Franklin inspect Will’s car, and she sees blood. She knows Will too well, and can see that he had Ulster in custody in the back seat. Franklin finds Will’s phone, and asks where he is. Angie gives him what she believes are a number of codes Will might use for his phone. She is mentally walking through what she thinks Will’s doing. She’s brilliant. Franklin quickly realizes Angie is their secret weapon to finding Will. He tells her to stay connected. Inside the gas station store, Faith and Sheriff Roussard question the store clerk. Faith asks for the security footage, but he is not willing to provide it. Roussard subtly threatens him, while Faith gives him the facts of what will happen if he doesn’t do as they ask. The clerk gladly acquiesces. Angie, Faith Franklin and Sheriff Roussard view the footage, and see Will drive up.
Will and Eduardo, A Conversation with His Conscience
Will is now really going to the dark side, and thinking he’s hearing voices in his head. He’s actually having a conversation with Eduardo over whether or not to dispose of James Ulster. Will believes and knows Ulster will kill again, and he will feel responsible for that. A lady drives up next to Will and overhears his conversation. James is calling out for help, and Will turns his back to the lady to quiet down James. She sneaks up behind him and stabs him with a syringe. It knocks him out, and she rescues James. He knows her. They drag Will to the enclosed trailer attached to her truck. Even stranger, she stabs James with another syringe, and he passes out in the trailer. All this is being viewed by the team. Angie says they have no idea who she is or what she wants.
A New Wrinkle and Shocker in The Story
Will wakes up in a locked room with a stun cuff on his ankle. James Ulster is still unconscious lying near him on the floor. He also has a stun cuff on his ankle, and Will roughly shakes him awake. He gets information from James about the woman. She’s another of his fiancées, Susan. She’s supposed to take him to a life of freedom, but Will asks if that’s true. Susan talks to James through the opening in the door. They were supposed to disappear together and head to Canada. She’s angry and tells him their trip is cancelled.
Will and James have an angry exchange when they both get a shock. It’s Susan and she opens the sliding window in the door to tell them she’s set their shock cuff on the lowest setting. Will introduces himself and tells her he’s with the GBI. She doesn’t care. She enters the room, and tells them about the settings of the shock cuff. James tries to sweet talk her, but she’s not interested. She gives them something to clean themselves up. They change into the clothes Susan gave them. James’ escape plan is not workable. Will hopes Susan’s plan involves hurting him. Susan comes and takes them to a section in the warehouse with a table and chairs. She made food for them. James doesn’t appreciate the mediocre fare. He believes it is beneath him. Will charms Susan. They say grace.
Another change in this story has Michael Ormewood face timing his son, Max. Max is upset because his Dad is using AI to look up license plates, but he won’t let him use it for his homework. Of course, Ormewood has an astute answer for his son. He suddenly feels nauseous, and turns away to almost throw up in his trash can. In comes Cooper to spill her brother’s secret. Ormewood finds the vehicle, but it has no license plate. He does find something that helps him locate the mysterious woman. His kids are adorable.
Back at the warehouse, James compliments Susan on the dinner. Will asks her how she and James met. Will encourages James to be nice to Susan and apologize to her about the other women. Will makes a great relationship counselor. Susan wants to play a game, but James doesn’t. He lets her know what he really thinks of her, and she retaliates hard. Things happen and something goes missing. She locks them both in the room again, and takes off. Will studies their surroundings and is able to determine the range of Susan’s connection to their shock cuff. He already thought of a way to escape.
Narrowing Down the List, Contractions and Conclusions
Back at the GBI, Angie lies on the floor in Ormewood’s office, as Ormewood tells them he found the vehicle and the possible identity of the mystery woman. Franklin’s worried about her. She helps him narrow the search criteria, and find a manageable list of women to interview. Ormewood and Franklin both tell Angie that she needs to get that cramp she’s feeling checked out. She gives them orders before leaving for the doctor. The list is sent to Faith and Caleb, and they begin looking for the “Sun Hat Lady”.
Caleb meets with his contact at a bar. Faith questions if he’ll be any help. The contact finally comes through by telling them about some missing stun cuffs. He identifies the face of the mystery woman.

Meanwhile, Angie gets an ultrasound, and her doctor tells her she’s having Braxton-Hicks contractions. She assures her that their baby is fine. Scott is there to calm his wife. Everything looks fine. The doctor gives her recommendations. Scott is anxious about Angie working and what she’s doing to their baby. He doesn’t want her out looking for Will. She tells him why she’s doing it. He tells Angie he and their baby are her family, and walks off.
Back at the warehouse, James and Will try unsuccessfully to escape. James tells Will he loves him. Will asks him if he regrets killing his mother, and James admits he does. He says Will has a monster inside him because he wanted to kill him. Will finds another way to escape.
Angie finds the location of where Will may be. Ormewood tells her to stay in her car and wait for Caleb and Faith. They’re on the way. She assures him she will. She talks to her baby, when Susan drives up. Will and James figure out a way to escape, Susan enters the building, Will and James’ shock cuffs light up. Angie opens the door and follows Susan in.
Do James and Will escape, does Susan kill them both, will Angie get hurt or go into labor, do Faith and Caleb finally get there in time? What weird prophetic statement does James tell Will?
Scott and Angie have a serious talk. Angie opens up and tells him about her life. Scott shares his fears. They are really a wonderful couple. Faith, Cooper, Max and Michael have breakfast. Faith asks Michael how he’s feeling, and he tells her it’s not so good. She offers to take care of his kids, while he gets checked out, but he says he can handle it. They work well together. At the GBI, Amanda and Appleyard have an interesting talk. He unsuccessfully tries to intimidate her. Caleb checks on Will. Betty loves Caleb. Caleb tells him they found his car, and lets Will know he’s there for him anytime. Their relationship is strengthening.
This was another supercharged Will Trent Worthy episode. I loved how they ended it with Family, and one declaration of war. Did not expect that final twist with Susan. She was a wacky, far-gone character suited to James Ulster. Her quickly taking one of his appendages without a thought was a real shocker! This episode was well-orchestrated, and left the viewer with a nice feeling of perhaps things will work out for everyone. Angie and Michael Ormewood really had scary moments. Still getting used to Ormewood with a full head of hair. He looks great. It’s amazing to see how easily Faith and the Ormewood Family work together. Both Faith and Michael have grown
